There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Sedation with dexmedetomidine-propofol or ketamine-propofol was planned in patients with upper gastrointestinal endoscopy.
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrinological disorder in women of reproductive age, and its prevalence is reported to be 6-21% in women aged 15-49 (1). Although its etiopathogenesis is still not clear, it is known that it is due to the disregulation of ovarian steroidogenesis under the influence of some environmental and genetic factors. Diagnosis of ESHRE / ASRM has set Rotterdam criteria in 2003; one of these criteria is the presence of hyperandrogenism (2). Hyperandrogenism leads to an increase in general muscle mass in the body (1, 3, 4). Pelvic floor muscles are associated with urethra in the anterior compartment, rectum and anus in the posterior compartment, and uterine support in the apex; major urinary and fecal continence ensuring its functions in order to stop in the appropriate position of the pelvic organs (5). The well-being of the pelvic floor muscle strength has a protective effect from urinary and fecal incontinence. It has been emphasized that the "anogenital distance" determined by the measurement of the anal region anterior to the clitoris anterior may also be a criteria in the diagnosis of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (7,8,9). In this study, patients in the reproductive age between 18-40 years, who applied to our gynecology outpatient clinic and were diagnosed as PCOS according to Rotterdam criteria wil be study gorup and the women without PCOS will be control group. We aimed to evaluate the pelvic muscle strength with perineometry, to measure anogenital distance and to determine possible relationships with each other. In addition to demographic information, ICIQ-SF (Urinary incontinence inquiry short form) will also be taken to evaluate pelvic floor function (10).
The effect of endotracheal cuff pressure measurement technique for preventing ventilatory associated pneumonia.
Arthroscopic shoulder surgery is often associated with moderate to severe postoperative pain that may interfere with patients' early mobilization, recovery and quality of life. In addition, by using an effective analgesic technique, a patient may experience less nausea, vomiting and drowsiness after surgery that are associated with the use of opioids to manage postoperative pain. Erector spinae plane block (ESPB) has been used in many different indications for acute pain treatment at different thoracic and lumbar levels. Recently, staining the roots of the brachial plexus has been reported in a cadaveric study of the cervical ESPB (1). However, there are only few case reports related to efficiency and safety of this newly defined cervical ESPB technique (2) . The primary objective of this randomized controlled is investigate the post-operative analgesic effectiveness of ultrasound guided single-shot cervical ESPB for patients undergoing arthroscopic shoulder surgery in comparison to those receiving conventional parentheral opioid analgesia alone. Secondary objective is testing the safety of this newly defined block in terms of incidence of complications.
The protection of cochlear cells is one of the main concerns of cochlear implant surgery. New electrode designs or additional molecules have been used for this purpose. The aim of the study is to test the effect of dexamethasone in two different application methods.
The first aim of this study is if there is any difference between 4 or 8 weeks of inspiratory muscle training ( IMT ) exercises groups and control groups in stroke survivors. The secondary aims of this study is if there is any difference in walking capacity (in 8th, 12th, 24th weeks) and pulmonary complications (pneumonia incidences) in long term follow-ups (6 months) in these aforementioned groups
Cervical cancer is an important health problem in women. Human papillomavirus (HPV) is considered the primary etiological agent of cervical cancer worldwide. Cervical cancer screening methods are proved one of the few screening methods that are thought to decrease invasive cancer incidence and mortality. In our country, HPV screening is carried out free of charge by public health to women between the ages of 30-65 aim is to compare HPV screening results between women diagnosed with atopic disease and healthy women without a history of atopy. If HPV is detected more frequently in patients with atopy, it may be recommended to follow more closely in vaccination and screening programs. Therefore, our study was designed to evaluate whether HPV positivity is common in atopic women.
Clinical research will be carried out on two groups of patients. It will be performed on people with recurrent pregnancy loss and without a history of pregnancy loss. In two groups, blood samples will be assessed by elisa test, SCUBE-1 level and carotis intima media thickness will be evaluated by ultrasonographic measurement. It will be investigated whether there is a statistically significant difference between the two groups.A statistically significant difference in SCUBE-1 and carotid intima media thickness known as ischemia markers is expected in the group with recurrent pregnancy loss that could not be explained in the hypothesis of this planned study.
In the present study, the severity of recurrent laryngeal nerve injury (RLNI) and hypocalcemia (H) will be followed-up and the probable interrelation between them will be proposed considering the clinical situation of patients, e.g. improvement in hypocalcemia also make a positive effect on voice? (any objective sign? Ca? PTH?), return of voice is parallel with the improvement in hypocalcemia? Postoperative calcium (Ca), parathyroid hormone (PTH), regular vocal cord evaluations by ear-nose-throat (ENT) exams, deterioration-stability-improvement of clinical symptoms regarding both Ca metabolism and vocal cord function will be noted at regular intervals (postoperative day 1-3-first, weekly control/first month, monthly/first 6-month, 3-monthly/6-12 months) at outpatient controls. Serum Ca, PTH, ENT evaluation of vocal cords-noted.
To evaluate the effects of gestational age and other factors on maternal attachment relationship. There are different results in studies examining the effects of birth type on postpartum depression and mother-infant interaction. The aim of this study was to evaluate factors which affected mother-infant bond (MIB) using maternal attachment inventory (MAI).
