There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a new leg compression device in preventing post-surgical deep vein thrombosis (blood clot) that can occur after major and complex spine surgery. The investigators aim to show that this new compression device is no worse than the standard sequential compression device (SCD) at preventing DVT and may be able to detect deep vein thrombosis in patients who are not typically screened for this diagnosis after surgery. This new device may be able to capture an important post-surgical complication while providing a more comfortable treatment option.
The proposed research will assess the feasibility and preliminary effectiveness of a Sleep Hygiene Program for Breast Cancer Survivors. Participants will complete assessments related to sleep issues, participate in a Sleep Hygiene Program, and complete another assessment post-intervention.
The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of local wound infiltration of EXPAREL® (liposomal bupivacaine) with bupivacaine HCl compared to active control with bupivacaine HCl alone following elective primary or repeat cesarean delivery with spinal anesthesia.
This study evaluates adherence to a ketogenic diet in patients with low tumor burden, treatment-naïve mantle cell lymphoma.
The purpose of this study is to determine if measurements for cataract surgery are improved with use of additional lubrication with artificial tears. The research study is being done to optimize measurements and provide patients with the best visual outcomes after cataract surgery.
This study will use the drug daratumumab in patients who did not achieve at least a very good partial response (VGPR) and are already planned to have an Autologous Stem Cell Transplant (ASCT). Daratumumab will be given before the stem cell collection to attempt to get rid of any multiple myeloma cells that may be present in the stem cell collection and after the ASCT to get rid of any multiple myeloma cells that may be remaining.
Hope Biosciences is conducting a research study of an investigational product called autologous adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (abbreviated as HB-adMSCs) as a possible treatment for Alzheimer's disease (AD). The study purpose is to evaluate the safety profile of four IV infusions of HB-adMSCs in subjects with clinical diagnosis of AD.
The study is a single site, prospective, open label, observational, single arm trial in 30 patients with type 2 diabetes with GI complaints using 1 or more oral or injectable anti-hyperglycemic agents to investigate if altering the microbiome though Pendulum T2D dietary supplementation can further enhance the efficacy of the current treatment while reducing the GI associated symptoms in patients with Type 2 diabetes.
The goal of this study is to perform a first-in-humans trial of a fully integrated, automated, closed-loop blood glucose control system designed for inpatient use. The GlucoSTAT was designed for use by patients with diabetes while they are in the hospital, and others who may develop high blood sugar as a result of their medical problems.
Multi-center, prospective, randomized controlled clinical trial that will compare two treatment methods (PGA with TOOKAD® VTP and Active Surveillance) for treating localized prostate cancer. The study will include criteria for evaluation, biopsy, eligibility, informed consent, subsequent management and decision making conducted based on data provided locally at each center that follow a set of standardized criteria.
