Lifestyle Management App for Adults With Diabetes Type

This study will evaluate whether the 12-week health coaching mobile application (LIVEN) will succeed in enhancing lifestyle behaviors in adults with Type 2 Diabetes compared to typical treatment. The mobile application's viability will be assessed in 2 parts; the first part is testing easiness and friendliness of using Liven by the patient and health coach. The second part is evaluating the suitability of Liven education material for the patients and whether the coaching program results in enhancing lifestyle behaviors and blood sugar levels. the investigators hypothesize that the 12-week online lifestyle-coaching program will be viable, and a full-scale study can proceed.

The goal of this randomised trial is to evaluate the impact of using a digital platform called "TreC Diabete" embedded into a novel organizational asset for poorly controlled type 2 diabetes individuals in the Autonomous Province of Trento (PAT). The main question aims to answer whether individuals using the "TreC Diabete" platform will improve their haemoglobin glycated level (Hb1Ac) at 12-month post-randomisation. Participants will be asked to perform some tasks and to share their data with the healthcare staff members through the platform. Control group will receive standard care.

DBLG1 System With TERUMO MEDISAFE WITH Insulin Pump Trial

This study conducted in 90 adults living with type 1 diabetes is an interventional single-arm open-label before/after multicentric national study conducted as a clinical investigation according to the law EU 2017/745 art. 62. After a 14-day baseline period during which the patient will use a Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) and his current therapy (multiple daily injection or open-loop pump), the patient will start a 42-day treatment period during which he will use the DBLG1 System, a closed loop system (including a DBLG1 handset, a TERUMO MEDISAFE WITH insulin pump, in addition to his Dexcom G6 CGM). An optional 6-week extension period with treatment will be proposed to patients agreeing to pursue the use of the DBLG1 system. The main objective is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the DBLG1 System with a TERUMO MEDISAFE WITH insulin pump in closed-loop for 6 weeks in 90 adults with type 1 diabetes. Data related to their glycemia, complications, usability and quality of life will be collected. The study is completed when all patients have their "end of study" file completed in the electronic Case Report Form (eCRF).

- Prevalence of smoking in men and women ages 15 and over who currently smoke any tobacco product on a daily or non-daily basis Egypt smoking rate for 2018 was 21.40%, a 0.1% increase from 2016. - According to WHO reports, smoking is currently responsible for six million premature deaths every year, of which 600 000 individuals die from the effects of second-hand smoke. - Egypt is one of the 21 countries and territories of the International Diabetes Federation Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. 463 million people have diabetes in the world and 55 million people in the MENA Region; by 2045 this will rise to 108 million. - The most profound impact of smoking in diabetic patients is on insulin sensitivity, Cigarette smoking worsens insulin-resistance in patients with diabetes, as smoking decreases subcutaneous absorption of insulin, resulting in increased dosing requirements. When the action of insulin is impaired chronically in smokers, a dose response relationship can be seen between the number of cigarettes smoked and the degree of insulin resistance. Consequently, quitting smoking should improve glycemic control. - Therefore diabetic patients can get huge benefits from tobacco cessation as they give their bodies chance to decrease percentage of nicotine and increase percentage of insulin so decrease risk of getting atherosclerosis, so smoking cessation improve glycemic control and insulin sensitivity.
