There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether endoscopic choroid plexus coagulation is safe in adult patients with communicating hydrocephalus and risk factors for complications from the standard surgical treatment. It may also help determine whether the endoscopic choroid plexus coagulation is effective in treating your communicating hydrocephalus. The Investigators hope that this research will allow us to place fewer shunts in patients with conditions similar to yours, avoiding complications.
This phase II trial studies how well olaparib, cediranib maleate, and standard chemotherapy work in treating patients with small cell lung cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin, cisplatin, and etoposide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Olaparib and cediranib maleate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Olaparib, cediranib maleate, and standard chemotherapy may work better in treating patients with small cell lung cancer.
The purpose of this study to determine if older adults who are healthy and physically active (i.e., Masters athletes) demonstrate slower rates of recovery from unaccustomed strenuous exercise of downhill running than younger peers.
In this study positron emission tomography (PET/CT) imaging will be used to evaluate evaluation of estrogen receptor heterogeneity and functionality in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) using the investigational radiotracer [18F]fluoroestradiol (FES).
Delirium within the intensive care unit (ICU) is associated with poor outcomes such as increased mortality, ICU and hospital length of stay (LOS), and time on mechanical ventilation. Benzodiazepine (BZD) exposure is an independent risk factor for development of delirium. Reversal of hypoactive delirium represents a potential opportunity for reducing duration of delirium and subsequent complications. This is a single-center randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of critically ill adult patients with benzodiazepine-associated hypoactive delirium. The hypothesis is that flumazenil continuous infusion may reverse hypoactive delirium associated with BZD exposure and thereby reduce duration of delirium and ICU LOS.
This Phase I/II open-label, randomized, dose-escalation study will assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and preliminary efficacy of VAL-1221 versus Myozyme®/Lumizyme® in participants with late-onset glycogen storage disease-II (GSD-II) (Pompe disease)
A Phase IB/II Trial of Lenalidomide (Revlimid®), Ixazomib and Rituximab (RIXAR) as Front-line Therapy for High Risk Indolent B cell Lymphoma
Study Purpose: Parkinson's disease leads to severally impaired motor control. The purpose of this study is to better understand and analyze the characteristics of arm muscle activity while doing some reaching tasks and of leg muscles while walking. This will allow the investigators to improve understanding of the mechanisms underlying the motor impairments in Parkinson's disease.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of BAX 802 in males with congenital hemophilia A (CHA) with inhibitors who are undergoing major or minor elective surgical, dental, or other invasive procedures.
The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the effects of yoga (including breathing exercises) on the quality of life in patients, diagnosed and undergoing standard treatments for non-small cell lung cancer.
