There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
By using Mechanical Power and Driving Pressure instead of Pmean we calculate new oxygen saturation indices like Driving Pressure Oxygen Index (OIDP), Dynamic Power Oxygen Index (OIMPdyn), Total Power Oxygen Index (OIMPtot), Driving Pressure Saturation Index (OSIDP), Dynamic Power Saturation Index (OSIMPdyn) ve Power Saturation Index (OSIMPtot). New oxygenation and saturation indices are able to predict ICU mortality better than the conventional indexes and rates.
It is important that effective intervention programs are developed and implemented in our country by identifying risk factors in the early period. In this aspect, the work is unique. Unlike the studies in the literature, it is a unique study in terms of determining the risky population that needs to be questioned and strengthened during the prenatal attachment of expectant mothers during pregnancy, and creating a program where mothers can receive uninterrupted support for 24 hours.
This is a non-invasive prospective study investigating the effects of balance discs with different surfaces used in balance education in children with cerebral palsy on proprioceptive sense and balance.
Purpose: In the study , it was aimed to determine the effect of ice massage applied to SP6 point during labor on labor pain, labor comfort, labor duration, and anxiety. Design: A single blind, randomized controlled experimental trial Setting and Participants: 100 primiparas, 50 in the intervention group and 50 in the control group, with 4-5 cm cervical dilatations were included in the study. Ice massage was applied to the SP6 point of the pregnant women in the intervention group at 4-5 cm, 6-7 cm, and 8-9 cm dilatations during three contractions. Measurement Tools: The Pregnant Information Form, VAS, the Partograph Form, Childbirth Comfort Questionnaire (CCQ), and the State Anxiety Scale were used to collect data.
The purpose of this study is to determine the etiological factors that constitute bilateral vestibular hypofunction and to investigate the effect of vestibular rehabilitation in these patients. The Caloric test and Video Head Impulse test were applied to evaluate the vestibular hypofunction picture of the patients who applied to Clinic with complaints of vertigo, dizziness and imbalance. Among these patients with BVH, those with vestibular symptoms, imbalance complaints and limited daily living activities were included in rehabilitation. In order to investigate the effectiveness of rehabilitation, oculomotor functions were evaluated using Simulation Of Vestibulo-ocular Reflex Exercises (SVORE) System, balance assessment was done with timed balance tests and quality of life assessment was performed with Dizziness Handicap Inventory.
Summary Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the effect of health education supported by motivational interviewing on drug therapy compliance of patients with COVID-19 who are followed at home. Materials and Methods: 100 participants with a diagnosis of COVID-19 followed at home were divided into intervention (50) and control (50) groups by block randomization method. The data at the beginning of the study were obtained with the Introductory Information Form (16 questions). At the end of the study, the Medication Compliance Notification Scale and the level of satisfaction with medication (1 question) questionnaire were applied to the participants. The "Medicine Calendar" was used to track the drug use status of all participants. In the study, while the control group received standard COVID-19 drug therapy, in addition to the standard treatment to the intervention group; On the second day of the treatment, health education supplemented with motivational interviewing was conducted online. Results: At the end of the study, it was found that the mean score of drug compliance (16.12±5.37) of the participants in the intervention group was higher than the mean score of the participants in the control group (9.96±5.62) (p<0.05). The mean score of drug compliance (16.12±5.37) of the participants in the intervention group at the end of the study was higher than the mean score at the beginning of the study (11.02±4.03) (p<0.05). The mean adherence score of the control group at the end of the study (9.96±5.62) was found to be lower than the mean score of adherence (11.40±4.93) at the beginning of the study (p<0.05). At the end of the study, when the participants in the intervention group were examined, it was seen that they were higher than the participants in the control group. Conclusion: At the end of the study; The mean score of the intervention group's medication adherence scale increased significantly compared to the control group receiving standard medication; it was evaluated that this increase did not reach the desired level. This situation revealed how important the motivational interview-based health education given by nurses is in increasing drug compliance.
This research 34.-36. is carried out as a randomized controlled experimental design in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the supplemental feeding system to improve the early feeding skills of preterm infants receiving care in the neonatal intensive care unit at the gestational week. The universe of this research will consist of preterm infants hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care of Sanlıurfa Training and Research Hospital between July 2022 and April 2023. The sample size in the study was "H00: There is no difference between preterm infants with supplemental feeding system and preterm infants fed with bottle in terms of early feeding skills." According to the hypothesis G*Power Version 3.1.9.2 (Franz Foul, Universitat Kiel, Germany) was calculated in the program. In order to determine the difference between the groups, the number of groups is 2; number of repeated measurements 3; correlation between repeated measurements 0.5; Cohen* effect size 0.25; The statistical power was determined as a sample size of 44 preterm infants, 22 of whom were fed with supplemental feeding system and 22 of whom were fed with bottle, with 95% and type 1 error of 5%. and infants assigned to groups by randomization method. Randomization in the study determined by entering the total number of cases through the program http://www.randomizer.org. Through this program, the infants forming the sample group randomly distributed to two groups and randomization made.
Nursing is a scientific discipline based on professional values, principles and standards. Nursing care is a holistic and continuous approach. Therefore, nurses spend more time interacting with patients or healthy individuals than other healthcare professionals. Effective and quality nursing care depends on professional attitudes, perceptions and satisfaction. Movies are recognized as effective educational resources to encourage the retention of knowledge and the development of desired behaviors. Therefore, in this study, it is aimed to determine the effect of movies about the profession on the professional pride of nursing students.
Postoperative pain following abdominal hysterectomy is a challenging concern as some patients suffer acute pain that could let to chronic pain over time following the surgery. Epidural analgesia which is the gold standard for postoperative pain management in abdominal surgeries including abdominal hysterectomy has side effects such as hypotension, hematoma, motor weakness of lower limbs, paresthesia, intrathecal placement of the epidural catheter and urinary retention that could prolong hospital stay. Since high frequency ultrasound machines' usage has increased in postoperative analgesia management, ultrasound guided fascial plane blocks has been performed by clinicians with high success rate. To avoid possible complications of epidural catheter placement and epidural analgesia, various techniques has been applying for an analgesic effect close to the effectiveness of epidural analgesia. These techniques include transversus abdominis plane block, rectus sheath block, wound infiltration of local anesthetics, erector spinae plane block and quadratus lumborum plane block. However, each of the plane blocks has limitations individually which prevent them to be the unique analgesic technique for postoperative analgesia following abdominal surgery. As far as the authors knowledge, there's no reported study which compares ultrasound guided erector spinae plane block versus ultrasound guided quadratus lumborum type III block (anterior quadratus lumborum block) as a preemptive analgesia technique in patients undergoing abdominal hysterectomy.
This descriptive longitudinal study aimed to investigate the retention force of implant-supported overdentures applied to edentulous individuals at Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry, examine the retention force and its time-dependent change, and evaluate patient satisfaction.
