NCT ID: NCT05636475 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

The Effect Of Machine-Based And Manually Applied Hand Massage On Pain, Anxiety And Gastrointestinal System Functions After Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Surgery

Start date: October 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Introduction: As after almost every surgical procedure, changes in the patient's system functions, acute pain and an increase in anxiety level occur after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Uncontrolled pain and anxiety slows down the healing process, increases the possibility of opioid use and the risk of undesirable side effects, and increases mortality, and prolongs hospital discharge. Objective: The aim of the thesis study is to evaluate the effect of machine-based and manual hand massage applied in the postoperative period on pain, anxiety and gastrointestinal system functions in patients who have undergone laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Method: In the study planned as a randomized controlled experimental study; There will be 3 groups, 57 patients in each group, including the experimental groups and the control group, who have undergone laparoscopic cholecystectomy and hospitalized in the General Surgery Clinic of Bartın State Hospital, where machine-based and manual hand massage will be applied. In addition to the analgesic treatment requested by the physician at the 0th, 4th and 8th hours after the surgery, the experimental groups will be given 10 minutes of hand massage to each hand, and only the requested treatment will be applied to the control group. After the applications, the changes in the pain and anxiety levels of the patients as well as the effects on the gastrointestinal system functions will be recorded. 'Data Collection Form', 'Numerical Rating Scale', 'State-Trait Anxiety Scale' and 'Gastrointestinal functions monitoring form' will be used to collect the data and the data will be analyzed in SPSS 22.0 program.

NCT ID: NCT05636449 Completed - Analgesia Clinical Trials

Suprainguinal Fascia Iliaca Block vs. Periarticular Injection for Total Knee Arthroplasty

Start date: November 25, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Total knee replacement (total knee arthroplasty) is performed to resurface a knee damaged by arthritis and relieve pain in patients with severely damaged knee joints. Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is associated with severe postoperative pain, and the management of postoperative pain continues to evolve with the advancement of surgical techniques and pharmacological treatments. Femoral, lateral femoral cutaneous nerve and obturator nerve block is provided with suprainguinal fascia iliaca plan block, which is used for postoperative analgesia, especially in hip surgeries. In this way, the investigators think it can be used as a part of multimodal analgesia in total knee arthroplasty surgery.

NCT ID: NCT05636280 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Scoliosis Idiopathic

The Effect of Schroth Exercises on Abdominal Muscle Thickness

NCT ID: NCT05635981 Completed - Clinical trials for Non Carious Cervical Lesion

Effect of an Additional Hydrophobic Adhesive Layer Application on the Class V Composite Restorations

Start date: January 20, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In restorative dentistry, to enhance bond strength between dentin and simplified adhesive systems, new materials or applications are constantly being developed all the time. In order to create a better hybrid layer quality, modifications are made to the chemical contents and application methods of the adhesives. For inhibition or slow down of collagen or resin matrix degradation at the adhesive interface, procedures like using protease enzyme inhibitors or additional hydrophobic layer applications are tested by in vitro and in vivo studies. The main goal of this double-blind randomized clinical trial is to evaluate the 18-month clinical performances of two different one-step dentin adhesives that were applied alone or with an additional hydrophobic adhesive layer to non-carious cervical lesions. The hypotheses are that (1) Additional Hydrophobic Adhesive layer application can provide better clinical performance in class V restorations and, (2) the HEMA content will cause statistically different clinical performances.

NCT ID: NCT05635682 Recruiting - Opioid Use Disorder Clinical Trials

Investigation of the Relationship Between Different Assesments in Individuals in Opioid Maintenance Treatment Process

Start date: August 15, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Opioid use disorder is the chronic use of opioids that causes clinically significant distress or impairment. More than 16 million people world wide are opioid addicts. The diagnosis of opioid use disorder is based on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5). Despite the social and personal consequences of opioid use disorder in individuals; It consists of an excessive desire to use opioids, increased opioid tolerance, and withdrawal syndrome when discontinued. Examples of opioids include heroin, morphine, codeine, synthetic opioids such as fentanyl and oxycodone. In many countries, the main pharmacological approach in the treatment of opioid use disorder is maintenance therapy using opioid agonists. The combination of buprenorphine and naloxone is one of the most effective agents used in maintenance therapy. Due to the effects of both opioid use and maintenance therapy, these individuals have sensory problems, balance and gait disturbances, and a prolonged reaction time. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between sensation, balance, gait, posture and reaction time in individuals on opioid maintenance therapy and to compare them with healthy individuals.
