NCT ID: NCT04835649 Completed - Parkinson Disease Clinical Trials

The Effectiveness of Telerehabilitation in Improving Upper Extremity in Parkinson's Patients

Start date: April 15, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Parkinson's Disease (PD) is a disease that affects the functional skills of the upper extremity with clinical findings such as bradykinesia, rigidity, and hypokinesia and causes limitations in the daily life activities of the patients. Task-oriented training (TOT) is a highly individualized, client-centered, occupational therapy, functional-based intervention compatible with motor learning and motor control principles such as intensive motor training, variable practice, and intermittent feedback. Few studies have been found on the TOT of the upper extremity in PD. Telerehabilitation of Parkinson's patients shows many strengths, such as cost-related and time-dependent ease, and the possibility of telecommunication with clinicians. In addition, the refinement of digital health solutions with the goal to offer a patient-tailored intervention remains an ongoing process. There are a limited number of studies on TOT and telerehabilitation of the upper extremity in PD. In addition, no studies have been found applying TOT through telerehabilitation. For this purpose, a study including TOT-based telerehabilitation in upper extremity education in PD was planned.

NCT ID: NCT04835610 Completed - PVI Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of Finger and Forehead Plethysmographic Variability Index Monitoring in Pediatric Patients

Start date: January 20, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

In pediatric surgical patients, the sensitivity of forehead and finger PVI monitoring was similar for the prediction of fluid responsiveness, whereas the specificity of forehead monitoring was higher. The use of forehead PVI probes in the fluid management of these patients seemed to be appropriate because cephalic region was not affected by low perfusion states.

NCT ID: NCT04835558 Completed - Clinical trials for Obesity Hypoventilation Syndrome (OHS)

Respiratory Muscle Endurance in Obesity Hypoventilation Syndrome

Start date: February 5, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Obesity hypoventilation syndrome (OHS) is defined as a combination of obesity [body mass index (BMI) ≥30 kg/m2], chronic daytime hypercapnia (PaCO2 >45 mm Hg), and sleep-apnea in the absence of other known causes of hypercapnia. Respiratory system compliance decreases and resistance increases in OHS. This causes increase in work of breathing and oxygen cost of breathing, which may result in respiratory muscle fatigue. Increase in respiratory workload and increase in resistance to respiration is expected to decrease in respiratory muscle endurance (RME) in subjects with OHS.

NCT ID: NCT04835155 Completed - Premature Birth Clinical Trials

The Effect of The Premature Infant Oral Motorınterventıon on Suckıng Capacıty in Preterm Infants

Start date: May 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

ABSTRACT Objective: To test the effect of the Premature Infant Oral Motor Intervention (PIOMI) at 29-30 weeks post-menstrual age on the development of oral-motor function and sucking capacity. Study Design: This study was a single-blind randomized controlled experimental design. The sample consisted of 60 preterm babies from two Neonatal Intensive Care Units in Gaziantep, Turkey between May 2019 and March 2020, with 30 each in the control and experimental groups. The PIOMI was applied to the experimental group for five minutes a day for 14 consecutive days. Sucking capacity, growth, feeding outcomes, and length of hospital stay (LOS) were measured. The Yakut Manometer Measuring Suction Power (PCT/TR2019/050678) was developed specifically for this study and tested for the first time.

NCT ID: NCT04835077 Completed - Rehabilitation Clinical Trials

Aerobic Exercises and Postural Stabilization Exercises in Fibromyalgia Syndrome

Start date: April 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) is a chronic rheumatic disease characterized by a wide range of symptoms such as widespread muscle pain, fatigue, sleep disturbances, anxiety-depression, impaired balance, falling risk, poor physical condition, cognitive dysfunction, and irritable bowel syndrome. The aim of the study; It is a comparison of the effectiveness of aerobic exercises and postural stabilization exercises that are structured to reduce the pain severity, fatigue, sleep problems and anxiety-depression levels of patients who are being followed up with a diagnosis of FMS, and to increase the duration of physical activity and quality of life.

NCT ID: NCT04834895 Recruiting - Neck Pain Clinical Trials

Investigation of the Effectivenes of Digital Based Exercises in Patients With Neck Pain

Start date: February 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In study, the researchers examine the effectiveness of digital-based exercises in patients with chronic neck pain. The planned study has 2 main objectives: - Increase exercise adherence with mhealth apps. - To reduce pain and disability of patients with chronic neck pain.

NCT ID: NCT04834739 Completed - Covid19 Clinical Trials

Comparison of Functional Capacities of Healthcare Workers With and Without Covid-19

Start date: January 4, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aimed to investigate if the functional capacity of health workers sustained covid 19 infection effects functional capacity , quality of life and mood of health workers when comparing healthy health workers.

NCT ID: NCT04834492 Completed - Clinical trials for The Results of Total Hip Arthroplasty in Crowe Type 4 Dysplastic Hips

The Results of Total Hip Arthroplasty in Crowe Type 4 Hips.

Start date: July 15, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Total hip arthroplasty (THA) performed for developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) is a technically difficult procedure with a high complication rate, especially in the presence of completely dislocated hips. This study aimed to evaluate the results of at least 10 years of follow-up results of cementless, ceramic-on-ceramic (CoC) total hip arthroplasty performed with transverse subtrochanteric osteotomy in Crowe type 4 hips.

NCT ID: NCT04834219 Completed - Clinical trials for Myocardial Infarction

Off-Pump and On-Pump Techniques and Oxidative Stress in CABG Surgery

CABG
Start date: January 15, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

CABG (coronary artery bypass graft) surgery is among the most common heart surgeries performed in the heart pump. In CABG surgery, operations performed on the beating heart without the use of CPB (off-pump) are frequently performed (30-60%) (1). To the best of our knowledge, there has been no study examining cerebral oxygenation values, oxidative stress levels and postoperative results in CABG operations.

NCT ID: NCT04834141 Completed - Balance Clinical Trials

Correlation Between Thoracic Kyphosis Posture and Static Balance

Start date: October 13, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The effects of balanced posture and postural changes have been evaluated in specific populations with different factors that can affect body postures and balance, such as age, musculoskeletal system, and other metabolic diseases. Studies on postural kyphosis and balance involvement are very few in the literature especially in the health population. Of the few studies that have evaluated kyphosis and balance, most are limited by small sample size and the exclusion of men. Many have focused primarily on the geriatric population. The determination that the effect of thoracic kyphosis posture on trunk biomechanical alignment may be related to balance may contribute to new treatment recommendations in this area. The aim of this study is to investigate whether the thoracic kyphosis posture has an effect on static balance.
