Filter by:This clinical trial investigates the challenges, behavioral patterns, and preferences towards participation in clinical trials in minority patient populations in order to develop a personalized clinical trial educational platform to increase participation in clinical trials among underserved cancer patients. Learning more about patients' understanding of clinical trials may help identify barriers that limit patient's participation. Information gathered from this trial will be used to develop educational materials that may aid minority patients in overcoming barriers to participating in clinical trials. A personalized clinical trial educational platform may help increase participation in clinical trials among minority populations.
The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a multifactorial education and support program for the prevention of cancer-related cachexia syndrome, for patients and their family caregivers during anti-cancer treatment.
Subepithelial lesions (SEL) are incidentally observed in the stomach of about 0.3% of middle-aged men and women; half of these are neoplastic. The incidence of subepithelial tumors (SET) of gastrointestinal (GI) origin has risen twofold to fivefold within the past 30 years. The etiology of most SMTs cannot easily be determined by endoscopy. So, we aim to estimate the prevalence and types of sub-epithelial lesions among patients undergoing EGDs in Egypt.
This study will evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics, and effect of RC108-ADC for injeciton in subjects with c-Met positive advanced malignant solid tumors.
AB-106 will be administered once a day. Each treatment cycle is defined as 21 days of continuous medication. Dosing will continue until any of the following conditions are met: disease progression, intolerable drug-related adverse events, researchers recommend discontinuation of treatment, withdrawal of informed consent, pregnancy during the study, use of other anti-tumor therapy, loss of follow-up, death and other causes, whichever occurs first. The study includes a screening period, treatment period, safety follow-up and long-term follow-up.
Dose-escalation study will be conducted in patients with locally advanced/metastatic solid tumors who have failed standard treatment, or cannot tolerate standard treatment, or have no recommended standard treatment, or do not apply standard treatment, to evaluate the safety, PK, tolerability and effectiveness of VC004. According to the efficacy, safety and PK of dose-escalation study , the investigator and the sponsor jointly determine the dose for dose extension, and evaluate the anti-tumor effect of VC004 on NTRK fusion-positive subjects, and provide more information for RP2D. According to the tolerability and pharmacokinetic results of dose-escalation study , an appropriate dose or MTD will be selected, namely RP2D, to further assess anti-tumor efficacy and safety in patients with NTRK fusion-positive locally advanced/metastatic solid tumors . ORR will be chosen as the main efficacy indicator to evaluate the anti-tumor efficacy and safety of VC004 .
This study investigates how individuals feel about a dietary mobile application. Information collected from focus groups and interviews may help doctors and mobile application developers to determine preferences and participant feedback about the appeal and usefulness of a mobile application.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate two study medicines (encorafenib plus cetuximab) taken alone or together with standard chemotherapy for the potential treatment of colorectal cancer that: - has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic); - has a certain type of abnormal gene called "BRAF"; and - has not received prior treatment. Participants in this study will receive one of the following study treatments: - Encorafenib plus cetuximab: These participants will receive encorafenib by mouth at home every day and cetuximab once every two weeks by intravenous (IV) infusion (an injection into the vein) at the study clinic. - Encorafenib plus cetuximab with chemotherapy: These participants will receive encorafenib and cetuximab in the way described in the bullet above. Additionally, they will receive standard chemotherapy by IV infusion and oral treatment at home. - Chemotherapy alone: These participants will receive chemotherapy, the standard treatment for this condition, by IV infusion at the study clinics and oral treatment at home. This study is currently enrolling participants who will receive either encorafenib plus cetuximab with chemotherapy or chemotherapy alone. The study team will monitor how each participant responds to the study treatment for up to about 3 years.
In phase Ia study, the safety and tolerability of SI-B003 in patients with recurrent or metastatic solid tumors will be investigated to determine the dose-limiting toxicity (DLT), maximum tolerated dose (MTD) or maximum administered dose (MAD) for MTD is not reached of SI-B003. In the phase Ib study, the safety and tolerability of SI-B003 in specific tumors will be further investigated by selecting multiple doses based on the results of phase Ia study or/and the fixed-dose administration method with the closest exposure level, and recommended phase II dose (RP2D) for phase II clinical studies will be determined.
To support advanced cancer patients, for whom standard therapy is no longer available, and their oncologists in therapy decisions, the investigators aim to develop a decision-making aid (DA) in a multi-phased bicentric study. The DA aims to help patients to understand better risks and benefits of available treatment options including the options of standard palliative care, off-label drug use within an individual treatment plan and involvement in early clinical trials.
