Filter by:Purpose: The aim of this study is to measure the effects of penile revascularization surgery performed in vascular origin erectile dysfunction (ED) on penile vascular hemodynamic and to determine the importance of vascular parameters in postoperative patient follow-up. Methods: A total of 35 participants who underwent penile revascularization surgery due to vascular ED were included in this study. In the preoperative period and at the 3rd postoperative month, penile color doppler ultrasonography (PCDU) was performed to evaluate cavernosal arteries, dorsal arteries, deep dorsal vein and inferior epigastric artery (IEA) separately. During this evaluation, peak systolic velocity (PSV), end diastolic velocity (EDV), and resistive index (RI) were measured. The International Index of Erectile Function questionnaire (IIEF) was applied to all patients in the preoperative period and at the 3rd postoperative month. The relationship between changes in (IIEF) questionnaire score and penile vascular hemodynamic changes in the postoperative period was evaluated.
It is a single-center, open-label, Phase I clinical study evaluating the safety and pharmacokinetics of a single oral TPN171H in elderly subjects.
The primary objective of this study was to assess the effect of rifampicin,a cytochrome P450 3A4 enzyme (CYP3A4) induction, on the pharmacokinetics (PK) of TPN171H in chinese healthy male subjects ,and assess the effect of itraconazole, cytochrome P450 3A4 enzyme (CYP3A4) induction on the PK of TPN171H in chinese healthy male subjects
Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Ningmitai capsule alone or in combination with sildenafil compared with sildenafil alone in the treatment of CP/CPPS with erectile dysfunction. Study Design: A multicenter, prospective, randomized and positive drug-controlled clinical study design was adopted. Interventions: ① Western medicine group (sildenafil): Sildenafil citrate, 25mg/capsule, once a night, one capsule each time, for 4 weeks. ② Chinese medicine group (Ningmitai capsule): Ningmitai capsule, 0.38 g/capsule, 3 times a day, 4 capsules each time, taken after meals for 4 weeks continuously. ③ Combination group (Ningmitai capsule + sildenafil): Ningmitai capsule, 0.38 g/capsule, 3 times a day, 4 capsules each time, taken after meals; Sildenafil citrate, 25mg/capsule, once a night, one capsule each time, was taken continuously for 4 weeks.
The gold standard diagnosis in patients admitted to the hospital with the complaint of erectile dysfunction is penile doppler ultrasonography. This procedure is an invasive procedure and can cause various complications. Therefore, in this study, we aimed to support and define the diagnosis of erectile dysfunction with some biomarkers that can be measured in blood samples. At this point, we performed penile doppler ultrasonography, which is the gold standard test, for all patients who applied with the complaint of erectile dysfunction, and compared the results of penile doppler and serum biomarkers in the patients.
The purpose of this study is primarily to evaluate the effects of simultaneous administration of Tunodafil Hydrochloride Tablets with alcohol on blood pressure, pulse rate and pharmacokinetics in healthy Chinese male participants.
Engaging patients through integration of patient-reported outcome measures in routine clinical care can improve the patient experience and provide a systematic way to collect adverse event (AE) data. Collecting these data on a large scale can inform new solutions to longstanding barriers to successful treatment such as medication non-adherence. This study evaluated whether implementing a patient-reported outcome data collection and AE surveillance tool would result in greater treatment continuation for patients receiving care on a telehealth platform. We evaluated how this data collection and surveillance tool - a short prompt for patients to provide information on treatment satisfaction and side effects - impacted the outcome of interest, treatment continuation. We tested two cycles in n=2,000 patients receiving care for erectile dysfunction on a telehealth platform using a randomized control experimental design and accounted for incidents where true randomization was not possible during implementation. The first cycle tested the tool alone, while the second cycle tested the tool in conjunction with a messaging template system that provided standardized side effect counseling.
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is defined as penile erection that is insufficient and unsustainable for a satisfactory sexual performance. The etiology of ED is multifactorial including chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus and coronary artery disease However, the main underlying cause is degenerative changes that result in endothelial dysfunction
A cohort study comparing the novel 'Sexual Minorities and Prostate Cancer Scale' (SMACS) to the gold standard questionnaires investigating erectile dysfunction (IIEF) and incontinence (ICIQLUTSqol and ICIQ-UI) following robotic assisted radical prostatectomy
After robotic prostatectomy, besides erectile function and achievement of oncological control, staying dry is also a very important desire expressed frequently by the patients. This has led to the concept of trifecta achievement after robotic prostatectomies. Hence, continence preserving prostatectomies are the order of the day today. Patient acceptance to surgery is low if the continence cannot be assured preoperatively. Many techniques have been promulgated in the last two decades. The investigators present a novel technique of maximal urethral length preservation during surgery as an effective method of continence preservation. The investigators hypothesize that maximal preservation of urethra would lead to improved and early continence after robotic prostatectomy. The investigators also hypothesize that urethral preservation spares penile length shortening. The investigators therefore propose to prospectively evaluate penile length shortening. While penile length change after radical prostatectomy has been studied in the past, the investigators like to assess the penile morphometric assessment following the novel technique of maximal urethral length preservation radical prostatectomy.
