NCT ID: NCT01757197 Terminated - Clinical trials for Glucocorticosteroid Refractory Acute GVHD

Phase II Study of Tocilizumab for Patients With Glucocorticoid-refractory Acute GVHD After Allogeneic Hematopoetic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT)

Start date: November 7, 2013
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine if Tocilizumab is a safe and effective treatment for steroid-refractory acute graft versus host disease.

NCT ID: NCT01757067 Terminated - Clinical trials for Congestive Heart Failure

Early Elimination of Premature Ventricular Contractions in Heart Failure

EVAC-HF
Start date: January 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Premature ventricular contractions (PVC) are a very common irregular heart beat (arrhythmias) even in patients without heart disease. Frequent PVCs are thought to occur in about 1-4% of the general population. Many patients with PVCs complain about skipping of their heart (palpitations), shortness of breath and feeling tired. In some patients PVCs may also result in weakening of the heart muscle (heart failure), which might be reversible with suppression of the PVCs.

NCT ID: NCT01756924 Terminated - Clinical trials for Prosthetic Joint Infections of Hip

Safety and Efficacy of CEM-102 With Rifampin Compared to Standard Therapy in Patients With Prosthetic Joint Infections or Spacer Infection

Start date: December 2012
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

To determine if oral antibiotic treatment with CEM-102 and Rifampin is as effective and safe as the standard of care antibiotic therapy for the treatment of hip and knee prosthetic joint or spacer infections

NCT ID: NCT01756729 Terminated - Clinical trials for Recurrent Glioblastoma Multiforme

Post-approval Study of NovoTTF-100A in Recurrent GBM Patients

Start date: December 2012
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This is a non-randomized, concurrent control study, designed to confirm that the efficacy of the NovoTTF-100A System in patients with recurrent GBM treated in a real life settings following approval is comparable to that of BSC chemotherapy patients. The device is a portable, battery operated device that was approved for the treatment of adult patients (22 years of age or older) with histologically-confirmed glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), following histologically- or radiologically-confirmed recurrence in the supra-tentorial region of the brain after receiving chemotherapy. The device is intended to be used as a monotherapy, and is intended as an alternative to standard medical therapy for GBM after surgical and radiation options have been exhausted.

NCT ID: NCT01756690 Terminated - Clinical trials for Chronic Liver Disease

Predicting Lung Injury From Transfusion in Patients With Liver Disease

Start date: October 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

A certain molecule floating in the blood may represent a risk of lung injury after a transfusion. We are determining whether detection of this molecule on a simple blood clotting test will predict the development of lung injury due to transfusion in bleeding patients with chronic liver disease.

NCT ID: NCT01755871 Terminated - Clinical trials for Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis

Long-term Effect of Fingolimod on Circulating Immunocompetent Mononuclear Cells in Patients With Multiple Sclerosis

BiobankII
Start date: January 2013
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to explore immunomodulatory and immunosuppressive mechanisms of action of fingolimod in patients with Relapsing remitting multiple Sclerosis to collect data on biomarkers after initiation of fingolimod treatment.

NCT ID: NCT01754519 Terminated - Clinical trials for Stage IIIA Breast Cancer

Radiation Therapy in Treating Post-Menopausal Women With Early Stage Breast Cancer Undergoing Surgery

Start date: May 2013
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial studies how well radiation therapy works in treating post-menopausal women with early stage breast cancer undergoing surgery. Radiation therapy uses high energy x rays to kill tumor cells. This may be an effective treatment for breast cancer.

NCT ID: NCT01752023 Terminated - Clinical trials for Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Metastatic

A Randomized Phase II Study of SUBATM-itraconazole in Patients With Untreated Squamous NSCLC.

NA_00067809
Start date: March 2013
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Response rates. Changes in tumor blood flow.

NCT ID: NCT01751633 Terminated - Clinical trials for Single Level Stable Thoracolumbar Fracture Type AO A3

Spine FA3 - a Prospective, International, Multicenter Cohort Study on Treatment of of AO A3 Thoracolumbar Fractures

FA3
Start date: January 2013
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Thoracolumbar fractures are the most common spinal fractures with an average annual incidence between 18 and 30 per 100'000 inhabitants. The majority of these fractures are AO type A3 ("burst fractures"). Although patients with burst fractures report a reduced quality of life and chronic pain, there is no clear evidence whether surgical or conservative treatment offer better functional and back-pain related outcomes. The indications for the selection of an ideal treatment for these fractures without neurological deficits remain controversial. The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether patients with thoracolumbar fractures without neurological deficit being surgically treated show faster recovery and better improvement of function than patients being conservatively treated.

NCT ID: NCT01751425 Terminated - Clinical trials for Minimal Residual Disease

Ruxolitinib in Treating Participants With Chronic Myeloid Leukemia With Minimal Residual Disease While on Therapy With Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors

Start date: July 24, 2013
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase I/II trial studies the side effects and best dose of ruxolitinib and to see how well it works in participants with chronic myeloid leukemia with minimal residual disease while on therapy with tyrosine kinase inhibitors. Ruxolitinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
