There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
In our study, we aimed to evaluate the effects of core stabilization exercises added to traditional Kegel exercises on incontinence and quality of life in women with stress and stress dominant mixed urinary incontinence.
The aim of this study to investigate 24 hours of effects of remedial exercises with and without compression therapy on severity of lymphedema and symptoms of the lymphedema The present study is designed as a non-drug clinical trial. The patients will complete two remedial exercise sessions, one without and one with compression in a randomized order separated by a 3-day wash-out period. The main questions it aims to answer are 1. The 24 hour effects of remedial exercises with and without compression therapy on the severity of lymphedema are different in individuals with lymphedema associated with breast cancer surgery. 2. The 24 hour effects of remedial exercises with and without compression therapy on the symptoms of lymphedema are different in individuals with lymphedema associated with breast cancer surgery.
The purpose of this study is to compare pembrolizumab (MK-3475) in combination with sacituzumab govitecan with pembrolizumab alone with respect to progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors Version 1.1 (RECIST 1.1) as assessed by blinded independent central review (BICR) among adults with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) tumor proportion score (TPS) ≥50%).
Occupational competence indicates participating in a variety of occupations to meet the standards expected of the individuals' valued roles to sustain a pattern of occupational attitudes that is significant and satisfying. Physical performance declines with age. This causes problems with balance and falling. Balance and falling losses can also affect occupation. Our study was conducted to examine the relationship between physical performance and occupational balance in elderly individuals. According to the power analysis, it is planned to include the individual in the study. Individuals will only be evaluated and the relationship between scale results will be analyzed statistically.
The aim of this research is to determine the effect of hot water foot bath applied in the early period after cesarean section on pain, fatigue and gas release. The sample of the research consisted of 80 women who gave birth by cesarean section. 'Descriptive Information Form', 'Numerical Rating Scale', 'Visual Analogue Scale for Fatigue', 'Experimental Group Patient Follow-up Form', 'Control Group Patient Follow-up Form' were used as data collection tools. It was determined that the hot water foot bath applied in the early period after cesarean section reduced the level of pain and fatigue, and had no effect on gas release.
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) is the most common type of arthritis that affects children. The term "idiopathic" means "of unknown origin". It is a chronic (long-lasting) disease that causes swelling, warmth, and pain of one or more small joints. Systemic JIA ia a rare and serious form of JIA. Systemic" means it may affect not only the joints but other parts of the body, including the liver, lungs and heart. sJIA is more severe and can be more challenging to diagnose and treat than other types of juvenile idiopathic arthritis. It is a lifelong disease for many patients and can continue into adulthood. This study will assess how safe and effective upadacitinib is in treating pediatric and adolescent participants aged 1 to < 18 with systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (sJIA) and will include a tocilizumab treatment arm for reference. Adverse events and change in the disease activity will be assessed. Upadacitinib is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of sJIA. Participants are assigned to 1 of 2 cohorts. In cohort 1, participants will receive upadacitinib or tocilizumab reference. In cohort 2, participants will receive upadacitinib. Approximately 90 participants with sJIA will be enrolled in approximately 45 sites worldwide. Participants will receive upadacitinib oral tablets once daily or oral solution twice daily or tocilizumab subcutaneous injection or intravenous infusion as per local label for 52 weeks and followed for approximately 30 days. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits/calls during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.
The aim of this study is to examine the effect of using foot-ankle orthosis at different angles on hyperextension control in stroke patients. The hypotheses of the study are: Hypothesis 1: Ho: The foot-ankle orthosis, which fixes the ankle at different angles (3 degrees of dorsiflexion - 5 degrees of dorsiflexion) in stroke patients, has no effect on the control of knee hyperextension. H1: Foot-ankle orthosis, which fixes the ankle at different angles (3 degrees of dorsiflexion - 5 degrees of dorsiflexion) in stroke patients, has an effect on the control of knee hyperextension.
The aim of this interventional study is to determine the effect of the mobile application on quality of life and supportive care in patient undergoing stem cell transplantation. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. What is the effect of the education given with the mobile application on the quality of life of stem cell transplant patients? 2. What is the effect of the education given with the mobile application on supportive care of stem cell transplant patients? 3. What is the effect of the education given with the mobile application on anxiety levels of stem cell transplant patients? In the study, patients will be randomized into the group in which standard processes are applied and the group trained by the mobile application.
There is still no approved exact treatment for stroke, one of the leading causes of disability. Neurorehabilitation is an important treatment option for stroke patients with anatomical and functional impairments in their interhemispheric connections. However, special techniques with high effectiveness are being investigated to increase the success of general rehabilitation. In this context, scapula-focused stabilization techniques have been used in stroke patients recently. In this randomized controlled study, investigators aimed to examine the effect of scapular stabilization exercises on upper extremity spasticity and motor function in addition to neurorehabilitation in patients with chronic stroke. 22 chronic stroke patients will be included in the study. The patients will be divided into two groups as scapular exercise group and control group using the simple randomization method. Scapular stabilization exercises will be applied in combination with neurorehabilitation to the first group, while only neurorehabilitation will be applied to the control group. A 6-week (30 sessions) neurorehabilitation program will be applied to all groups, specially planned for the patient. Spasticity of the patients participating in the study Modified Ashworth Scale, upper extremity recovery levels Brunnstrom Recovery Stage, upper extremity functions Fugl Meyer Upper Extremity Scale and Wolf Motor Function Test, independence levels Functional Independence Scale , activities of daily living will be evaluated with the Modified Barthel Index and quality of life will be evaluated with the Stroke Specific Quality of Life Scale. The first evaluation of the patients will be made before the treatment, and each patient will be evaluated after the 6-week exercise program. After all data are collected, in-group and intergroup comparisons will be made.
The aim of our study is to examine the effects of eight sessions of online social skills training given to visually impaired adolescents on social skills, self-efficacy, social phobia and social integration. Forty visually impaired adolescents between the ages of 13 and 19 participated in the study. Participants were divided into control and training groups. 20 adolescents were included in the education program. All participants included in the study were evaluated using the Sociodemographic Information Form, Social Skills Assessment Scale for Children, General Self-Efficacy Scale, Child and Adolescent Social Phobia Scale, and Social Integration Questionnaire.
