NCT ID: NCT05380999 Not yet recruiting - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

The Red Blood Cells Based Blood Test for Lung Cancer EARLY Detection

Start date: May 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study plan to enroll 852 patients with pulmonary nodules smaller than 3 cm in diameter, whose DNA and RNA will be extracted from mature red blood cells isolated from peripheral blood. The DNA 5-methylcytosine(5-mC) and RNA 2'-O-methylation information will be acquired by NGS and Nm Judge Universally sequencing (NJU-Seq), which will be used to establish models to distinguish patients with benign and malignant nodule in the training group and further evaluated in the validation group. The pathological results will be acquired after surgery or biopsy as standard in the study.

NCT ID: NCT04955457 Completed - Stress Clinical Trials

BDNF Promoter Methylation: Effects on Cognition, Stress and Anxiety and Depression Symptom in Healthy Women.

BDNFm
Start date: September 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to explore the association between BDNF methylation and neurocognitive performance, perceived stress, and well-being in healthy women.

NCT ID: NCT03737539 Recruiting - Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trials

Dynamic Monitoring of ctDNA Methylation to Predict Relapse in Colorectal Cancer After Radical Resection (POSTCA)

Start date: September 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

This is a prospective, multicenter, observational, single-blinded controlled study. Dynamic monitoring of patients with resectable colorectal cancer was performed using the previously established colorectal tumor-specific plasma ctDNA methylation markers (Multigene methylation detection). Dynamic monitoring of plasma ctDNA methylation before and after treatment and at regular follow-up in patients with colorectal cancer after radical resection of tumor, to explore the predictive effect of postoperative plasma ctDNA methylation on postoperative recurrence and whether dynamic monitoring of postoperative ctDNA methylation could be earlier than imaging examination to indicate tumor recurrence.

NCT ID: NCT03272152 Recruiting - Crohn Disease Clinical Trials

Comprehensive DNA Methylation Profiling in Crohn's Disease

Start date: January 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Previous studies have indicated that abnormal DNA methylation frequently occurs in the mucosa in Crohn's disease. Comprehensive DNA methylation profiling of the inflamed and non-inflamed ileal mucosa of patients with Crohn's disease was performed. Genome-wide DNA methylation was determined using the Illumina HumanMethylation 850k BeadChip.

NCT ID: NCT01517139 Completed - Physical Activity Clinical Trials

Diet and Nutrition Pilot Study for Chinese Adolescents and Their Mothers

Start date: March 1, 2012
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Background: - Researchers want to collect information on diet, physical activity, and sun exposure in children and young adults. The data can provide information on the effect these factors might have on the development of cancer and other diseases. Information collected only from adults does not accurately measure these factors. To collect more accurate information, both mothers and children will provide information. Study participants will be from Hebei province in northeastern China and Jiangsu province in eastern China. Objectives: - To collect and study diet, activity, and sun exposure data from Chinese adolescents and their mothers. Eligibility: - Adolescents between 15 and 17 years of age from Hebei and Jiangsu provinces in China. - Mothers of the study adolescents. Design: - Participants will answer questions about their diet, physical activity, and time in the sun. - Participants will wear a pedometer to measure activity for 7 days. They will also wear a badge to measure sun exposure for 3 days. - Participants will record their activities and food and drinks consumed for 3 days. Urine samples will be collected for a full day. - Participants will have a grip strength test. On the last day of the study, they will provide blood, saliva, and toenail samples. - A smaller separate group of adolescents will provide saliva samples only and complete a food questionnaire.
