Filter by:The ACTION (Awareness, Care, and Treatment In Obesity management) study aims to identify perceptions, attitudes, behaviours, and potential barriers to effective obesity care across three respondent types: 1) People with Obesity, 2) Healthcare Providers and 3) Employer Representatives in the US. Data is collected via online surveys using a cross-sectional, US-based stratified sample design.
The purpose of this study is to assess for acute hemodynamic changes after implementation of noninvasive negative pressure ventilation (as compared with spontaneous respiration) in pediatric patients with Fontan failure using modern negative pressure ventilators
This randomized, active-controlled, two-armed, open-label, and cross-over trial was designed to compare efficacy and safety of 0.03 mg/kg/day subcutaneous injections of either CinnaTropin® or Novo Nordisk growth hormone product in 30 children with Idiopathic Growth Hormone Deficiency. Patients were randomized to receive one of the products for three months. After that, each patient crossed over to the other arm to receive the other product for another three months. The primary objective of this study was to compare the efficacy of CinnaGen growth hormone (GH) with Nordilet. The secondary objectives of this study were further comparison and evaluation of efficacy along with safety between CinnaTropin® and Nordilet®.
This study aims to evaluate the impact of AbbVie Care 2.0 on adalimumab's compliance, patient reported outcomes and utilization of health resources over 12 months.
Systematic establishment of exosome proteomics in co-culture medium and clinical sepsis specimens will be done. Ubiquitination-autophagy-apoptosis biomarkers in exosomes will be detected and correlated to specific organ failure in sepsis. The inflammatory process also will be validated by cytokines analysis. NTA double markers identification will be a smart method to understand the exosome subpopulations.
A multicentre, randomised, double-blind,4-stages phase III study enrolled 414 patients with chronic, previously treated ITP. Dosage could be adjusted (2.5~.75 mg/day) to maintain platelet counts 50~250×109/L
Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP) is the most common vasculitis in children, with an incidence of approximately 10:100 000 children and a slight male predominance (male-to-female ratio of 1.5:1). Henoch-Schönlein purpura nephritis (HSPN) is the principal cause of morbidity for HSP and 1%-7% of HSPN patients may progress to renal failure or end-stage renal disease. Immunosuppressive therapy has become the standard treatment in children with HSPN, however the use of these drugs are still mainly in an off-label manner in clinical practice. Tacrolimus, a calcineurin inhibitor, has been recently suggested in the treatment of HSPN in children. However, the evidence-based clinical data are still limited. Given the potential benefits and unmet need in clinical practice, the purposes of this pilot study were to assess effectiveness and safety of tacrolimus in HSPN children and evaluate the potential impact of CYP3A5.
There is significant unmet need for effective treatment options for Diffuse Cutaneous Systemic Sclerosis (dcSSc). The present study will be a dose-escalation safety trial of brentuximab vedotin, a drug-antibody conjugate approved for the treatment of lymphoma and targeted to the protein CD30 molecule expressed on activated immune cells There is evidence for CD30 involvement in SSc. This study represents the first step in determining safety and tolerability of brentuximab vedotin in SSc.
This is an observational study evaluating a catheter salvage strategy in relation to catheter-related bloodstream infections in patients with chronic intestinal failure dependent on home parenteral support. The study is confined to the period 2002 to 2016.
The purpose of this trial is to determine the safety and effectiveness of the Edwards SAPIEN 3 transcatheter heart valve and delivery systems which are intended for use in patients with symptomatic, calcific, severe aortic stenosis, and are in high risk.
