There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Regulation of sexual functions without hormonal support in order to correct the sexual dysfunctions in women with the estrogen hormone lost in the menopausal process. Recently, the reaction to hormonal treatments and the fact that patients with a family history of breast cancer or gynecological cancer cannot receive hormonal treatment have been the reason for applying to alternative treatments. Lubricant treatments are among the treatments that patients have compliance problems in the long term and avoid due to the difficulty of application. Correcting female sexual dysfunctions and post-menopausal women's right to want to feel sexually healthy are the most natural rights. Because sexual dysfunctions cause physiological and psychological problems in women. Thanks to the laser treatment, it is aimed to eliminate the atrophy and sexual dysfunctions of women, thanks to the application of approximately 2 sessions without the need for long-term medication.
The aim of the study is to investigate Turkish validity and reliability of Marx Activity Rating Scale for patients with knee disorders.
The aim of the study is to compare the effectiveness of the classical (2-4 points to the muscle proximal) application of botulinum toxin in the treatment of spasticity with the application along the length of the gastrecnemius muscle. The main question it aims to answer Is botulinum toxin more effective in the treatment of spasticity than the classical application applied along the length of the gastrocnemius muscle? Participants will be evaluated for spasticity before and 1 month after injection. Researchers will compare classical versus application along the length of the muscle to see if there is a reduction in spasticity.
Occupational competence indicates participating in a variety of occupations to meet the standards expected of the individuals' valued roles to sustain a pattern of occupational attitudes that is significant and satisfying. Physical performance declines with age. This causes problems with balance and falling. Balance and falling losses can also affect occupation. Our study was conducted to examine the relationship between physical performance and occupational balance in elderly individuals. According to the power analysis, it is planned to include the individual in the study. Individuals will only be evaluated and the relationship between scale results will be analyzed statistically.
The aim of this study is to characterize the distribution of pain phenotypes in people with chronic low back pain and to determine the effects of pain phenotypes on pain severity, functional status and quality of life. Participants will be examined to determine the type of pain and questions will be asked to identify the effects.
Aromatherapy is the science of using high concentrated essential oils or essences with distilled high concentration of plants to take advantage of therapeutic properties '' . Essential oils or essences are obtained from various parts of plants (root, leaf, flower, shell, fruit) and therapeutically used for physical and psychological favors. The aromatherapine is a noninvasive process and the convenience of use allows the widespread use of aromatherapy. Aromatic oils can be applied in four basic ways. These are topical (tap, compressed or bath), internal (mouthwash, vaginal or anal wick), mouth (with capsules or honey, alcohol or diluent) and inhalation (inhalation directly or indirectly, steam or vapor ) is the way . Volatile oils that can be applied in various means can reach the neocortex part of the brain directly with the links to the hypothalamus from the limbic system. As a result of the impact of aromatic oils on the central nervous system, relief, sedation or stimulating effects are formed and the energy blockage in the body is broken, due to the information stream reaching the brain with the warning of the central nervous system and the resulting energy is exposed. The improvement process is supported by its exposed energy stream in a balanced way of the relevant organs, and the state of physical and spiritual goodness is emerged. Aromatherapy is also used in the field of women's health as well as many health areas.
Although PCOS has been known for many years, its etiology and treatment are not clearly known. The prevalence of PCOS varies between populations. It is a familial endocrinolpathology with a chronic course, multifactorial, polygenic feature seen with an average prevalence of 6-8% in women in the reproductive period.Chronic inflammation is involved in the pathophysiology of many chronic diseases. PCOS, which is a proinflammatory condition, has been associated with insulin resistance and hyperandrogenism in previous studies. Omega-3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory, anti-thrombotic, anti-arrhythmic properties, reducing lipid levels such as serum triglyceride and LDL cholesterol, and having positive effects on the immune system. Therefore, their deficiencies include fatigue, joint pain, frequent infections, etc. is seen. Omega-6 fatty acids have the opposite effect. DHA is a member of the omega-3 fatty acids family. Dietary components play an important role in chronic inflammation. According to our literature review, there is no study that detects docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) levels in blood and cervical mucus samples in patients with PCOS. We think that we will contribute to the diagnosis and treatment processes of PCOS patients by detecting DHA levels in this study. In this study, we aim to compare the values of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) in serum and cervical mucus samples in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome with the control group.
The primary aim of the study is to investigate the effects of supervised exercise, telerehabilitation and home-based exercise on patient perception in patients with soft tissue sarcoma. The secondary aim of the study is to identify the barriers to starting exercise in these patients.
In this study, between 15 November 2022 - 15 November 2023, who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 82 patients who are on the 2nd or 3rd day after the surgery and who are hospitalized in the cardiovascular surgery intensive care clinic will be recruited.
This clinical study will be conducted with funding from European Innovation Council(EIC) after approval of the fund grant and is part of our organization's European Pathfinder Project(Ref: HORIZON-EIC-2022-PATHFINDERCHALLENGES-01). The clinical study step of this project will be started in a retrospective time prospective manner by gathering the phenotypic(clinical measuring factors) data from patients who underwent ICD implantation therapy. The study will be done as a case-control type in which patients who did not get any shocks in 6 months post-implantation will be allocated to the control group. A customized and highly specific cardiogenomics panel will be designed and ordered to be specially manufactured as a standard kit by Illumina® (San Diego, California, U.S.) following an exhaustive investigation for collecting genetic variants which correlated to cardiovascular development. Mentioned kit bears the standard and validated technology which is part of the genetic tests routine and is being produced by Illumina® incorporate. However, as an option manufacturer is designing custom kits for research purposes by getting the desired variant lists using the same technology. Accordingly, enrolled patients in the study will be prospectively sampled ( Non-Invasive saliva sampling) for getting genetically analysed by Illumina®'s Infinium Assay Microarray platform with fully customized 700,000 single nucleotide polymorphism kits. The result of this sampling will be data and statistically analysed in a genome-wide association study(GWAS) manner by considering the 5x10-8 p.value and will be associated with each phenotypic parameter. Accordingly, the study will assess the genetic risk stratification in ICD patients in a much more detailed fashion. Following this assessment genophenotypic statistical analysed will be done to combine both parameters and generate a formula for scoring the indicator factors based on each odds ratio. Correspondingly, this new scaling formula will be analysed, verified and validated further by a randomized sampling of the population in our study before being stated. Additionally, This study will not only help to improve current genetic polymorphism clinal significant status (pathogenicity and significance of variant) but also can associate new markers with high significance that can be directly used in clinical screening, diagnosis or clinical approaches.
