NCT ID: NCT05622032 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Haploidentical Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation

Blood Virome After Haploidentical Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation, a Pilot Study

Start date: September 20, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this observational study is to assess the risk of viral infections in patients receiving hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) from a haploidentical donor compared to those who receive HSCT from a HLA-matched donor. The main question it aims to answer is: to describe which viruses are replicating in the blood of the above two patient groups on the day of transplantation and at 1, 3 and 6 months after transplantation. Blood samples taken as part of routine care on the day of transplantation and at 1, 3 and 6 months post-transplantation visits are analyzed and the types and amount of viruses detected in the two groups of patients are described.

NCT ID: NCT05618756 Active, not recruiting - Appetitive Behavior Clinical Trials

CBD, Nutrient Metabolism and Energy Intake

Start date: October 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

CBD may affect metabolic control and energy intake. However, there is currently little data regarding these specific outcomes in humans. Therefore, this study will investigate whether a single 300 mg dose of CBD can improve metabolic control following a meal and/or reduce energy intake at a subsequent meal. Healthy, adult volunteers will complete two conditions in a crossover design, comparing outcomes following both CBD and placebo supplementation.

NCT ID: NCT05613283 Active, not recruiting - Cervical Cancer Clinical Trials

Primary Cervical Cancer Screening by Self-sampling HPV Test

PREVENT
Start date: November 19, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Cervical cancer seriously threatens women's health and HPV infection is the main cause of cervical cancer. Traditionally, Cervical cancer screening is based on cervical exfoliated cell samples collected by health care provider, which is labor consuming and the coverage and compliance are both relatively low in some areas. Non-invasive hrHPV self-sampling test appears to be more acceptable and may improve the HPV screening coverage. This study aims to evaluate the clinical performance of a newly developed urine/vaginal self-sampling hrHPV test in Cervical cancer screening.

NCT ID: NCT05611528 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia

Safety and Effectiveness of Evinacumab for the Treatment of Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia

Start date: February 21, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is an open-label study designed to evaluate the long-term safety and efficacy of evinacumab, a fully human ANGPTL3 antibody, in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH), in a real-life setting in Canada. Eligible patients for this study are male and female adult patients with HoFH. Evinacumab will be added on top of the patient's background lipid-modifying therapy (LMT), including statins, ezetimibe, PCSK9 inhibitors, lomitapide or other lipid lowering therapies. This study will be conducted using an hybrid (on-site, foldable sites) approach. Patients will enter the current study, in an open-label treatment period, following their screening. This study will continue until reimbursement of evinacumab in Canada or for a maximum of 24 months. The end of study (EoS) visit will be scheduled 4 weeks after the last dose has been injected and will be followed by a 52-week follow-up.

NCT ID: NCT05610813 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Non-specific Low Back Pain

Comparison of VER-01 to Opioids in Patients With Chronic Non-specific Low Back Pain

ELEVATE
Start date: June 8, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Randomized, open-label, parallel-group phase III trial to prove an additional benefit of the full-spectrum cannabis extract VER-01 over opioids in patients with chronic non-specific low back pain for whom drug treatment is indicated and previous optimized treatments with non-opioid analgesics have not led to sufficient pain relief or were unsuitable due to contraindications or intolerance.

NCT ID: NCT05605782 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Multiple Sclerosis, Relapsing-Remitting

A Post-Authorization, Long-term Study of Ozanimod Real-world Safety

ORION
Start date: June 30, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to determine the rates of adverse events of interest (AEIs) in a real-world population of participants with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) receiving Ozanimod, sphingosine-1 phosphate (S1P) receptor modulator, compared to the rates of these events in two population of participants: - Participants not exposed to ozanimod with RRMS who have received treatment with other S1P-receptor modulators disease modifying treatments (DMTs) - Participants not exposed to ozanimod with RRMS who have received treatment with other non-S1P-receptor modulators disease modifying treatments (DMTs)

NCT ID: NCT05603065 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Tislelizumab With Chemotherapy or Radiation for Neoadjuvant Therapy of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma (TINES)

TINES
Start date: October 10, 2022
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), one of the most common subtypes of esophageal cancer, has a poor prognosis and low 5-year overall survival. At present, the treatment of ESCC includes chemotherapy, immunity, radiotherapy, surgery and other methods, and in recent years, the treatment regimen of immune combined chemotherapy has begun to show results in the treatment of esophageal cancer. Tislelizumab has demonstrated good efficacy in advanced esophageal cancer and in the second- and third-line treatment. At present, neoadjuvant immunization is carried out less, and neoadjuvant immunization plus chemoradiotherapy has been achieved With a pCR rate of 55.6 and AEs of grade III and above 65%, and studies have shown that radiotherapy has immunosensitizing and coordinating effects, whether immunotherapy combined with radiotherapy has a better efficacy is worth further investigation. This review intends to conduct a randomized, open-label, uncontrolled study of tislelizumab in combination with chemotherapy or radiation therapy for neoadjuvant therapy for resectable locally advanced thoracic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma with a view to providing a new option for resectable locally advanced ESCC.

NCT ID: NCT05590585 Active, not recruiting - Atopic Eczema Clinical Trials

Dupilumab in Adolescent and Adult Skin of Color Participants: Open-label Moderate-to-severe Eczema Trial

DISCOVER
Start date: January 11, 2023
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The study is focused on skin of color participants who have moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis. Atopic dermatitis, also referred to as eczema, is a condition that causes the skin to become itchy, dry, and cracked. From the previous studies on the study drug, it is seen that the study drug has an acceptable safety and effectiveness in participants with atopic dermatitis. The aim of this study is to get additional information on the safety and effectiveness of the study drug, particularly the information on aspects of atopic dermatitis in skin of color participants. The study is looking at several other research questions, including: - What side effects may happen from taking the study drug - How much study drug is in your blood at different times - How much the study drug improves quality of life and mental health
