There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The primary purpose of the proposed study is to evaluate the effects of a topical sodium bicarbonate lotion (PR Lotion, AMP Human, Park City, UT) on measures of hydration status and fluid balance in humans when exposed to the heat while resting and during light/moderate aerobic exercise. A secondary purpose is to examine these same effects with two differing dosage patterns of the lotion. A tertiary purpose is to investigate the effect of an amino acid rehydration beverage in comparison to a placebo on measurements of hydration, subjective assessments of stress, and vestibular as well as musculoskeletal measures of fatigue for up to 24-hours after the completion of both passive and exertional heat stress within a dehydrated state.
JINZHEN is a botanical drug that contains eight chemical constituents extracted from plant, mineral and animal origin raw materials. This study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of JINZHEN Granules for Oral Solution compared to placebo for treatment of mild to moderate COVID-19 outpatients.
This is a prospective randomized study. The aim is to investigate the efficacy of a combined SAPB with TTPB for perioperative pain control compared to the standard local anesthetic infiltration technique in adult patients undergoing SICD implantation. The hypothesis is that the combined plane block provides better pain control compared to the standard local infiltration technique.
The purpose of this research study is to learn how therapy for breast cancer or DCIS/LCIS affects cognitive function and beliefs about cancer/DCIS/LCIS and diabetes (DM). For this portion of the study, the study team will integrate the information collected at previous follow-ups to create educational modules to change disease and medication beliefs and improve DM self-management behaviors (SMB). The educational counseling modules the study team plans to pilot test are rooted in the Common Sense Self-Regulation Model, a theory that posits that health behaviors are influenced by two parallel processes: cognitive (i.e., disease beliefs and expectations) and affective (i.e., emotional responses).
Prospective evaluation of patient compliance and prescribed home exercise program using MotionSense wearable system during recovery from primary total knee arthroplasty.
This study is designed to test the effects of chewing efficiency on human gut microbiome composition and function.
This is a Phase 1 pharmacokinetic (PK) study in healthy participants to assess the plasma pharmacokinetics, safety, and tolerability of a single inhaled dose of nezulcitinib (TD-0903) with supplemental oxygenation.
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the non-inferiority (NI) of the humoral immune response of the 4 influenza vaccine strains after concomitant administration of the Ad26.COV2.S vaccine and a seasonal quadrivalent standard-dose influenza vaccine versus the administration of a seasonal quadrivalent standard-dose influenza vaccine administered alone; and to demonstrate the NI of the binding antibody response after concomitant administration of Ad26.COV2.S vaccine and a seasonal quadrivalent standard-dose influenza vaccine versus the administration of Ad26.COV2.S vaccine administered alone.
This study is to see if applying red and violet low-level laser light can help to reduce foot pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy,
Heavy alcohol use among young adults is a significant public health problem. Advances in technology may offer an innovative solution. This project will conduct the first controlled test of a feedback intervention for reducing drinking and improving health in young adults by targeting heart rate variability, resting heart rate, and sleep via biosensors and electronic diary methods.
