There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study has 2 parts: dose finding and dose confirmatory. In Part 1, the dose finding phase of the study, there will be 3 or more dosing levels to find out what dose of durvalumab administered as an infusion under the skin acts similarly to durvalumab administered into a vein. 24 participants with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer will be enrolled for a 12 month treatment period and 3 months follow up In Part 2, the dose confirmation phase of the study, participants will receive the dose of durvalumab identified in Part 1 of the study. The goal of Part 2 will be to learn more about the way that the body processes durvalumab when administered as an infusion under the skin. Approximately 90 participants with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer will be enrolled; additionally, up to 10 participants with Small Cell Lung Cancer (who will receive concurrent chemotherapy) will be enrolled for a 12 treatment period and a 3 month follow-up period. AstraZeneca has decided to stop further enrollment and the study was terminated when all patients in Part 1 (Phase I) completed their last study visit. No safety issues or clinical concerns however, have been identified for this study. Part 2 (Phase II) was not initiated.
To demonstrate the efficacy of enobosarmin the treatment of androgen receptor positive (AR+) and estrogen receptor positive (ER+) metastatic breast cancer (MBC) as measured by radiographic progression free survival (rPFS).
The SCD PED-02 trial is examining the safety and efficacy of the Selective Cytopheretic Device (SCD) in treating pediatric acute kidney injury (AKI). AKI promotes a systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) which results in systemic microvascular damage and, if severe, multi-organ dysfunction. Activated circulating leukocytes play a central role in this process. The SCD is a synthetic membrane with the ability to bind activated leukocytes and, when used in a continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) extracorporeal circuit in the presence of regional citrate anticoagulation, modulates inflammation. The SCD PED-02 study will test the primary hypothesis that up to ten sequential 24-hour SCD treatments in pediatric patients with AKI will be completed safely and improve survival compared to historical controls who received CRRT alone.
This is phase II study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of inhaled Ampion in adults with respiratory distress due to COVID-19
Subjects over age 50 with no previous resistance training sessions will be recruited at a subacute rehabilitation and long term care facility. Subjects will be asked to perform a series of eccentric upper arm curl exercises under physician supervision in order to induce muscle soreness. Afterwards, topical oil containing a 2% dilution of either eucalyptus or peppermint oil in fractionated coconut oil will be applied to the flexor surface of the proximal non-dominent arm, and plain fractionated coconut oil to the other arm. This will be repeated at 8 hours and 24 hours after exercise. Subjects will be asked to report their perceived level of muscle soreness using a visual analog scale survey 24, 48, and 72 hours after exercise.
The primary objective of this study is to compare progression-free survival (PFS) between Arm A (ociperlimab in combination with tislelizumab) and Arm C (Durvalumab) as assessed by the Independent Review Committee (IRC) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors Version 1.1 (RECIST v1.1) in participants with stage III unresectable PD-L1-selected non-small cell lung cancer whose disease has not progressed after cCRT.
This is a prospective, single-blind, parallel-design randomized controlled clinical trial that aims compare the effectiveness of articaine local infiltration to lidocaine inferior alveolar nerve block (IANB) for restorative treatment of primary mandibular molars (PMM). Four to 10-year-old children who needed PMM restorations are enrolled according to inclusion criteria and randomly allocated into the articaine or lidocaine group. One operator administers all local anesthesia (LA). Using the Modified Behavioral Pain Scale, 15 trained and calibrated examiners, blinded to LA type, evaluate the subjects' reactions during LA administration and treatment. Children rate their experience using the Wong-Baker FACES Pain Rating Scale. Subjects' blood pressure and pulse throughout the visit are recorded. Results are statistically analyzed using independent t-tests, Mann Whitney-U, and Repeated Measures ANOVA (P<0.05).
The purpose of the study is to the evaluate safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and efficacy of AZD0466 as monotherapy in partciapants with advanced haematological malignancies and also to assess drug-drug interaction (DDI) potential between AZD0466 and the azole antifungal voriconazole.
A Phase I, open-label clinical pharmacology study designed to evaluate the effect of tipifarnib on cardiac repolarization (corrected QT interval [QTc] duration) following a single dose of 900 mg and after repeated twice daily administration of 600 mg in subjects with advanced solid malignancies. Subjects will receive a 900 mg single dose at cycle 1 day 1 follow by 600 mg twice a day orally with a meal (Days 2-7 and 15-21) in 28-day cycles. Beginning on Day 2 of Cycle 1, subjects will self-administer 600 mg tipifarnib, orally with a meal, bid for 7 days in alternating weeks (Days 2-7 and 15-21) in 28-day cycles. The secondary objectives are to evaluate the safety and PK of tipifarnib. Series of PK will be collected on day -1 of Cycle 1, Cycle 1 day 1 and Cycle 1 day 7.
The purpose of this study is to determine to what extent a short systemic steroid therapy with estradiol and progesterone, administered early to hospitalized and confirmed COVID-19 positive patients of both sexes in addition to standard of care (SOC) can reduce the severity of symptoms and outcomes compared to SOC alone.
