NCT ID: NCT03982602 Completed - Clinical trials for Traumatic Brain Injury

Ketogenic Diet for Traumatic Brain Injury

KETI
Start date: July 4, 2019
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Traumatic Brain Injury is a major health concern in United States. There is a un-met need to develop new therapeutic options for faster neuron recovery without causing significant side effects. The role of ketones in neuronal recovery has been studied and has been found to be useful in decreasing size of contusion. The present study aims to study the safety and feasibility profile of ketogenic diet.

NCT ID: NCT03935854 Completed - Obesity Clinical Trials

Impact of a Ketogenic Diet on Metabolic and Psychiatric Health in Patients With Bipolar or Schizophrenia Illness

Start date: February 13, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To initiate a low-carbohydrate, high-fat (LCHF) or ketogenic dietary (KD) intervention among a cohort of outpatients with either schizophrenia or bipolar illness who also have metabolic abnormalities, overweight/obesity, and/or are currently taking psychotropic medications experiencing metabolic side effects.

NCT ID: NCT03691558 Completed - Physical Activity Clinical Trials

Effects of Ketogenic Diet on Triathlon's Performance

Start date: February 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study aimed to verify the effects of 5 weeks of ketogenic diet (KD) on some performance index in long distance triathletes

NCT ID: NCT03231514 Completed - Ketogenic Dieting Clinical Trials

Determining the Ergogenic Effects of Carb10™ Supplementation on Carbohydrate-Rich and Carbohydrate-Restricted Diets

Start date: January 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study will examine the performance and body composition effects of ketogenic vs carbohydrate-based diets, determine the carbohydrate tolerance ("carbohydrate threshold") for active individuals on a ketogenic diet, and then, reexamine the performance and body composition effects when the diets are modified with supplemental carbohydrate up to the newly defined "ketogenic threshold."

NCT ID: NCT03141008 Completed - Obesity Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Liver and Cardiometabolic Health Benefits on Low Carbohydrate Ketogenic Diet

Start date: September 15, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

To evaluate the impact of a Low Carbohydrate Ketogenic Diet (LCKD) weight loss program and compare to the standard of care program established for patients with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) on: (1) Liver fat and liver stiffness scores, (2) lipid profile and insulin sensitivity; and (3) depression scores and quality of life, and (4) Cardiometabolic measures such as cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) and transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE).

NCT ID: NCT02915211 Completed - Ketogenic Dieting Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Keyo in Children With Epilepsy

Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To evaluate the tolerance, acceptability and compliance of Keyo in 20 subjects aged 3 years and over, with intractable epilepsy or Glut-1 DS on a KD.
