Transcutaneous Sensors for the Detection of Cancer-Related Lymphedema, Project Limb Rescue Study

This clinical trial studies how well new adhesive-based sensors that stick to the skin (transcutaneous) work in detecting cancer-related long-term arm swelling (lymphedema). For many patients, lymphedema s painful, unsightly, and weakening. The early signs of lymphedema are hard to see, and sometimes it is only diagnosed by hospital equipment at larger centers. Treating lymphedema early is usually more successful than trying to treat in later stages. The adhesive-based sensors used in this study work by using techniques called photoplethysmography (PPG) and bioimpedance (BI). PPG is an optical technique that can be used to detect blood volume changes in tissue. BI evaluates how tissue responds to an externally applied electrical current. This study may assist researchers in distinguishing participants with lymphedema in comparison to participants without lymphedema, and develop a way for patients to check for lymphedema at home.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate sacituzumab tirumotecan versus pemetrexed in combination with carboplatin for the treatment of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-mutated advanced non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Participants in this study have NSCLC that has continued to progress on prior treatment with EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs). The primary hypotheses of this study are that sacituzumab tirumotecan is better than platinum-based doublet chemotherapy (pemetrexed and carboplatin) in regard to progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS).

Bipolar Androgen Therapy to Restore Sensitivity to Androgen Deprivation Therapy for Patients With Metastatic Castration Resistant Prostate Cancer

This phase I trial tests the change in androgen receptor sensitivity, side effects and effectiveness of bipolar androgen therapy, using testosterone, in patients with castration resistant prostate cancer that has spread to other places is the body (metastatic). Bipolar androgen therapy is the regulation of testosterone between castration levels (lower than what would be normally present) and supraphysiological levels (amounts greater than normally found in the body). This may suppress cancer cell growth, which reduces prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels and may delay cancer progression.

Our project proposal is based on an individualized rehabilitation approach in patients with early stage relapsing remission (RR) MS. This approach will be based on risk stratification obtained using several clinical and demographic parameters that are not commonly used in clinical practice. This risk score will be obtained from an extensive neuropsychological, psychosocial and physical assessment to which patients will undergo at baseline and at one-year follow-up.The risk score will allow a better stratification of patients' risk of disease worsening/progression and the application of a preventive and personalized strategy.

The Role Of Laserpuncture For Prevention Of Nausea And Vomiting Post Strabismus Surgery With General Anesthesia In Adult Patients

This study to determine the effectiveness of a combination of pre-surgical laserpuncture with standard anti-emetic therapy for PONV symptoms in adult patients after strabismus surgery under general anesthesia compared to a combination of pre-surgical placebo laserpuncture with standard anti-emetic therapy. Research design using a double blinded randomized controlled trial (RCT) where research subjects and data takers who will be disguised. The research will be carried out in the Operation and Inpatient Room, Kirana Building, RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo (RSCM) with research subjects as adult patients undergoing strabismus surgery under general anesthesia. Assessment of nausea and vomiting using AVS ( Analog Visual Scale) consists of scoring using a score from 1-5 which indicates the severity of nausea and vomiting.

A Prospective Study on Esophagogastrostomy by an Innovative Surgical Technique

This is a single-center, open-label, Phase Ib/II study aiming to assess the perioperative safety and postoperative outcomes of a novel surgical technique in treating primary adenocarcinoma located in the upper 1/3 of the stomach or gastroesophageal junction (Siewert II or III). The study will enroll 30 patients who will undergo totally laparoscopic proximal gastrectomy with esophagogastrostomy by fissure technique. Clinical data will be collected to evaluate perioperative safety. Patients will be followed for at least 3 months, during which endoscopy will be performed to analyze occurrences and reasons for anastomotic-related complications. Additionally, the quality of life after surgery will be evaluated by QLQ-C30 and QLQ-STO22.
