NCT ID: NCT04603274 Completed - Pain Clinical Trials

Efficacy of Electroacupuncture in Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Start date: July 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this clinical study is to assess the effectiveness of electroacupuncture in reducing the severity of symptoms, in improving limb function, in improving the aesthetic and motor conduction of the median nerve and in reducing its cross-sectional area at the inlet of the carpal tunnel in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome. All upper extremities diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome will be treated with electroacupuncture for 8 sessions. Clinical, electrophysiological and ultrasonography outcome measures will be evaluated before and after the intervention, to assess the result.

NCT ID: NCT04587973 Completed - Anesthesia Clinical Trials

Bilateral Erector Spinae Plane Block (ESPB) in Laparoscopic Cholecystectomies

Start date: June 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the trial is to study the efficacy of bilateral Erector Spinae Plane Block (ESPB) in managing perioperative pain in patients who undergo elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy

NCT ID: NCT04586751 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

The Impact of Pecs Blocks on Postmastectomy Pain Syndrome

Start date: August 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the present study is to investigate the incidence of chronic pain following breast cancer surgery in Cyprus, discover its associated risk factors and explore the impact of Pecs Blocks on the appearance of post mastectomy chronic pain symptoms

NCT ID: NCT04565600 Completed - Pain Syndrome Clinical Trials

Prevention of Taxane-associated Acute Pain Syndrome With Etoricoxib

Start date: March 1, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A phase II randomized clinical trial was conducted to determine whether etoricoxib could prevent or ameliorate the incidence and/or severity of docetaxel-induced acute pain syndrome. We also aimed to determine if there are any improvement of the late-onset peripheral neuropathy as well as quality of life with prophylactic etoricoxib for breast cancer patients who receive docetaxel chemotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT04555980 Completed - Pain Syndrome Clinical Trials

Warm Patch Decrease Propofol Injection Pain

Start date: March 20, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Propofol causes injection pain is still a common clinical unsolved problem. Mixing a small amount of lidocaine with propofol or injecting lidocaine in advance can reduce the pain caused by propofol injection. Using an air warmer to warm the arm can also reduce the pain caused by propofol injection. Investors suspect that treatment with a warming patch (covering the injection site) can also reduce the pain caused by propofol injection.

NCT ID: NCT04546113 Recruiting - Analgesia Clinical Trials

Erector Spinae Plane Block Versus Paravertebral Block for Analgesia After Cardiac Surgery (PEPS)

PEPS
Start date: January 7, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this randomized double-blind study is to compare the analgesic efficacy of the bilateral Erector Spinae Plane (ESP) block versus the bilateral Thoracic Paravertebral block (TPVB), by ultrasound-guided single injection in patients who underwent sternotomy for cardiac surgery.

NCT ID: NCT04527770 Completed - Pain Syndrome Clinical Trials

Midazolam Versus Dexamethasone as an Adjuvant to Local Anesthetics in the Ultrasound Guided Hydrodissection of Median Nerve for Treatment of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Patients

Start date: September 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

midazolam and dexamethasone both can counteract chronic pain. either via GABA mimetic action or via anti prostaglandins

NCT ID: NCT04498923 Completed - Postoperative Pain Clinical Trials

Duration of Blockade of Peripheral Nerves With Bupivacaine Depending of the Adjuvants

DBBA
Start date: January 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The main aim of the investigator's study is to propose combination of local anesthetics and adjuvants that provides both adequate anesthesia during surgery and prolonged post-operative analgesia.

NCT ID: NCT04299893 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Chemotherapy-induced Peripheral Neuropathy

Ozone Therapy in Chemotherapy-induced Peripheral Neuropathy: RCT (O3NPIQ)

O3NPIQ
Start date: November 30, 2020
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The main objective of this clinical trial is to evaluate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of adding ozone therapy to the clinical management of patients with pain secondary to chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy

NCT ID: NCT04162730 Active, not recruiting - Knee Osteoarthritis Clinical Trials

Validity, Reliability and Responsiveness of Pain Sensitization Questionnaire

Start date: January 8, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of this study was to translate the Pain Sensitivity Questionnaire, which was developed to determine the level of pain sensitivity of individuals, to Turkish and to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the scale on knee osteoarthritis patients, and as well as to perform cultural adaptation. Pain sensitivity assessment is used to predict treatment or surgical outcomes of individuals. IPain Sensitivity Questionnaire is a frequently used scale that correlates with experimental pain tests and is used in studies conducted in different patient groups. We believe that adding this scale to our language will contribute to other studies in this field.
