NCT ID: NCT03307408 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Hepatocellular Carcinoma in Patients With a Cirrhosis Due to an Alcoholic or a Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

CHALNA
Start date: February 28, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Global prevalence of Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Diseases (NAFLD) ranges from 22% to 28%.The spectrum of these hepatic abnormalities extends from isolated steatosis to steatohepatitis (Non Alcoholic Steato-Hepatitis, NASH) and steatofibrosis leading to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. NAFLD is one of the main causes of cirrhosis and increases the risk of liver-related death and hepatocellular carcinoma (developed in patients with or without cirrhosis). Despite this major public health concern, apart from lifestyle changes, treatment of NAFLD is still elusive as there is lack of efficacious pharmacological treatment. Alcoholic liver diseases are also frequent in Western countries. Alcoholic liver diseases and NAFLD share common pathological lesions and molecular pathways. This is illustrated by the emerging role of abnormalities of the microbiota (dysbiosis) in these 2 diseases leading to the concept of " liver-gut axis ". Whereas the molecular mechanisms responsible for the progression from a "safety" state to NASH or to a severe alcoholic steato-hepatitis are still unclear, hepatic inflammation is a key factor involved in the progression of NAFLD and alcoholic liver disease. The hypothesis is that cellular and molecular abnormalities and gut dysbiosis could be present in patients with simple steatosis or with steato-hepatitis and could be responsible for the occurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma particularly without cirrhosis. The main objective is to compare cellular and inflammatory pathways in liver with and without hepatocellular carcinoma in patients with alcoholic or non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases.

NCT ID: NCT03292991 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

REgistry of Selective Internal Radiation Therapy in TaiwaN (RESIN)

Start date: June 9, 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

All study objectives will be assessed in HCC patients or colorectal cancer patients with secondary metastases in the liver, respectively.

NCT ID: NCT03273608 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Observation Study: Superselective Drug-Eluting Chemoembolization in Unresectable Intermediate and Advanced HCC Patients

Start date: September 14, 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The purpose of this multicenter registry is to gather the safety, efficacy and survival data in intermediate and advanced HCC patients treated drug-eluting microsphere in Taiwan in order to provide clinical evidence in HCC management to physicians in the region, and to support the application of deTACE in treating advanced HCC patients.

NCT ID: NCT03259867 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Combination of TATE and PD-1 Inhibitor in Liver Cancer

TATE-PD1
Start date: July 1, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a multi-center, open-label phase IIA study that investigates the preliminary efficacy of Trans-arterial Tirapazamine Embolization (TATE) treatment of liver cancer followed by a PD-1 checkpoint inhibitor (nivolumab). Patients with two types of cancers will be enrolled, advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC),and metastatic gastric cancer. All enrolled patients need to have liver lesions and have progressed on a prior immune checkpoint inhibitor.

NCT ID: NCT03208335 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Recombinant Human Endostatin(Rh-endostatin) Combine With Radiotherapy in the Treatment of Hepatocellular Carcinoma(HCC)

Start date: January 1, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is a high malignancy cancer which progress rapidly , and the rates of morbidity and mortality is very high in China. Radiotherapy as a effective treatment is commonly used in unresectable HCC patients. Preclinical models have shown that anti-angiogenesis medicine, such as rh-endostatin, can normalize the tumor vasculature to make it more efficient for oxygen delivery, which can enhance the radiosensitivity subsequently. This study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of rh-endostatin combined with radiotherapy in the treatment of HCC.

NCT ID: NCT03198975 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Preoperative Prediction of Microvascular Invasion in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Start date: June 23, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Microvascular invasion (MVI) has been well demonstrated as an unfavorable prognostic factor for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and patients with MVI have a high risk of tumor recurrence after curative hepatectomy. Currently, the diagnosis of MVI is determined on the postoperative histologic examination, which greatly limits its influence on preoperative decision making. Therefore, we constructed this prospective study to develop a machine learning-based model for preoperative prediction of MVI by extracting high-dimensional magnetic resonance (MR) image features.

NCT ID: NCT03198546 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

GPC3-CAR-T Cells for Immunotherapy of Cancer With GPC3 Expression

Start date: July 1, 2017
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The third/fourth generation of CAR-T cells that target GPC3 (GPC3-CART cell) and/or soluble TGFβ (GPC3/TGFβ-CART )have been constructed and their anti-HCC function has been verified by multiple in vitro and in vivo studies. Clinical studies will be performed to test the anti-cancer function by the GPC3/TGFβ-CAR-T cells in human HCC patients with GPC3 expression. In this phase I study, the safety, tolerance, and preliminary efficacy of the GPC3/TGFβ-CAR-T cell immunotherapy on human will firstly be tested.

The Impact on Recurrence Risk of Adjuvant Transarterial Chemoinfusion (TAI) for Patients With Hepatocellular Carcinoma And Microvascular Invasion (MVI) After Hepatectomy : A Random, Controlled, Stage III Clinical Trial.

Start date: July 1, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

To compare The Impact on Recurrence Risk of Adjuvant Transarterial Chemoinfusion (TAI) for Patients With Hepatocellular Carcinoma And Microvascular Invasion (MVI) After Hepatectomy.

NCT ID: NCT03175705 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Adoptive Transfer of Specific HCC Antigens CD8+ T Cells for Treating Patients With Relapsed/Advanced HCC

Start date: May 1, 2017
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study enrolls patients who have relapsed/advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC, BCLC stage C). The HCC tumor relapsed or metastasized through the body after standard treatment or the patients cannot receive standard treatment under current conditions. This research study uses specific HCC antigens CD8+ T cells, a new experimental treatment. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerance as well as the potential clinical efficacy of an adoptive transfer of CD8+ T cells, sorted with human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-peptide multimers and specific for Glypican (GPC)-3 /New York Esophageal Squamous-1 (NY-ESO-1) /alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) antigens and cultured in vitro, to patients suffering from relapsed/advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
