NCT ID: NCT04099108 Recruiting - Critical Illness Clinical Trials

Effect of Combined IV Bolus Amino Acid Supplementation and Mobilisation on Muscle Mass in Patients Over the First Week of ICU Care: RCT

Start date: May 26, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A single-centre, two-arm, parallel randomised controlled trial (RCT) to compare the combined effect of early intravenous bolus amino acid supplementation and mobilisation versus standard of care on changes in muscle mass over the first week in ICU. Half of study participants will receive the study intervention (in-bed cycling followed by an intravenous bolus amino acid supplement), while the other half will receive standard of care only.

NCT ID: NCT04073654 Recruiting - Bone Resorption Clinical Trials

SA Versus SOI Surfaces for Single Implant-supported Crown

Start date: September 26, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this randomized controlled trial is to compare clinical data and implant stability of immediately loaded TSIII Osstem implants with Sandblasted and Acid-etched (SA) surface versus implants with SA surface modified with pH buffering agent for the rehabilitation of single implant-supported crown.

NCT ID: NCT04024488 Recruiting - HIV-1-infection Clinical Trials

Group-Based Intervention to Improve Mental Health and Adherence Among Youth Living With HIV in Low Resource Settings

Start date: November 11, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

IMPAACT 2016 is a multi-site, two-arm, individually randomized, controlled study to evaluate whether an Indigenous Leader Outreach Model (ILOM) of trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy (TI-CBT) delivered by Indigenous Youth Leaders (IYL) is associated with improved mental health outcomes and ART adherence among youth living with HIV in resource-limited settings. The intervention is adapted to the local context through advance conduct of focus groups and pilot testing.

NCT ID: NCT03991728 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Temporomandibular Joint Disorders

Alloplastic Total Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Replacement Registry

Start date: October 15, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Prospective data will be collected in approximately 200 patients treated with an TMJ replacement. Patients will be followed up according to the standard (routine) for up to 5 years after the treatment. Data collection will include underlying disease, treatment details, functional and patient reported outcomes (PRO)s and anticipated or procedure-related adverse events (i.e. complications). This registry is designed to be able to assess the number of patients who refuse alloplastic total TMJ replacement. Therefore, the participating sites are asked to register all cases of refused TMJ replacements too.

NCT ID: NCT03950232 Recruiting - Ulcerative Colitis Clinical Trials

An Extension Study for Treatment of Moderately to Severely Active Ulcerative Colitis

ELEVATE UC OLE
Start date: September 5, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this open-label extension (OLE) study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of etrasimod in participants with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC) who previously received double-blind treatment (either etrasimod 2 mg per day or placebo) during participation in one of the qualified Phase 3 or Phase 2 double-blind, placebo-controlled parent studies including but not limited to: (APD334-301 [NCT03945188] or APD334-302 [NCT03996369] or APD334-210 [NCT04607837]).

NCT ID: NCT03896893 Recruiting - Prematurity Clinical Trials

Neonatal Bacterial Colonization Study

Start date: March 4, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the effect of skin antisepsis and/or emollient therapy on bacterial colonization dynamics in very low birth weight, hospitalized infants. Bacterial swabs from 5 body sites will be collected at baseline, day 3, day 8 and day 13 following study arm assignment. Study outcomes include changes in bacterial colony counts, burden of gram-negative and gram-positive pathogens and overall skin score.

NCT ID: NCT03887988 Recruiting - Orbital Fractures Clinical Trials

Orbital Fractures Registry

OFx
Start date: November 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Approximately 300 patients presenting orbital blow-out fracture will be enrolled prospectively in this registry. All patients, surgically and nonsurgically treated as per standard (routine) of care will be followed-up (FU) within the registry for a period of 6 months.
