NCT ID: NCT04508322 Active, not recruiting - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

Treatment of Class II Malocclusion With Excessive Overjet

Start date: December 5, 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Class II malocclusion with excessive overjet is one of the most common malocclusions among children and adolescents. The overall goal of the project is to analyze orthodontic treatment of Class II malocclusion with excessive overjet when the treatment is started in different ages and treated with removable and/or fixed appliance. Treatment initiated before the age of eleven is performed with a removable functional appliance, Headgear Activator (HGA). Treatment starting in early adolescence is performed with fixed orthodontic appliance (FA). The hypotheses are: - Treatment with HGA at the age of nine or eleven is effective. No spontaneous correction of the malocclusion is expected in the untreated control group. - Patient experience, treatment effect and cost-effectiveness are equivalent whether the treatment with HGA is initiated at the age of nine or eleven. - Treatment results, patient experience and treatment- and cost-effectiveness are equivalent whether treatment is initiated early with HGA or initiated in early adolescence with FA. - The treatment of Class II malocclusion with excessive overjet renders long-term treatment stability and patient satisfaction.

NCT ID: NCT04506580 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Osteoarthritis, Knee Cutaneous Suture, Dermabond, Subcuticular Suture

Comparison of Postoperative Wound Between Dermabond Prineo(2-octyl Cyanoacrylate Adhesive and Polyester Mesh) and Subcuticular Suture in Simultaneous Total Knee Arthroplasty

Start date: March 6, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to compare the clinical results of postoperative wound between Dermabond PRINEOâ„¢(2-octyl Cyanoacrylate adhesive and polyester mesh) and subcuticular suture in simultaneous total knee arthroplasty There is previous studies over whether or not to use skin adhesive material is superior or inferior to subcuticular suture This study prospectively randomized patients receiving bilateral total knee arthroplasty(TKA). Patients preference and clinical results was investigated in both knee of same patients who received skin adhesive or subcuticular suture in each knee.

NCT ID: NCT04506554 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Muscle-Invasive Bladder Carcinoma

A Study of Risk Enabled Therapy After Neoadjuvant Immunochemotherapy for Bladder Cancer

Start date: December 1, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Neoadjuvant accelerated methotrexate/vinblastine/adriamycin/cisplatin (AMVAC) in combination with nivolumab is under evaluation for the treatment of muscle invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). Patients with pre-specified tumor mutations and complete clinical response with neoadjuvant therapy will preserve their bladders and go on active surveillance.

NCT ID: NCT04506138 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Camrelizumab in Combination With Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy for Resectable Thoracic Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Start date: August 11, 2020
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of Camrelizumab with neoadjuvant chemotherapy for resectable thoracic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma

NCT ID: NCT04505826 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for HER2-negative Breast Cancer

A Dose Escalation/Expansion Study of Oral OP-1250 in Subjects With Advanced and/or Metastatic HR+, HER2- Breast Cancer

Start date: August 13, 2020
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This clinical trial is a Phase I dose escalation and dose expansion and Phase II monotherapy open-label, first-in-human, multicenter study of OP-1250 in adult subjects with advanced and/or metastatic hormone receptor (HR)-positive, her2-negative breast cancer.

NCT ID: NCT04505553 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Pancreatic Carcinoma

Oral Cryotherapy Plus Acupressure and Acupuncture Versus Oral Cryotherapy for Decreasing Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy From Oxaliplatin-Based Chemotherapy in Patients With Gastrointestinal Cancer

Start date: June 1, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial investigates how well oral cryotherapy plus acupressure and acupuncture compared with oral cryotherapy alone work in decreasing chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy in patients with gastrointestinal cancer who are receiving oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy. Acupressure is the application of pressure or localized massage to specific sites on the body to control symptoms such as pain or nausea. Acupuncture is the technique of inserting thin needles through the skin at specific points on the body to control pain and other symptoms. Cryotherapy uses cold temperature such as oral ice chips to prevent abnormally increased pain sensation. Giving oral cryotherapy with acupressure and acupuncture may work better in decreasing chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy from oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy in patients with gastrointestinal cancer compared to oral cryotherapy alone.

NCT ID: NCT04504669 Active, not recruiting - Melanoma Clinical Trials

NCT ID: NCT04504630 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Traumatic Brain Injury

Noninvasive Brain Stimulation on Memory in Individuals With Mild Cognitive Impairment and History of Brain Injury

Start date: December 5, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study will examine the efficacy of high definition transcranial direct current stimulation (HD-tDCS) and its influence on episodic memory in patients with amnestic mild cognitive impairment and a history of Traumatic brain injury. Ten sessions of HD-tDCS to the dorsal anterior cingulate region is expected to result in improvements in episodic memory measures immediately following the last session and at a 3-month follow-up.

NCT ID: NCT04504266 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Complication of Surgical Procedure

Perioperative Optimization With Enhanced Recovery

POWER
Start date: August 14, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized controlled trial examining the effect of a motivational interview and perioperative mobile-app based nutrition and exercise intervention on surgical outcomes. The hypothesis is that such an intervention will improve surgical outcomes. Patients who are planned to undergo major elective abdominal surgery will be randomized to standard care or the nutrition/exercise intervention. This intervention consists of a mobile-app based coaching program to encourage patients to exercise and adopt a Mediterranean diet in the 3+ weeks prior to surgery.
