Filter by:The Lumerah System, developed and manufactured by Raydiant Oximetry, Inc., is a non-invasive fetal pulse oximeter that measures fetal arterial oxygen saturation using safe, non-invasive, transabdominal near-infrared spectroscopy. The Lumerah System is intended as an adjunct to cardiotocography. In this study, women in labor will also be simultaneously monitored with a re-engineered version of the previously approved transvaginal oximeter sensor connected to a Nellcor N-400 fetal oximetry monitor for the purposes of device development. The data obtained from the transabdominal sensor and the transvaginal sensor will be used for research purposes only and will not be used to guide or alter patient management.

These conditions are frequently caused by epithelium edema and anesthesia-related problems. Because it could reveal tracheal and laryngeal issues, ultrasound is an essential method for establishing the proper endotracheal tube size and minimizing difficulties. This research focuses on the use of ultrasonography to predict and understand pediatric postoperative airway complications.

Spinal pain is frequently accompanied by other chronic conditions (multimorbidity) and the predicted rise in multimorbidity prevalence emphasizes the need for studies to understand its impact on patients with chronic pain conditions. Therefore the aims of the two studies are to: Work package 1 - Determine prevalence of multimorbidity among patients with spinal pain referred to hospital outpatient clinics. Examine associations with relevant health-related factors and cover the significance of multimorbidity in the diagnostic process, referral patterns and healthcare utilization. Work package 2: Examine the association between treatment burden arising from multimorbidity and patient prognosis in structured rehabilitation. Across both work packages data will be derived from individuals initially referred to the Department of Rheumatology at Aalborg University Hospital (AaUH) or the Medical Spine Clinic in Silkeborg (MSCS).
This is an open-label, randomized, multicenter study of FPI-2265 (225Ac-PSMA-I&T). The dose optimization Phase 2 part will be investigating the safety, tolerability, and anti-tumor activity of novel dosing regimens of FPI-2265 in participants with PSMA-positive mCRPC who have been previously treated with 177Lu-PSMA-617 or another 177Lu-PSMA radioligand therapy (RLT).

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), characterized by non-reversible airflow obstruction, contributes to high mortality and morbidity rates worldwide, including Norway. Individuals with COPD experience symptoms and complications that impede daily activities and diminish their quality of life. COPD places a growing burden on healthcare systems presently and in the future. Interventions to empower individuals to self-manage their health effectively are needed to help the challenges of living with COPD, and work towards a sustainable healthcare system. As part of the broader healthcare policy agenda, this project aligns with the increasing emphasis on digital homebased primary healthcare. The intervention in this study will combine digital homebased care and guided self-determination follow-ups (GSD) within a general practice setting. This project consists of 1) explore the feasibility of a COPD specific GSD counselling program delivered within a digital platform in primary care, 2) explore patients' and nurses' experiences applying the program, 3) examine the treatment fidelity of the intervention amongst healthcare professionals. This project is a pilot cluster-randomized controlled trial (RCT), including individuals diagnosed with COPD, conducted in primary healthcare settings, and assessment of feasibility and uncertainties before conducting a later full-scale cluster-RCT. The intervention draws upon the Medical Research Council's revised guidelines for developing complex intervention studies, focusing on the initial phases of intervention development and pilot testing. Primary care clinics are randomly assigned into either an intervention- or a control group. The intervention consists of the GSD counselling program with follow-up within a digital platform. The control group provide regular care. The project will include both qualitative (individual semi-structured interviews), and quantitative data (questionnaires and clinical data). In conclusion, this project explores an innovative intervention offering personalized strategies for COPD management in primary care clinic, by containing a digitalized homebased care program and follow-ups. The study aims to improve the daily living for people with COPD, while contributing to the future sustainability of healthcare systems.
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if immune microenvironment modification could improve the effect of chemoradiotherapy for patients with local advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Does immune microenvironment could be modified by medium dose of three drugs (paclitaxel, cisplatin, 5-FU), PD1 checkpoint inhibitor, probiotics, and thymosin α1? 2. Does induction and consolidation of PD1 checkpoint inhibitor improve the effect of chemoradiotherapy for patients with esophageal cancer? This is a single arm study. Participants will: 1. Take one cycle of induction chemotherapy (paclitaxel, cisplatin, 5-FU) and immunotherapy (Sintilimab), two cycle of concurrent chemoradiotherapy, one cycle of consolidation chemo-immunotherapy, and then 1 year of immunotherapy. 2. Take probiotics (Clostridium Butyricum) for 1 year and thymosin alpha-1 daily during radiotherapy.
