Exercise is a core treatment method in the management of Axial Spondyloarthritis. Clinical guidelines recommend a combination of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic approaches to reduce disease activity and symptoms and improve physical function. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the provision of healthcare services remotely and the digitalization of rehabilitation services. Telerehabilitation methods provide advantages in terms of transportation, prevention of infections that may occur due to suppression of immunity with drugs, and continuity of treatment in patients with axial spondyloarthritis. In this context, it is important to evaluate the effects of remote physiotherapy and rehabilitation delivery in chronic inflammatory rheumatic diseases. This study, which will examine the effects of telerehabilitation in the disease management processes of individuals with axial spondyloarthritis, is thought to shed light on future studies. The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of telerehabilitation or pre-recorded video-based core exercise program on core endurance, disease activity and physical function in subjects with axial spondyloarthritis.
This study was planned to investigate the effectiveness of usual care and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation exercise program in patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty surgery. It is aimed to evaluate pain intensity, disability level, proprioception, kinesiophobia, balance, range of motion and functional status of the patients. The study will be conducted with volunteer patients who are followed up by the Orthopedics and Traumatology outpatient clinic of Fethiye State Hospital and who have undergone total knee arthroplasty surgery. The evaluations will be performed in the Orthopedics and Traumatology outpatient clinic of Fethiye State Hospital. It is aimed to evaluate at least 32 patients for the study. The first evaluation will be performed 6 weeks post-operatively and the second evaluation will be performed 2 months after the treatment.
This study aims to compare the maximal exercise capacity, functional exercise capacity, respiratory functions, physical activity level, quality of life, respiratory muscle strength and endurance, peripheral muscle strength, muscle oxygenation and dyspnea in children with primary immunodeficiency (PID) and healthy individuals. The study was designed as a cross-sectional study on 26 patients diagnosed with primary immunodeficiency and 26 age- and sex-matched healthy individuals. Differences between both groups will be evaluated statistically. This research is a randomized controlled double-blind experimental study aiming to evaluate the effect of tele-nursing practices based on technological competence theory on empowerment status and symptom management self-efficacy in breast cancer patients. The research will be carried out between September 2023 and March 2024 with patients diagnosed with breast cancer, who are receiving chemotherapy on an active basis, registered in the Medical Oncology Polyclinic of Atatürk University Health Research and Application Center. The sample of the study will consist of 70 people, 35 of which are in the experimental group and 35 in the control group. Afterwards, approximately 11 weeks of tele-nursing practices, including training, counseling and tele-monitoring based on the theory of technological competence, will be given to the experimental group. While preparing the content of tele-nursing practices, national and international literature will be scanned. In line with the literature; Training, consultancy and follow-up will be provided on breast cancer, problems experienced in the treatment process of breast cancer, the most frequently experienced chemotherapy symptoms and management strategies. Before starting the training program, a training booklet will be distributed to the patients and shared as an e-booklet. Within the scope of the training program, a five-week training will be held once a week via "Google Meet". After the training program is completed, the counseling and telemonitoring process will begin. In this process, a previously prepared consultancy guide will be used. Counseling and telemonitoring will cover 2 chemotherapy cycles (approximately 6 weeks). Within the scope of the application, the entire experimental group will be individually phoned on the 7th day after receiving a chemotherapy course. Information about the individual conditions of the patients and the instant status changes regarding the symptoms will be obtained and their questions will be answered in line with the previously created counseling guide. Patients will be informed that at any time other than the specified days, the questions of the patients regarding the instantaneous situation changes will be answered. After the completion of the tele-nursing practices, post-test measurements will be made with the Cancer Empowerment Scale and the Chemotherapy Symptom Management in Breast Cancer-Self-efficacy Scale of the experimental and control groups, and the feedback of the patients in the experimental group regarding the implementation process will be received. No attempt will be made to the individuals in the control group during the research process. In order to examine the effects of hip strength training on upper extremity function and performance, 60 healthy volleyball players with an age range of 13 to 40 years will be included in our study. Shoulder joint range of motion, shoulder and hip muscle strength, upper extremity functional performance, and spike speed will be evaluated. Participants will be randomly divided into 2 groups as Training Group (TG) (will receive 6-week, 3 days a week, hip strength training in addition to their sport-specific training) and Control Group (CG) (will continue their sport-specific training). Evaluations will be repeated 3 times before exercise training, after 6 weeks of exercise training, and at the 12th week, and the results will be analyzed.
The target population of hip surgery is usually the elderly patients with systemic comorbidity. Especially hip fractures are common in society and cause high morbidity and mortality for geriatric patients . Pain felt before and during surgery can cause metabolic and endocrine changes in the body, leading to sleep disorders, depression, delirium, dementia and persistent chronic pain. With effective postoperative analgesia, it is possible to reduce postoperative complications and mortality and accelerate post-surgical recovery. Pharmacological methods such as opioids and NSAIDs used for this may cause further deterioration and other side effects in geriatric patients with reduced renal and hepatic function, thus delaying post-surgical recovery and thus discharge. In order to avoid these side effects, regional anesthesia techniques can be preferred. Regional anesthesia techniques are among the most effective methods of postoperative analgesia. Peripheral nerve blocks are also one of the regional anesthesia methods. Peripheral nerve blocks; They are the most ideal postoperative analgesia methods because they provide effective analgesia, reduce the need for opioids and consequently their side effects, are effective in the treatment of dynamic pain and facilitate recovery. Patients undergoing hip surgery have very severe pain and need additional postoperative analgesics. Mobilization of patients is delayed due to pain . Depending on this , thromboembolism , deep vein The risk of nosocomial infection increases due to thrombosis , wound infection and increased length of stay. Alleviating the pain around the hip joint capsule is an effective analgesia method in hip surgeries. The anterior capsule of the hip joint is innervated by the femoral , obturator , and accessory obturator nerves . Pericapsular nerve group (PENG) block also targets these nerves. Many studies have shown that PENG block provides adequate analgesia for more than 24 hours postoperatively. PENG block is a method that is frequently used in the world and in our clinic and has a low complication rate. In this study, the investigators aimed to show that pericapsular nerve group block performed before spinal anesthesia in hip surgeries reduces postoperative pain and decreases total opioid consumption.
