Filter by:This study is a prospective, interventional, open-label, multi-center early access program for the use of Ra-223 Cl2 in HRPC/CRPC (Hormone refractory prostate cancer / Castrate resistant prostate cancer) patients diagnosed with bone metastasis and to collect additional short and long term safety data on the product.
Cancer surveillance has a significant cost and generate anxiety for the patient. It is important to avoid exams that will not modify health support or whose results wont allow to decide.
This study aims to assess anxiety/depression and life quality of patients included in clinical trials versus patients treated in a standard way.
The objective of this study will be to investigate the safety and tolerability of AZD6244 given monotherapy or in combination with docetaxel as 2nd line therapy in Japanese patients with Advanced Solid Malignancies or Locally Advanced or Metastatic Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer. In addition, the pharmacokinetic profile of AZD6244 will be investigated. Following the combination regimen dose escalation phase (Part A) of the study additional patients may be enrolled to a dose expansion phase (Part B) to refine further the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and biological activity of the combination in this patient population.
Vorinostat is a potent and well tolerated HDAC inhibitor. It has been reported to enhance radiosensitivity of cancer cells. We hypothesize that the addition of vorinostat to WBRT may increase therapeutic efficacy for patients with brain metastases.
This study is being done to help researchers understand more about prostate cancer that has spread to the bones by using the newest magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques and to better understand the effect of an experimental drug called XL184 (or cabozantinib) on bone disease. The other purposes of the study are to better understand the effect of XL184 on prostate cancer progression, bone pain, and on any cancer cells that patients may have circulating within the blood (called circulating tumor cells)
It is the study hypothesis that hypo-fractionated image-guided radiosurgery significantly improves pain relief compared to historic data of conventionally fractionated radiotherapy. Primary endpoint is pain response 3 months after radiosurgery, which is defined as pain reduction of ≥2 points at the treated vertebral site on the 0 to 10 Visual Analogue Scale. 60 patients will be included into this II trial.
This randomized phase I trial studies the side effects of vaccine therapy in preventing cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection in patients with hematological malignancies undergoing donor stem cell transplant. Vaccines made from a tetanus-CMV peptide or antigen may help the body build an effective immune response and prevent or delay the recurrence of CMV infection in patients undergoing donor stem cell transplant for hematological malignancies.
The purpose of this trial is to study health related quality of life (HQoL)after resection of colorectal liver metastases combined with perioperative chemotherapy. The investigators want to study if an aggressive, life prolonging and multimodal treatment can be defended from a quality of life perspective.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the Philips Sonalleve Magnetic Resonance Imaging-guided High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (MR-HIFU) device for treating painful bone metastases.
