This is a Phase 0/1 open-label, non-randomized, biomarker and pharmacodynamic study in patients with advanced B-cell lymphoid malignancies, including B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL), acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL), multiple myeloma (MM), Waldenström's macroglobulinemia (WM), mantle cell lymphoma, follicular lymphoma, or diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) who have failed at least one prior therapy and for whom no standard curative therapy exists. Patients with advanced stage disease are those whose disease is resistant or refractory to standard chemotherapy or biological therapies.

Potential Use of Indocyanine Green as a Fluorescent Agent for Definition of Surgical Margins in Cancer

The surgeon may remove a very small amount of additional tissue compared to what would be removed if you were not enrolled in the study. This tissue may prove to contain tumor or it may contain normal tissue. The surgical cavity will be examined by a special laser pen after the tumor is removed, and if areas of fluorescence are seen, that may indicate tumor cells where the ICG dye collected are still remaining and the surgeon would then remove those. After the tumor and the tissue around it are removed and sent to the laboratory, the tissue may be examined using that same laser pen to see where the cancer cells are and compare that to what the laboratory sees when it looks at the tumor and tissue with a microscope. It is hoped that what the dye shows and what is seen with the microscope will be alike.

Goal Directed Therapy (GDT) in Cytoreductive Surgery (CRS) and Hyperthermic Intra Peritoneal Chemotherapy (Hipec)

The aim of the study is to assess whether in cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) the use of a protocol of intravenous fluid therapy combined with goal directed fluid therapy (GDT) is associated with a significant change in morbidity, length of hospital stay and mortality compared to a standard fluid therapy. Patients undergoing CRS and hipec are randomly divided into two treatment groups. The GDT group receive fluid intravenous therapy according to a specific treatment protocol guided by monitored hemodynamic parameters assessed using the arterial pressure signal monitoring to assess stroke volume and cardiac output via an automated pulse contour analysis (Flotrac/Vigileo®); the control group receive the standard fluid therapy (crystalloid and colloid). Fluid therapy regimen is free in the control group and targeted in the GDT group. In both groups, the investigators evaluate the incidence of major abdominal and systemic complications, the total duration of hospital stay, mortality, the total amount of fluids administered, their breakdown (crystalloid/colloid) and the total number of colloid boluses administered.

Expanded Access to T-cell Depleted Haplo-Identical Stem Cells for Patients Receiving Haplo-Identical and Unrelated Cord Blood Transplants

The objective of this study is to make T-cell depleted stem cells from a family member who is a half match (haplo-identical) available on an expanded access basis to patients receiving one or two unrelated cord blood transplants who are at a higher risk of not engrafting in a safe amount of time. The purpose of the related stem cells is the give the bone marrow a "jump start" towards recovery. Ultimately, the cord blood cells will grow and permanently rescue the bone marrow.

Pre-Operative Or Peri-Operative Dox Regimen In Patients With Locally Advanced Resectable Gastric Cancer

Study design: Multicenter, randomized, open label phase II study Arm A: DOX 4 cycles - Surgery - Follow-up Arm B: DOX 2 cycles - Surgery - DOX 2 cycles - Follow-up Population: Male or female, 18-75 years of age, with a diagnosis of histologically confirmed, potentially resectable adenocarcinoma of the stomach. Sample Size: Planned sample size is 90 patients, 45 patients for each arm (p0=50%, p1=80%, alpha=0.05 (two sides), beta=0.2) Treatment Plan: Treatment will be administered for 4 and 2 cycles before surgery in arm A and B, respectively, and in arm B for a further 2 cycles after surgery unless progression or unacceptable toxicity occurs, or a patient refuses treatment. In such cases patients will go off treatment. 3-6 weeks after the end of the fourth (arm A) or second (arm B) preoperative cycle, patients will undergo surgery. After surgery 3-6 weeks from surgery patients in arm B will receive 2 more cycles. DOX: Docetaxel 35 mg/m2 day 1 and 8 Oxaliplatin 80 mg/m2 day 1 Capecitabine 750 mg/m2 x 2 daily for 2 weeks Cycles repeated every 3 weeks Evaluation criteria: Tumor assessment will be performed according to the RECIST criteria (version 1.1). Duration of Study: Overall study duration: 07/2010- 03/2017 Planned study duration per patient: 5 years
