There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study seeks to establish - the recommended Phase 2 dose (RPTD) of veliparib in combination with concurrent paclitaxel/carboplatin-based chemoradiotherapy (CRT) and consolidation with paclitaxel/carboplatin-based chemotherapy (Phase 1 portion), and - to assess whether the addition of oral veliparib versus placebo to paclitaxel/carboplatin-based chemoradiotherapy with paclitaxel/carboplatin consolidation will improve progression-free survival (PFS) in adults with Stage III non-small cell lung cancer (Phase 2 portion). A strategy decision was made not to proceed to Phase 2 portion of this study due to change in standard of care.
This pilot clinical trial studies a peer-to-peer support program in improving quality of life outcomes in patients with gynecologic cancer and their caregivers. Peer-to-peer support and mentoring may help improve quality of life and reduce symptoms of distress in gynecologic cancer patients and their families.
Establish a data repository of patients who have undergone thoracic and/or lumbar instrumented arthrodesis procedure supplemented by the Implanet Jazz System.
This study will look into how topical treatment with synthetic Vitamin D3, calcipotriene ointment, used as standard of care, works in patients with morphea. Skin biopsies of morphea lesions before and after treatment with topical calcipotriene 0.005% ointment will be analyzed for changes in RNA and protein. A skin biopsy of unaffected skin will also be obtained and used for a control. This is an initial study to look at the molecular effects of topical calcipotriene on human morphea-involved skin. This study will look at the differences between affected and unaffected skin. This study also will look at clinical outcomes in morphea patients and determine if there are any clinical predictors for improvement with the medication.
The main purpose of this Pilot Study is to test the safety, tolerability and quality of life in women who take Fermented Wheat Germ Extract (FWGE), to determine if an active form of FWGE can be detected in the blood, and determine whether short-term therapy with FWGE has any effect on the tumor marker, cancer antigen 125 (CA-125).
The objectives of this study are to determine the efficacy and safety of BEGEDINA® in subjects with steroid resistant acute graft versus host disease (GvHD). GvHD is a rare and complex immunological disease occurring in some recipients of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplants (HSCTs) and affecting principally the skin, liver and gastrointestinal (GI) tissues. The disease is life threatening and may be acute or chronic and the first choice treatment for patients with acute GvHD (Grade II or higher) is the immunosuppressive corticosteroid hormone methylprednisolone. However, some GvHD patients may be resistant to this treatment leading to disease progression and a high rate of morbidity and mortality, primarily from infections and/or multi-organ failure. There are currently no other satisfactory therapies. BEGEDINA® is a therapeutic monoclonal antibody that recognises and binds to CD26 on CD4+ T lymphocytes. BEGEDINA® reduces the activity of CD26 in these cells and inhibits the immune response leading to improvement in patients that have shown steroid resistance. This study is therefore aimed at demonstrating that BEGEDINA® is a safe and effective treatment for steroid-resistant GvHD patients where no other such treatments are currently available.
Locus coeruleus (LC) norepinephrine (NE) neuron activity has been convincingly linked to regulation of acute fear. This study will address whether LC NE activity examined through pupil measures will reflect carbon dioxide (CO2) induced fear-responses in humans and if transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) can mitigate these effects. A 2 year R21 phase establishing feasibility, tolerability, safety, and proof-of-concept (POC) in terms of capacity to engage LC NE neurons with tDCS, followed by a 3 year R33 parallel-group, double-blind, randomized, controlled trial will determine the degree to which engaging LC NE neurons with tDCS improves clinical symptoms.
To determine the efficacy of a CBT-I intervention in improving sleep and other quality of life outcomes during cancer treatment. To assess the feasibility and acceptability of a CBT-I intervention among newly diagnosed cancer patients.
The goal of this clinical research study is to learn if giving pacritinib before standard of care drugs followed by an allogeneic stem cell transplant can help to control myeloproliferative neoplasms. The safety of this therapy will also be studied.
This study will look at how dexamethasone and placebo influence radiation fatigue, quality of life and number of treatment days missed during radiation therapy or radiation therapy and chemotherapy for cancer.
