There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study was conducted as a randomized controlled experimental study. This study was planned to determine the effects of chewing gum and using a stress ball on the perception of labor pain, duration of labor and birth satisfaction. The population of the study consisted of primiparous mothers who applied to the hospital. This study was planned to determine the effects of chewing gum and using a stress ball on the perception of labor pain, duration of labor and birth satisfaction. The study was carried out in two stages. In the first stage, the data were collected in the delivery room, and in the second stage, the postpartum satisfaction levels of the mothers were measured in the postpartum service. The sample number of the investigators' study was determined as 96. Visual analog scale, birth satisfaction scale and birth follow-up form were used for the data of our study.
For qualified nursing care, emotional intelligence skills of nurses should be developed during their vocational training. This research was carried out in order to develop and evaluate the Emotional Intelligence Training Program based on the Bar-On Emotional Intelligence Model for nursing students in line with Demirel's program development model.
These circadian rhythms are self-sustained, endogenous oscillations generated by circadian clocks that persist with a period of around 24 -h under constant conditions. Multiple clinical and foundational science studies report that circadian rhythm disruption can directly alter pain thresholds. Altered circadian pain rhythms manifest inconsistently in various disease states. circadian differences exist in tolerability of administration as well as in effectiveness of analgesia during surgical, obstetric, and dental procedures, with the majority of studies demonstrating highest pain sensitivity during the overnight or early morning hours. Although the relationship between pain states and circadian rhythm has been studied in various surgical procedures and chronic pain syndromes, there is little literature examining the relationship between postoperative pain and circadian rhythm in pediatric surgical procedures. Therefore, it was aimed to evaluate the relationship between postoperative pain and circadian rhythm after pediatric acute appendicitis surgery.
The main purpose of this research is to evaluate the effect of the nursing care that participants receive with the mobile health application for cervical cancer on raising awareness about cervical cancer. The study conducted through the mobile health application developed to raise awareness about cervical cancer; It is thought that it is important in terms of raising awareness of participants, easing the work-time burden of health personnel in this period, and reducing the cost of health care through early diagnosis and treatment, and will set an example for future studies. Positive outputs from the mobile application will allow the application to be used on national and international platforms.
The purpose of this study is to characterize the distribution of lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a)) levels among participants with a history of ASCVD as defined by their medical history and is 2-fold: - Evaluate the distribution of Lp(a) value in the overall participants with documented history of ASCVD - Evaluate the distribution of Lp(a) value in participants with documented history of ASCVD by demographics and regions
Colonoscopy is a common procedure to evaluate the gastrointestinal tract. The colonoscopy procedure can sometimes be uncomfortable and painful for the patient. The aim of this study was to compare the effects on pain and anxiety of distraction methods used during colonoscopy. Single centre, randomized, parallel-group trial. Endoscopy unit of a training and research hospital in northern Turkey A total of 120 patients were recruited and randomized into four groups as music, stress ball, video, and control group. The data were collected using Visual Analog Scale for pain and satisfaction, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for anxiety, and hemodynamic parameters. Data collection continues
Cardiovascular diseases are among the important health problems due to their increasing frequency and extensity in developed and developing countries. The most common method of treating cardiovascular diseases is Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) surgery. Common pain, sleep problems, and anxiety after CABG surgery can cause delay in postoperative recovery both physically and mentally. The study was planned to evaluate the effect of lavender oil inhalation on pain, anxiety level and sleep quality after CABG surgery.
The research will be carried out in two phases in order to verify the Turkish validity and reliability of the "Feeling Good, Living Life" (FGLL) Scale and to determine the effect of the diary kept using the spiritual writing technique on the anxiety and spiritual well-being level of the children aged 9-12 years who have been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. The first phase of the research was carried out methodologically in Kartal Yavuz Selim Secondary School and Kartal Borsa Imam Hatip Secondary School in Kartal District of Istanbul Province between November-December 2021 for the Turkish validity and reliability study of the FGLL Scale. It has been determined that FGLL can be used as a valid and reliable tool for children aged 9-12 in Turkish society. In the second phase of the study, it was decided to conduct it at Kartal Dr. Lütfi Kırdar City Hospital in order to reach children between the ages of 9 and 12 who were diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, and necessary permissions were obtained from the institutions. Istanbul/Kartal Dr. Sample calculations were made with the G*Power 3.1 program in children diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, who applied to the Lütfi Kırdar City Hospital Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases Outpatient Clinic. It was calculated that a total of 89 people in three groups, 28/30 people in the groups, should be reached (n=89). The data in the second phase of the study were "Introductory Information Form for Children Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes", "Feeling Good-Living Life Scale" and "State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children", "What Did You Feel Today? Spiritual Diary" and "What Did You Do Today?Diary" It will be obtained through.
With aging, deterioration in sleep structure and balance occurs. In particular, individuals over the age of 65 often have sleep problems, and non-pharmacological methods used to solve this problem are much more reliable than pharmacological methods. It is important for nurses who contribute most to their care to regulate and facilitate sleep, which is one of the basic needs of people. Thanks to this study, it is planned to solve the sleep-related problems of elderly individuals by using the sedative and relaxing effect of the lavender plant, which is used in many areas, thus increasing their quality of life, and it is planned to prevent falls by increasing their physical balance controls. This study aims to determine the effect of lavender scent recommended for the elderly in Konya on sleep quality and physical balance. This research is a randomized experimental design with pretest-posttest control group. The research is planned to be carried out between January 2023 and November 2023. The population of the research consists of elderly individuals living in society. In order to determine the sample size, power analysis will be made using the G-Power (v3.1.9.2) program. Personal Information Form and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index will be used in data collection. The data obtained as a result of the research; It will be analyzed with IBM SPSS program. p<0.05 will be considered statistically significant.
Non spesific cervical pain syndromes are the most common cervical pathologies encountered in clinical practice. Non spesific cervical pain syndrome occurs as a result of postural deformities. Massage and mobilization techniques are used in the treatment of Non spesific cervical pain syndrome due to their analgesic effects. The Cyriax mobilization technique is a manual therapy method applies to correct the limitation of movement in the joint and to relieve pain and functional disorders. Many studies have shown that Cyriax mobilization technique provides faster and momentary painless joint movement compared to other physical therapy modalities. Cervical mobilisation techniques also have regulator effect on autonomic nerve system. Cervical mobilisation also has positive effects on anxiety and tension.
