There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) are defined by pain in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and related tissues, limitations in the movements of the lower jaw, and TMJ noises.1,2 TMD are classified into four groups as temporomandibular joint disorders, masticatory muscle disorders, headache attributed to TMD and associated structures.3,4 Of these, masticatory muscle disorders are the most common TMD subtype seen in dental clinics.5-7 In general, two major symptoms are seen associated with masticatory muscle disorders: Pain and dysfunction. Pain is the vast majority of complaints about masticatory muscle disorders. The other important complaint is dysfunction, which occurs as a limitation in the opening range of the mandible.8 It is known that individuals with experimental muscle pain are slower than healthy individuals when biting hard food and show lower maximum voluntary clenching capacity.9 Also, it has been reported that the maximum bite force decreased in patients with temporomandibular disorders.10 These consequences directly affect patients' quality of life. Therefore, rehabilitation of limited masticatory functions is one of the important therapeutic goals for TMD patients.11 In TMD patients, masticatory functions can be measured objectively with bite force, bite force endurance, electromyography, and jaw kinematics, etc. Another objective method that can be used to determine masticatory functions is the masticatory efficiency test. In the literature, there are few studies that measure masticatory efficiency in TMD patients.12-16 Only two of these studies investigated the effect of TMD treatment and used the sieve method to measure masticatory efficiency.15,16 Although the sieve method is considered the gold standard, the procedure is complex and time consuming.17,18 To eliminate these disadvantages, masticatory efficiency measurement with two-color chewing gum tests which are simple and do not require special equipment or training can be used. The effect of many different conditions and treatments on masticatory efficiency was evaluated with this method.19 However, to our knowledge, there is no study in the literature evaluating TMD treatment with this method. The aim of this study was to compare the masticatory efficiency with a two-color chewing gum test before and after treatment of the masticatory muscle-related temporomandibular disorder.
Investigators will recruit patients diagnosed with COVID-19 pneumonia between March 11th, 2020 and April 15th, 2020 in emergency, internal medicine and cardiology outpatient clinics, retrospectively and analyze their clinical and demographic features on admission in regard to their medications used for chronic diseases regularly.
Patients who visited our family planning clinic and opted for IUD application for contraception purposes were also offered NT/TLA treatments simultaneously. 40 patients who matched the inclusion criteria and received IUDs and NT/TLA treatments were included in the study group and 41 patients who only received IUDs were included in the control group. All patients received copper IUDs and none of them were on additional hormonal treatment. Before the insertion of IUD, women in the therapy group received NT treatment with 6ml of 1% procaine injected transvaginal into the cervix at 5 and 7 o'clock localizations. Following IUD insertion, another 6ml of 1% procaine was injected into the Frankenhauser ganglia bilaterally. A final dose of 8ml of 1% procaine was injected into the abdominal trigger points and intracutaneously into the L4-S4 dermatomes as quaddles.
The study will aim to investigate the relation of platelet count (PLT), mean platelet volume (MPV) and platelet distribution width (PDW) with other acute phase reactant c-reactive protein(CRP) in Coronavirus(COVID-19). As a methodology, patients will be selected in records in one month from the online hospital system. Two groups will be divided before as need for mechanical ventilation or not. The latter comparison will be about three groups as an ambulatory follow-up, hospital follow-up, and intensive care unit follow-up. Parameters will be analyzed according to the groups.

Although previous researches have investigated the effect of social media on different medical situations, there is no study focused role of social media on patients' behavior and information source during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the present study, it is aimed to reveal the impact of social media on patients' attitudes and information sources during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Primary immune deficiencies (PID) are a group of chronic diseases characterized by recurrent infections. Apart from recurrent infections, in some of PIDs autoimmunity, allergy or malignancy could be accompanied to the diseases. Recently, the advanced sequencing technologies have led to the identification of a growing number of novel PIDs including the immune dysregulation syndromes caused by loss of function mutations in the LRBA (encoding lipopolysaccharide-responsive beige like anchor protein) and CTLA4 (encoding cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen 4) genes, which are in common associated with autoimmunity in addition to a predisposition to recurrent infections. PIDs with autoimmune components usually tend to have a more protracted clinical course and poorer prognosis rendering early diagnosis and treatment more crucial. The accurate diagnosis largely relies on the molecular diagnosis due to the significant overlaps between the phenotypic expression of these various genetic defects. The project aims to provide better and early diagnosis for LRBA, CTLA4 deficiencies by using basic and advanced immunological, genetic and molecular assays and rendering an early targeting therapy for patients, discover disease related new pathways and biomarkers that can be helpful during diagnosis and monitoring abatacept targeted therapy responses.
Novel Coronavirus is defined to be the cause of COVID-19, recently. It's known that COVID-19 goes with excessive immune reaction of human body in severe cases. The investigators hypothesize that quercetin, as a strong scavenger and anti-inflammatory agent, can be effective on both prophylaxis and treatment of COVID-19 cases. Therefore, the aim of this study to evaluate the possible role of quercetin on prophylaxis and treatment of COVID-19.
