Secondly, the purpose is to determine the protection of the helmet make and model relative to amount and magnitude of sustained head impacts.
Alveolar bone graft is one of the main step of the surgical care of the patients who are suffering from cleft lip and palate. They are usually performed before the lateral incisor eruption, at about 5 years old and using cancellous bone taken from the iliac crest. The aim of the study is to show if adding a cortical graft to the cancellous cause more complications, which may be source of partial or total graft loss in the 6 month following the observation
Childhood obesity is a critical public health problem in the United States. One factor known to contribute to childhood obesity is excess consumption. Importantly, excess consumption related to weight gain is not necessarily driven by hunger. For example, environmental food cues stimulate brain reward regions and lead to overeating even after a child has eaten to satiety. This type of cued eating is associated with increased attention to food cues; the amount of time a child spends looking at food cues (e.g., food advertisements) is associated with increased caloric intake. However, individual susceptibility to environmental food cues remains unknown. It is proposed that the prevalent practice of media multi-tasking-simultaneously attending to multiple electronic media sources-increases attention to peripheral food cues in the environment and thereby plays an important role in the development of obesity. It is hypothesized that multi-tasking teaches children to engage in constant task switching that makes them more responsive to peripheral cues, many of which are potentially harmful (such as those that promote overeating). The overarching hypothesis is that media multi-tasking alters the attentional networks of the brain that control attention to environmental cues. High media multi-tasking children are therefore particularly susceptible to food cues, thereby leading to increased cued eating. It is also predicted that attention modification training can provide a protective effect against detrimental attentional processing caused multi-tasking, by increasing the proficiency of the attention networks. These hypotheses will be tested by assessing the pathway between media-multitasking, attention to food cues, and cued eating. It will also be examined whether it is possible to intervene on this pathway by piloting an at-home attention modification training intervention designed to reduce attention to food cues. It is our belief that this research will lead to the development of low-cost, scalable tools that can train attention networks so that children are less influenced by peripheral food cues, a known cause of overeating. For example, having children practice attention modification intervention tasks regularly (which could be accomplished through user-friendly computer games or cell phone/tablet apps) might offset the negative attentional effects of media multi-tasking.

For patients with refractory acute leukemia, allogeneic stem cell transplantation is the only curative therapy. Only 20% of patients may achieve long-term survival mostly due to relapse or nor-relapse mortality (NRM). In previous study, we demonstrated that intensive leukemia debulking chemotherapy FLAG-IDA sequential with Flu-BU conditioning is feasible with ~40% long-term survival. In the study, we further modified the chemotherapy with cladribine replacing fludarabine aiming a more potent anti-leukemia effect. Meanwhile, we reduce the dose of busulfan for patients with poor performance status and age over 45 aim to reduce the NRM. All patients will also receive post-transplantation maintenance therapy with low-dose decitabine to prevent relapse.
In this study the effect of the Health-Promoting Lifestyle Education Program (HPLEP) provided to women with GDM on maternal and neonatal health was investigated. The education program and also usual care applied to the intervention group, only usual care applied to the control group.

Primigravid women with singleton pregnancies in the first stage of labor at the 35th week of gestation were included in the study. The peineal body length of the patients was measured by the same physician.
This is a research study to collect information from people that have Clostridium difficile infection (CDI) and are treated with a standard antibiotic treatment in which the antibiotic dose is gradually reduced over 6 weeks and bezlotoxumab (BEZLO), an approved monoclonal antibody targeting C. difficile toxin, which has shown to reduce CID recurrence when used in combination with standard antibiotic treatment.
Introduction: Local anesthetic failure is an unavoidable aspect of dental practice. A number of factors contribute to this, which may be related to either the patient or the operator. Patient-dependent factors may be anatomical, pathological or psychological1-3. Work is still going on by dental clinicians and researchers in order to find an optimal local anesthetic agent which it has a high potency and rapid onset of action.4-6. However, pain free injection also play a role in improving the patient perceptions toward the dentist and dental treatments and encouraging patients to attend a regular checkup5-8. Failure of the local anaesthetic injections using Inferior Alveolar Nerve Block (IANB) for lower teeth in asymptomatic and symptomatic patients requires additional buck-up strategies to achieve pain free dental treatment. Otherwise, the patient complains of severe pain and hindering the clinician to proceed to the dental treatment. Mechanism of action for intraseptal injection The route of diffusion and distribution of the anaesthetic solution in the intraseptal technique is most likely through the medullary bone (Fig. 1). It offers anaesthesia to the bone, delicate/soft tissues, root structure in the region of infusion. It is best when both pain control and haemostasis are wanted for delicate /soft tissue and bony periodontal treatment. Advantages of intraseptal injection In contrast to IANB and local infiltration, the intraseptal technique prevents the anaesthesia of tissues such as lips and tongue hence, decreases the chances of cheek or lip biting (self-trauma). It necessitates minimum or least dosage of local anaesthetic and minimizes bleeding during the surgical procedure. This technique being less traumatic, has immediate or instantaneous (<30-sec) onset of action and comparatively less number of postsurgical complications14. Intravascular injection is extremely unlikely to occur15compared to IANB or infiltration. Assertions that intraseptal anaesthesia is immediate are properly consistent with previous clinical results. Their findings reported that the onset of action for anaesthesia was within one minute after injection. So the onset time can be considered rapid if not immediate. Disadvantages of intraseptal Injection Clinical experience and multiple tissue punctures may be necessary to perform this technique. During the anaesthetic procedure, the anaesthetic solution may leak in to the oral cavity resulting discomfort and an unpleasant or bitter taste. The effective period anaesthesia for pulpal and soft-tissues is very limited20 hence multiple repeats may be required for longer surgical procedures.
