NCT ID: NCT05287958 Completed - ALS Clinical Trials

Feasibility of an Electrical Impedance Tomography Device for Pulmonary Function Testing in ALS Patients

Start date: July 15, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is an unblinded pilot study to investigate the technical feasibility of using an electrical impedance tomography device for noninvasive pulmonary function monitoring in ALS patients. The study will enroll patients with ALS in one cohort and healthy volunteers in a second cohort that will both undergo EIT imaging with the investigational device prior to and while performing a standard PFT procedure.

NCT ID: NCT05287724 Completed - Pruritus Clinical Trials

Defining N-Acetyl Cysteine as a Treatment for Inhibiting Prurogenic Stimuli

Start date: June 19, 2022
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this double-blinded placebo-controlled cross-over study is to define the role of the over the counter agent, N-acetyl cysteine (NAC), in mitigating the development of pruritus (skin itching). The study is designed to have all subjects treated with a seven-day regimen of both NAC and placebo. NAC will be prescribed at a dose of 1,500 mg twice daily for seven days. Subjects will initially be randomly assigned (1:1) to either the NAC or placebo arm of the study, before crossing over to the opposite arm after completing a minimum of 30-day washout period. The study will encompass a period of approximately 11 weeks (about 2 and a half months).

NCT ID: NCT05287685 Completed - Parenting Clinical Trials

Adapting a Parenting Intervention to Promote Healthy Screen Time Habits in Young Children With Behavior Problems

Start date: April 28, 2022

NCT ID: NCT05287581 Completed - Clinical trials for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Motivating Individuals With Lupus to Exercise

MOVES
Start date: January 17, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Physical activity and exercise are helpful for managing symptoms like fatigue in people living with systemic lupus erythematosus (lupus; SLE). Despite research supporting physical activity participation, people with lupus are often inactive and report being afraid to exercise. To that end, this project is a pilot randomized controlled trial for examining the efficacy of a home-based behavioral intervention based on social cognitive theory and motivational interviewing for increasing physical activity and decreasing fatigue.

NCT ID: NCT05287529 Completed - Aging Well Clinical Trials

In-home Yoga for Seniors

Start date: December 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The overall purpose of this study is to adapt a 12-week, standardized in-home yoga program into an 8-week in-home program with a high degree of fidelity, participant adherence, and safety. The Yoga for Seniors program was previously implemented in five rural WI communities with five yoga teachers providing the in-class guidance and support for the standardized program. The investigators seek to convert the program to a telehealth-based approach and deliver the intervention with fidelity to the program, in a safe and effective manner to 120 participants.
