Exercise has a significant role to play in managing treatments. This study aimed to determine the effect of yoga-based exercises combined with aerobic exercise on spinal mobility, disease activity and aerobic capacity in AxSpA.
Inclusion of new biomarkers to improve the personalized treatment approach for HPV-positive and -negative oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) patients is urgently needed. Emerging evidences suggest that mutations in epigenetic regulators, as well as epigenetic changes, deeply influence the biology of OPSCC, thus representing attractive targets for the definition of novel molecular markers for this malignancy. Based on these considerations, our project aims to retrospectively identify a new mutational and epigenetic signature to identify OPSCC patients at high risk of early relapse, and to set up a new multicenter prospective study in order to validate it
Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is a frequent worldwide cause for stroke with a mortality of around 30%. Worldwide, almost 500 000 patients have aneurysmal SAH annually.An incidence of 2-16 cases of spontaneous SAH per 100 000 person-years was reported in a recent meta-analysis . Surgical treatment of aneurysms is essential in the acute phase of aSAH patients, either by surgical clipping or by endovascular embolization. Although there are many factors that influence the prognosis of patients with aSAH, cerebral vasospasm (CVS) and delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI) are the main factors contributing to the high mortality rate (30-40% within 30 days) and poor long-term functional prognosis of patients after aSAH. Cerebral vasospasm (CVS) is defined as focal or diffuse temporary narrowing of vessel diameter due to contraction of smooth muscle in the arterial wall, which can be detected by digital subtraction angiography (DSA), transcranial ultrasound Doppler (TCD), magnetic resonance (MR), and CT angiography (CTA) or visualised during intraoperative.The prevalence of CVS after aSAH is 67% , with symptomatic patients (symptomatic vasospasm) in 30-40% of them and leading to ischaemic events in 10-45% of patients. It usually begins 3-4 days after bleeding, peaks at 7-10 days and finally resolves at around 14-21 days. There is no effective treatment to prevent cerebral vasospasm events.Shuxuening Injection is a sterilized aqueous solution made by extraction of Ginkgo biloba. The study aims to clarify the clinical study of the efficacy and safety of Shuxuening Injection (10ml/branch) for the prophylactic of cerebral vasospasm (CVS) after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.
A Study of Anti-CD19 Chimeric Antigen Receptor T Cell Therapy in Subjects with Non-relapsing and Progressive Forms of Multiple Sclerosis
This is an investigator-initiated, single-arm, exploratory clinical study.The study population consisted of treatment naive advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma patients. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy and residual lesions irradiation of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
The goal of this registry-based observational study is to establish a comprehensive management plan, which focus on medical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation and active post-market surveillance of medical devices, in patients with cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Patients with CVD mainly refers to four groups of patients:1) post-percutaneous coronary intervention (post-PCI) patients; 2) patients with heart failure (HF); 3) patients with cardiometabolic diseases (CMD); 4) patients with structural heart disease (SHD), and the detailed definition of each group can be found in "Eligibility" section. The main questions this study aims to answer are: - the effectiveness of exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation in improving cardiac function, reducing CVD recurrence and mortality, and promoting quality of life for patients with CVD; - the feasibility of registry-based active post-market surveillance of high-risk medical devices used in cardiovascular surgeries, such as PCI, heart valve replacement, and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT); - the utilization of multiomics datasets to identify and dissect cardiovascular heterogeneity in both healthy and diseased populations and to guide precision medicine in patients with CVD; - the analysis and evaluation of the prescription patterns and drug response in patients with CVD.
This is a Phase 1/2, global multicentre, open-label, single-arm, dose escalation and dose optimisation study of AZD0486 to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of AZD0486 monotherapy in participants with R/R B ALL who have received ≥ 2 prior lines of therapies. The study will consist of 3 parts. Part A monotherapy dose escalation. Part B dose optimisation. Part C Dose expansion at the recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D)
Cannabidiol oil has been shown to be effective in treating chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting, but there is limited information on its usefulness in nausea and vomiting that can occur after surgery. The goal of this study is to determine the effect of Cannabidiol oil on the frequency of nausea and vomiting in the first 24 hours after a gynaecological procedure. Other effects that will be assessed will include: 1. The effect of Cannabidiol oil on the level of pain and amount of pain medications needed in the first 24 hours after a gynaecological operation. 2. The effect of Cannabidiol oil on patients' overall satisfaction with the anaesthetic experience. Some participants will be administered Cannabidiol oil under the tongue two to three hours before their procedure and an equal number will receive a placebo oil, similar in taste. This will be done randomly to minimise introducing bias. We will then compare both groups in the postoperative period to see if the Cannabidiol oil made any difference.
This is a single-arm, single-centre phase II study to evaluate the efficacy (PFS, ORR, DCR) and safety of recombinant human adenovirus type 5 in combination with tirelizumab and platinum-containing dual-agent chemotherapy in previously untreated patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer who are EGFR/ALK negative. The study is divided into 2 phases.
RT-310, a novel implant, is intended to minimally invasive treat locally the prostate gland for the management of prostate disease, while minimizing side-effects. The objectives of the study are to assess whether RT-310 is safe and feasible for the participant population.
