There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) 9 from the BMP family has an important role in the remodeling of bone and cartilage. Due to these features, BMP9 can play an important role in especially anaerobic exercise training adaptations. However, the role of anaerobic exercise in these effects is still unclear. The aim of this study is to investigate the role of BMP9 on the effects of acute and chronic anaerobic exercise on bone metabolism markers. Postprandial venous blood samples were taken pre- and post- acute YOYO intermittent recovery test (level 1) in 40 trained male athletes aged 18-35 who did anaerobic sports (such as basketball, volleyball and handball) and 41 sedentary volunteers aged 18-35. Serum BMP9, as markers of bone formation and resorption; alkaline phosphatase (ALP), C-terminal telopeptide of type 1 collagen (CTX1), cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) and calcium levels were determined. The data to be obtained as a result of our study can give information about the relationship between the skeletal and bone health of the athletes and anaerobic exercise.
The primary objective is to compare pembrolizumab plus paclitaxel with or without bevacizumab to placebo plus paclitaxel with or without bevacizumab, with respect to progression-free survival (PFS) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) 1.1 as assessed by the investigator. The hypotheses are that pembrolizumab plus paclitaxel with or without bevacizumab is superior to placebo plus paclitaxel with or without bevacizumab, with respect to PFS per RECIST 1.1 as assessed by the investigator for participants with programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) positive tumors (Combined Positive Score [CPS] ≥1) and that pembrolizumab plus paclitaxel with or without bevacizumab is superior to placebo plus paclitaxel with or without bevacizumab, with respect to PFS per RECIST 1.1 as assessed by the investigator for all participants.
This is a Phase I/IIa dose-escalation study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy of an allogeneic Mesenchymal Stem Cell (Descartes-25) product secreting a bispecific protein and other proteins in patients with Relapsed/Refractory Multiple Myeloma.
The aim of this study is to investigate the possible effects of inspiratory muscle training (IMT) on respiratory functions, functional capacity, balance and quality of life in patients with interstitial lung disease.
Abstract Implementation of Physical Activity Counseling Program in Healthy Adult Individuals It was planned to investigate the effects of physical activity counseling on physical fitness level, physical activity level, depression level, sleep quality, quality of life and the change in the number of daily steps. 48 healthy adults aged 18-65 years will be included in the study. Participants will be randomized to the experimental group receiving videoconferencing counseling for eight weeks and the control group receiving single-session informational counseling. Participants will be evaluated with online questionnaires and physical fitness tests during the video conference before the study begins, at the end of the first month and at the end of the second month. Online surveys to be applied; PACE Score, Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q), Short Form International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ-SF), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PUKI), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale-Short Form ( WHOQOL-BREF) and physical fitness tests; Plank Test, Curl Up Test, Modified Push Up Test and Squat Test. Demographic information of the participants such as age, weight, height will be recorded. In addition, all participants will record their step counts with the pedometer application they download to their phones one week before the study starts and for one week after the study ends.
Gestational diabetes (GDM) is defined as 'pregnancy-onset or first noticed glucose intolerance'. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of circuit exercise program applied in addition to diet therapy on cognitive function, functional exercise capacity, mobility, depression and quality of life in women with gestational diabetes. 60 female participants between the ages of 18-35 who meet the inclusion criteria will be included in the study. Participants will be randomly divided into 2 groups as diet group (n=30) and exercise group (n=30). All participants will receive GDM-specific dietary therapy for 6 weeks. In addition to diet therapy, individuals in the exercise group will be given a circuit exercise program for 6 weeks. Participants will be evaluated for blood values, cognitive status and functionality at the baseline and 6 weeks later.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of vericiguat in participants with chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), specifically those with symptomatic chronic HFrEF who have not had a recent hospitalization for heart failure or need for outpatient intravenous (IV) diuretics. The primary hypothesis is that vericiguat is superior to placebo in reducing the risk of cardiovascular death or heart failure hospitalization.
Study GO43104 is a Phase III, randomized, open-label, multicenter study of lurbinectedin in combination with atezolizumab compared with atezolizumab alone administered as maintenance therapy in participants with extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) after first-line induction therapy with carboplatin, etoposide, and atezolizumab. The study consists of 2 phases: an induction phase and a maintenance phase. Participants need to have an ongoing response or stable disease per the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumor (RECIST) v1.1 criteria after completion of 4 cycles of carboplatin, etoposide, and atezolizumab induction treatment in order to be considered for eligibility screening for the maintenance phase. Eligible participants will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive either lurbinectedin plus atezolizumab or atezolizumab in the maintenance phase.
The goal of this clinical study is to compare the study drug, sacituzumab govitecan-hziy (SG), versus docetaxel in participants with advanced or metastatic (cancer that has spread) non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
The purpose of AROAPOC3-3001 is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ARO-APOC3 plozasiran) in adult participants with familial chylomicronemia syndrome (FCS). Participants who have met all eligibility criteria will be randomized to receive 4 doses of plozasiran or matching placebo administered subcutaneously. Participants who complete the randomized period will continue in a 2-year open-label extension period where all participants will receive plozasiran.
