This is a pharmacokinetic (PK) study designed to investigate a combination product containing sumatriptan succinate and naproxen sodium administered at 3 single doses (10mg sumatriptan/60mg naproxen sodium, 30mg sumatriptan/180mg naproxen sodium, 85mg sumatriptan/500mg naproxen sodium) in adolescent migraine patients. The same doses will be also administered to a group of healthy volunteer (HV) adult subjects and the PK parameters will be compared between these two groups and between doses.

Identification of Inflammatory Markers in Migraine Patients

Migraine is prevalent in 10-12% of the population. It involves the development of a cranial perivascular neurogenic inflammation. Recent information suggests that migraine might be a risk factor to stroke. The possible mechanisms that might relate migraine and stroke are: 1. Migraineous infarction 2. A primary endothelial disorder. 3. Genetic relation 4. An ongoing inflammatory process. C reactive protein (CRP) is a sensitive marker for an inflammatory process.The data on the relation of migraine to inflammation is limited. The aim of the current study is to assess inflammatory factors as possible markers for migraine.

Up to 120 migraineurs will be enrolled. Approximately 60 subjects having a headache history of migraine without aura will complete each of the two treatment arms to evaluate NXN-188 600 mg or placebo.

Hypothesis: Greater occipital nerve block reduces the frequency of days with moderate or severe headache in patients with episodic or chronic migraine.
