Study type: Interventional

Evaluation of clinical response in terms of resectability of patients with locally advanced pancreatic cancer treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy plus stereotactic body radiotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT03460769 Recruiting - Pancreatic Cancer Clinical Trials

Evaluation of a Mixed Meal Test for Diagnosis and Characterization and Type 3c Diabetes Mellitus Secondary to Pancreatic Cancer and Chronic Pancreatitis (DETECT)

Start date: November 1, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The Coordinating and Data Management Center (CDMC) at MD Anderson Cancer will be responsible for the coordination and data management for the Evaluation of a mixed meal test for Diagnosis and characterization of Type 3c diabetes mellitus secondary to pancreatic cancer and chronic pancreatitis (DETECT), which is part of the NIH U01 funded Consortium for the Study of Chronic Pancreatitis, Diabetes, and Pancreatic Cancer (CPDPC). Similar to all studies that will be coordinated and managed by the CDMC, no patient enrollment will occur at MDACC. All patient recruitment will occur at external sites that are a part of the CPDPC, which are listed in the appended DETECT protocol. The data management systems, auditing, and monitoring effort are supported by the CDMC.

Start date: January 30, 2018
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase I study is designed to establish the safety, maximally tolerated dose (MTD) and recommended phase II dose (RP2D) of the ERK inhibitor ulixertinib (BVD-523) when combined with the CDK4/6 inhibitor palbociclib.

NCT ID: NCT03452774 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

SYNERGY-AI: Artificial Intelligence Based Precision Oncology Clinical Trial Matching and Registry

Start date: January 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

International registry for cancer patients evaluating the feasibility and clinical utility of an Artificial Intelligence-based precision oncology clinical trial matching tool, powered by a virtual tumor boards (VTB) program, and its clinical impact on pts with advanced cancer to facilitate clinical trial enrollment (CTE), as well as the financial impact, and potential outcomes of the intervention.

NCT ID: NCT03447691 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Pancreatic Cancer or Distal CBD Cancer

Comparison Between Volatile Anesthetic-desflurane and Total Intravenous Anesthesia With Propofol and Remifentanil on Early Recovery Quality and Long Term Prognosis of Patients Undergoing Pancreatic Cancer and Common Bile Duct Cancer Surgery

Start date: August 27, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Investigators asses whether there is any difference in short term recovery and long term prognosis according to the anesthetic method in patients who undergoing pancreatic cancer and bile duct cancer and undergoing surgery for PPPD or distal pancreatectomy.

NCT ID: NCT03435289 Recruiting - Pancreatic Cancer Clinical Trials

A Study of CPI-613 With Gemcitabine and Nab-paclitaxel for Patients With Advanced or Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer

Start date: October 19, 2017
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is a single arm, open-label study of CPI-613 in combination with gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel for patients with locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic cancer never treated with systemic chemotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT03401827 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma

The Effect of Gemcitabine Plus Nab-paclitaxel as Secondary Chemotherapy in Advanced Pancreatic Cancer

Start date: March 1, 2018
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Pancreatic cancer is a very poor prognosis and has a high mortality rate. The clinical results have improved somewhat with the combination therapy of chemotherapy as the first-line treatment. However, effective secondary chemotherapy after these first-line treatment failures is limited. Recently, FOLFIRINOX has been used in patients with locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic cancer who have good performance in Korea. Gemcitabine + nab-paclitaxel (GnP) as a second-line treatment after FOLFIRINOX may be expected to be considerable. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of GnP as a second-line treatment after failed FOLFIRINOX treatment for locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.

NCT ID: NCT03400280 Recruiting - Pancreatic Cancer Clinical Trials

POstopeRative Standardization of Care: THe Implementation of Best Practice After Pancreatic Resection

PORSCH
Start date: January 8, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This Nationwide stepped-wedge cluster randomized trial is designed to evaluate if the implementation of a best practice algorithm for postoperative care results in a decrease in incidence of major complications and death after pancreatic resection as compared to current practice.

NCT ID: NCT03400072 Recruiting - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

Adapted Physical Activity in Patients With Resected Pancreatic Cancer (APACaPOp PRODIGE-56 Study): a National Multicenter Randomized Controlled Phase II Trial

APACaPOp
Start date: August 3, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Exercise during chemotherapy (CT) is a promising strategy to reduce fatigue and improve health-related quality of life (HRQoL). Exercise may also have beneficial effects on tumor outcome by decreasing insulin resistance, inflammation, and by modulating various pro-tumoral signalling pathways. It has been shown to reduce mortality in breast and colorectal cancer adjuvant setting. This study aims to explore the effects of adapted physical activity (APA) in patients with resected pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).
