Chemerin in Colorectal Cancer and Its Relationship With Diet Quality

To investigate the relationship between serum chemerin levels of individuals with colorectal cancer and systematic inflammatory response parameters such as C-reactive protein(CRP) and albumin, and to investigate the relationship of these biomarkers with dietary inflammatory index, phytochemical, anthropometric measurements, and dietary inflammatory index, which is calculated with the data obtained from the 24-hour food consumption record and food consumption frequency questionnaire. The aim of this study is to examine the relationships between the index and dietary antioxidant capacity and to compare them with those of healthy individuals.

Effects of Myofascial Release Technique on Mobility, Sensorimotor Function and Performance in Volleyball Players

Sports that require overhead activities (volleyball, tennis, basketball) include components such as rapid displacement, strength and movement control.Volleyball is also called as an overhead sport in terms of the way it is played. In the realization of these sports; Sub-parameters such as proprioceptive sense, strength, throwing rate, flexibility play a role. During these activities, the shoulder and elbow joints are overloaded. To meet this load, the joint must provide the necessary mobility and stability. Proprioceptive sense in increasing the quality and width of movement as well as providing dynamic joint stability in overhead sports; Increasing the range of motion of the joint, reducing muscle stiffness and thus increasing flexibility are effective in providing mobility. That's why it's important to develop them. Likewise, muscle strength should be increased in order to maintain movement performance and prevent injuries. The use of myofascial release techniques as an exercise method has increased in recent years. Application; The effects on parameters such as strength, performance and flexibility were investigated. Studies have focused more on the lower extremities and acute effects. There is no study on the subject examining proprioceptive sensation in volleyball players in the upper extremity. Therefore, our aim is to examine the chronic effects of the application on shoulder and elbow joint mobility, sensorimotor function and performance.

Efficacy of Motor Control Exercise Program After Lumbar Spinal Decompression Surgery

The study will be conducted with volunteer patients who have undergone lumbar decompression surgery and who are followed up by the Neurosurgery outpatient clinic of Fethiye State Hospital. The cases will be divided into 2 groups by randomization software. The control group will receive stretching, strengthening, core stabilization and educational content as usual care 3 months post-operatively. The study group will be given motion control exercises in addition to the program given to the control group 3 months post-operatively. These applications will be applied to the patients face-to-face in the clinical environment 2 days a week for 12 weeks. The first evaluation will be performed 3 months post-operatively before the treatment and the second evaluation will be performed 3 months after the treatment.

Examination of Edema After Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery

The investigators's aim is to examine trunk and upper extremity edema after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and/or labrum repair surgeries. During surgery, the shoulder joint capsule is cut and the joint is entered arthroscopically. During this procedure, approximately 3-6 liters of saline fluid is injected into the joint, depending on the duration of the surgery. The given fluid accumulates out of the joint in relation to the duration of the surgery and the amount of fluid given. In this study, the investigators aim is to examine how much the extra-articular fluid collects under the skin of the upper extremity and trunk, and the change in the amount of fluid 24 hours after surgery. Examination of the amount of subcutaneous fluid may help to better understand the postoperative complications such as edema, carpal tunnel syndrome, compartment syndrome, myolysis, and dyspnea. How much edema the joint and surrounding structures are exposed to and its relationship with the duration of surgery can help to clinicians determine the safe discharge time.

A Study to Test Whether Spesolimab Helps People With Generalized Pustular Psoriasis (GPP) Who Need Treatment for Repeated Flares

This study is open to adults with a serious skin disease called generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) who have repeated flares of GPP. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called spesolimab helps people with repeated flares of GPP. Participants are given a single dose of spesolimab as an infusion into a vein on the first day of an outbreak of GPP. They may be given a second dose 1 week later if doctors think it is helpful. They are also treated for additional GPP flares. During the time of the study, doctors regularly examine participants' skin for signs of GPP to see how well the treatment works and take blood samples. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.
