There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Patient navigation is an evidence-based strategy to increase screening rates among racial and ethnic minorities, but there is a gap in understanding the multi-level influences on implementation of such programs across primary care practices. The investigators will conduct a stepped-wedge, randomized trial to roll out patient navigation and patient and provider reminders across 15 clinics (3 clinics per step, 5 six-month steps). Implementation strategies will include assessing for readiness, audit and feedback, building a community coalition, engaging consumers, modifying referral tracking, and training and educating clinical stakeholders. The research team will use the electronic health record data with consideration for the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) Common Data Model, additional patient-reported data, and study tracking logs to measure reach, effectiveness, adoption, implementation, and will use qualitative measures and site observations to document contextual factors, including examination of discrimination in patient experiences and provider referral patterns that may influence intervention delivery or colorectal cancer screening completion.
The purpose of this interventional study is to investigate the effects of aromatherapy on an acute care unit and whether it is effective in decreasing physical or emotional stressors that occur as a hospitalized patient. This study aimed to expand the limited literature on aromatherapy use in hospitalized adults and its effectiveness in decreasing pain, anxiety, and nausea. The hypothesis was that use of aromatherapy would decrease pain, anxiety and nausea in hospitalized adults and increase patient satisfaction. While there is anecdotal evidence of its efficacy, few studies exist evaluating its effectiveness within peer-reviewed journals, specifically on acute care medical surgical units.
The study is a multi-center, prospective, clinical trial designed to evaluate the use of InnovaMatrix AC sterilized porcine placental ECM to treat chronic VLUs . The trial will include 30 completed subjects at multiple, experienced clinical centers in the United States.
The central hypothesis is that biometric data can continuously monitor and allow for early identification/intervention of escalating suicidal symptoms. The rationale is that improved outpatient monitoring through wearable technology can create a more objective platform to provide the ability to identify a worsening condition and utilize patient-specific just-in-time therapeutics developed with mental health providers for suicidal adolescents.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of Clareon™ PanOptix™ Pro Trifocal Intraocular Lens (IOL) compared to Clareon™ PanOptix™ Trifocal IOL.
Phase 2 Safety, Efficacy and, Tolerability of Fixed Dose Combination of Aroxybutynin/Atomoxetine (AD109) in Obstructive Sleep Apnea Patients Taking Tirzepatide or Semaglutide
The goal of this two-group randomized trial is to determine the feasibility and acceptability of a remotely-delivered health coaching intervention offered in conjunction with usual care for patients with an acute exacerbation of chronic low back pain who present to the emergency department (ED). The main questions this feasibility trial aims to answer are: - Is our health coaching intervention and randomized trial methodology feasible to conduct? - Is our health coaching intervention acceptable to participants and ED providers? Participants will be randomized to one of two groups (usual ED care plus health coaching or usual ED care plus education) and complete outcome assessments at 3 and 6 months after ED discharge. Participants and ED providers will also complete an interview.
The objectives of this study are to compare the efficacy and safety of tanfanercept ophthalmic solution 0.25% and 1.0% to vehicle for the treatment of DED.
This trial is a study of 20 women with breast cancer to evaluate the addition of MR-guided (MRg) near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) with and without contrast, as part of a program to improve clinical management of women receiving breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
The goal of this study is to observe metabolic features associated with human melanoma tumors.
