Bosutinib in Combination With Pemetrexed in Patients With Selected Metastatic Solid Tumors

This study will determine the maximum-tolerated dose (MTD) for oral bosutinib when used in combination with pemetrexed. The MTD is the highest dose of bosutinib with pemetrexed that can be given without causing severe side effects. This study will also test the safety of this combination and see what effects (good or bad) it has on participants and their cancer.

Pembrolizumab After Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Pleural Malignant Mesothelioma

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best way to give pembrolizumab after radiation therapy in treating patients with pleural malignant mesothelioma. Radiation therapy uses high energy radiation to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving pembrolizumab after radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells.

Breathing movements, called chest wall motion, are very complex. The investigators are studying how movement of the abdomen, ribs and diaphragm contribute to breathing and how this differs with different diseases in the chest. Breathing movements may help with diagnosis, assessment of severity or assessing the impact of treatments for chest conditions. The investigators are following people who have a chest disease, measuring their chest wall motion and comparing it to their diagnosis and and how their treatment works. Chest wall motion can be measured in different ways at rest and whilst exercising. Small stickers on the chest can be used to reflect infra red light or visible squares of light can be shone onto the chest without using stickers.

Influence of Psychosocial Distress and Lifetime Trauma Exposure on Traumatic Stress Among Oncology Patients on Clinical Trials

Background: A cancer diagnosis is a threat to life and bodily integrity. This can cause people with cancer to experience traumatic stress. Researchers want to better understand the types of stress and emotional reactions people with cancer experience. They also want to know if the stress people with cancer have had during their life affects their stress related to cancer. Objective: To see if lifetime traumas, along with psychosocial distress, can predict traumatic stress symptoms in people with cancer. Eligibility: People ages 18 and older who have had or are currently getting care from the NIH Clinical Center for one of these cancers: Leukemia Lymphoma Mesothelioma Prostate cancer Design: Participants will be screened with name, date of birth, and diagnosis. Participants will allow access to their medical records. Participants will complete, online or in person, a demographic sheet and 3 questionnaires: The PTSD Checklist for DSM-5: This assesses traumatic stress symptoms and takes 5 10 minutes to complete. The Life Events Checklist for DSM-5: This assesses potentially traumatic life events and takes about 5 minutes to complete. The Brief Symptoms Inventory 18: This assesses psychosocial distress and takes about 4 minutes to complete....

Phase II MEDI4736 in Combination With Chemotherapy for First-Line Treatment of Unresectable Mesothelioma

Patients with pleural mesothelioma that can not be surgically removed will receive durvalumab, in combination with standard chemotherapy of pemetrexed and cisplatin as first-line treatment. Durvalumab is a type of drug called a monoclonal antibody (a type of protein). Laboratory tests show that it works by allowing the immune system to detect your cancer and reactivates the immune response. This may help to slow down the growth of cancer or may cause cancer cells to die. The purpose of this study is to see whether adding durvalumab to standard chemotherapy will improve overall survival (OS).

A Randomised Phase II Open-label Study With a Phase Ib Safety lead-in Cohort of ONCOS-102, an Immune-priming GM-CSF Coding Oncolytic Adenovirus, and Pemetrexed/Cisplatin in Patients With Unresectable Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma

The trial is an open-label, parallel group, multicentre trial that will recruit a total of 30 patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma. The trial will be conducted in 2 phases: a non-randomised safety phase and a randomised phase. The safety phase will consist of a lead-in cohort of 6 patients treated with ONCOS 102 and pemetrexed/cisplatin. The randomised phase will not commence until the DSMB has deemed the safety lead-in data appropriate for continuation. A total of 24 patients will be included in the randomised phase; 14 patients will be randomised to receive ONCOS 102 and pemetrexed/cisplatin, and 10 patients will receive pemetrexed/cisplatin alone. If cisplatin is seen to be too toxic after one or more cycles, the patient may change to carboplatin during the study. Furthermore, if treatment with cisplatin is deemed to be too toxic by the investigator due to age, presence of neurological toxicities or other relevant medical conditions, carboplatin can be administered from start of study. The trial's main objectives are determination of safety, immune activation, clinical response and the correlation between clinical outcome and the immunological data.
