View clinical trials related to Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2.
Filter by:To assess the safety and effectiveness of a next-generation automated insulin delivery algorithm in participants aged 16+ years with type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
The goal of this randomised control type of study is to examine the effects of Video Diabetes Training given to individuals with Type 2 Diabetes through smartphones on self-care and metabolic control. The Hypotheses of the Study: H1: Video Diabetes Training given to individuals with Type 2 Diabetes through smartphones has a positive impact on individuals' self-care. H2: Video Diabetes Training given to individuals with Type 2 Diabetes through smartphones has a positive impact on individuals' metabolic control variables. Participants will answer the data collection tools in the first and second interviews and metabolic control variables will be record. Diabetes training videos will sent to the Training Group through smartphones after the first meeting as two episodes a week. Video Diabetes Training given to training group will be examine the effects of on self-care and metabolic control.
The goal of this Randomized Controlled Trial is to study the effect of mobile Application on glycemic control of type2 diabetes mellitus. The main questions aim to answer are: - The effect of mobile application on glycemic control and quality of life of diabetes mellitus patients - The satisfaction of mobile application of diabetes mellitus patients who used it Participants will be received education about diabetes mellitus and separated into two groups, intervention group(using mobile application) and control group(not using mobile application but also receive standard treatment of diabetes mellitus. Researchers will compare intervention group to control group about glycemic control including HbA1c, complications of diabetes mellitus etc. and quality of life.
This is a Randomized Control Trial aiming at investigating the feasibility and effectiveness of a WhatsApp-based informative intervention on Diabetes Mellitus care in Lebanon and exploring the impact of this intervention on various aspects of Diabetes management and patient outcomes. Family member caregivers will be also included in this interventional study as the research investigators opt to evaluate their DM related knowledge, personal health practices, their involvement in the care of patients with diabetes, and their impact on the patients' diabetes control before and after the intervention.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effect of an increased restrictive factor of one gastric anastomosis (OAGB) using a "FundoRing" fundoplication on metabolic outcomes in type 2 diabetes mellitus. The randomized controlled trial compared two interventional procedures: one group - using the original fundoplication procedure to enhance the restrictive effect and another group without fundoplication in the standard version of the OAGB.
Establish a cohort study to describe the characteristics of gastric emptying in patients with type 1 diabetes, and adjust the timing of insulin injection during meals to improve blood glucose fluctuations according to the speed of gastric emptying.
The goal of this clinical trial is to investigate the effectiveness of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy in reducing pain intensity in individuals with chronic painful diabetic neuropathy (PDN). The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Does EMDR therapy significantly reduce pain intensity in individuals with chronic PDN? 2. What is the impact of EMDR therapy on secondary outcomes, specifically anxiety, sleep disturbances, and personalized pain-related limitations? Additionally, the study will explore the correlation between pain scores and symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in individuals with chronic PDN. Participants will undergo EMDR therapy sessions, focusing on the processing of emotionally charged pain-related events and addressing the pain itself. Main tasks for participants include active engagement in EMDR therapy sessions. Treatment outcomes, including changes in pain intensity, anxiety levels, sleep quality, and personalized pain-related limitations, will be monitored throughout the study.
This study aims to assess analytical performance of four BGMs and four HbA1c POC devices in comparison to suitable comparator or reference methods, with the view to evaluate performance in the hands of trained users, as well as intended users who are unfamiliar with the system (lay users, for BGMs only). System usability will also be assessed for all BGMs (including lancing devices) and HbA1c devices.
The purpose of this study is to measure the activity and insulin time action of LY3209590 at steady state in participants with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The total study duration is approximately 182 days.
The goal of this randomized clinical trial is to determine the effect of a chrono nutrition intervention compared with a usual dietary intervention on insulin resistance in individuals with type 2 diabetes with overweight or obesity over a 6-month period. The main question it aims to answer is: What is the effect of a chrono nutrition intervention compared to a standard intervention on insulin resistance in individuals with T2D (type 2 diabetes) with overweight or obesity over a 6-month period? Participants: - Will be asked to fast for 12 hours each day. During the fasting period, they may consume non-caloric beverages such as plain water, coffee, or unsweetened tea. - They will be asked to follow a dietary plan in which the total daily calorie intake will be calculated using indirect calorimetry, subtracting 500 calories from the total calorie amount. - The dietary plan will have the following macronutrient distribution: 40% carbohydrates (<10% simple carbohydrates), 20% protein, and 40% fats (6-11% polyunsaturated, 15-20% monounsaturated, and <10% saturated). - The plan will consist of 3 meals: breakfast will account for 40% of the total calories. Dinner will include only 10% of the total grams of carbohydrates. - The order of food consumption should be: 1) vegetables, 2) proteins, 3) complex carbohydrates, and 4) simple carbohydrates (fruits). Researchers will compare the chrono nutrition strategy with a standard dietary intervention to see the effect in insulin resistance.
