Filter by:PHASE II STUDY OF DURVALUMAB IN COMBINATION WITH LENALIDOMIDE IN RELAPSED/REFRACTORY EBV ASSOCIATED SUBTYPES OF DLBCL, PRIMARY CNS LYMPHOMA AND PRIMARY TESTICULAR DLBCL Patients with relapsed refractory subtypes of DLBCL who fulfill the inclusion / exclusion criteria will be recruited to this trial and treated in this open label, phase 2 trial with the PDL1 inhibitor Durvalumab and Lenalidomide. The combination treatment will be given from the time of recruitment for 6 months when Lenalidomide will be stopped but Durvalumab will continue for a total of 2 years. Response will be assessed by PET / CT scans as per standard lugano criteria.
Through the mapping of retrospective patient data into a discrete multidimensional space, a novel algorithm for homeostatic analysis, was built to make outcome predictions. In this prospective study, the ability of the algorithm to predict patient mortality and influence clinical outcomes, will be investigated.
This study will examine the efficacy of a dyadic therapy intervention for mothers who have histories of adverse events (e.g., history of family violence, partner violence, family conflict, and/or childhood trauma, including abuse/neglect) and their very young children (ages 0-5 years), with the goal of demonstrating how an evidence supported, community-based and/or hospital-based therapeutic intervention may help reduce exposure to trauma and incidents of child maltreatment, improve parental stress and mental health, and secure parent-child attachment. The three main objectives associated with Project BELONG are: 1) to determine the effectiveness of a dyadic care model in improving parent/child interaction, parenting confidence and competence, reducing parenting stress and social isolation, and improving access to concrete supports; 2) to address maltreatment risk in children by enhancing social-emotional functioning and developmental progress; and 3) to train new and future mental health professionals in dyadic mental health services and disseminate the model and findings through health professional schools and publications.
The goal of this clinical research study is to learn if daratumumab can help to control B- or T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The safety of daratumumab will also be studied. This is an investigational study. Daratumumab is FDA approved and commercially available for treatment of multiple myeloma. It is considered investigational to use daratumumab to treat ALL. The study doctor can explain how the study drug is designed to work. Up to 72 participants will be enrolled in this study. All will take part at MD Anderson.
To collect and analyze the physiologic data of the ICON™ during dexmedetomidine (DEX) sedation for neonatal pulmonary function testing. The ICON™ is a noninvasive physiological monitor which uses respiratory impedance to follow systemic vascular resistance (SVR), heart rate, cardiac index and stroke index.
The goal of this clinical research study is to find the highest tolerable dose of TAK228 that can be given in combination with brentuximab vedotin in patients with lymphoma. The safety of this combination will also be studied. This is an investigational study. TAK228 is not FDA approved or commercially available. It is currently being used for research purposes only. Brentuximab vedotin is FDA approved and commercially available for the treatment of different types of lymphoma. The study doctor can explain how the study drugs are designed to work. Up to 18 participants will be enrolled in this study. All will take part at MD Anderson.
Women with breast cancer often develop metastases in the brain. Currently, treatment of these metastases is difficult and relies on radiotherapy or surgery which often fail. Therefore, development of new methods of treatment for breast cancer with brain metastasis is very important. T-DM1 is a drug that is already in everyday use for a specific type of breast cancer called HER2-positive breast cancer. The objective of this study is to investigate whether T-DM1 is also effective in brain metastasis and can help patients to live longer and better
Inappropriate prescribing exposes patients to health risks and results in wasteful public expenditures. This study will evaluate an approach to fighting abusive prescription: sending letters to suspected potentially inappropriate prescribers warning them that they are outliers compared to their peers and have been flagged for review. The study will target high prescribers of opioids in the Schedule II controlled substances class. Two types of letters will be tested: one focusing on the health consequences of inappropriate prescribing for patients, and the other focusing on the consequences for prescribers including e.g. potential administrative actions. Using claims data, the investigators will assess the effect of the letters on prescribing of opioids, receipt of opioids by patients, substitution behavior by prescribers and patients, and health outcomes of patients.
