This study will enroll a total of 16 patients with advanced pancreatic cancer at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. All subjects will receive combination therapy of gemcitabine, nab-paclitaxel, and L-glutamine. The study investigates what the appropriate dosage of L-glutamine is so that there is the lowest risk of side effects, and whether the supplement will make standard chemotherapy of gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel more effective in treating advanced pancreatic cancer.

ATLAS-101 is a Phase I/II clinical trial of AMXI-5001 in adult participants with advanced malignancies who have previously failed other therapies. The study has two phases. The purpose of Phase I (Dose Escalation) is to confirm the appropriate treatment dose and Phase II (Dose Expansion) is to characterize the safety and efficacy of AMXI-5001.
The overall objective of this project is to determinate the feasibility of administering personalized therapy to subjects with advanced pancreatic cancer utilizing the novel OncoTreat platform. The primary objective of this study is to assess the feasibility of implementing the OncoTreat framework in patients with newly diagnosed, untreated metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma.

This is a prospective single-center observational study with the mail objective to identify specific subgroups of patients planned for pancreatic resection, at high risk for postoperative morbidity and impaired recovery through preoperative screening of physical, functional, nutritional and psychological risk factors using patient reported questionnaires and performance tests. Consecutive patients planned for pancreatic resection will be enrolled to screen for physical, functional, nutritional and psychological risk factors. The study duration is 3 years: 2 years of recruitment and 1 year of follow-up. The findings of the present study will enable researchers to identify specific risk categories to plan personalized prehabilitation programs and modulate oncologic treatment strategies in cancer patients planned for pancreatic surgery.
The purpose of this study is to better understand what types of transitions people with pancreatic cancer face when they receive chemotherapy. Again, this study defines transition as a change in a life situation or a status that causes a change in a person's identity, role, behavior, or personal relationships. Examples of transitions include changes in sleeping habits, anxiety, employment, relationship with a higher power, and treatment goals.
BOLD-100 is an intravenously administered sterile solution containing the ruthenium-based small molecule. BOLD-100 has been shown to preferentially decrease the expression of GRP78 in tumour cells and ER stressed cells when compared to normal cells. BOLD-100 will be combined with cytotoxic FOLFOX chemotherapy in this study, with a dose escalation cohort to ensure tolerability and safety, followed by a cohort expansion phase.
