There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The goal of this observational study is to learn about in former COVID-19 patients. The main questions it aims to answer are: - are there any association among pain, fear of falling, fall frequency, and physical activity level - are there any difference between former COVID-19 elders and non-COVID-19 elderly population
This study will be conducted in a randomized, controlled and experimental manner with patients with hematological malignancies admitted to the Adult Bone Marrow Transplant unit and Hematology-Oncology unit of Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital after obtaining the necessary permissions. The number of patients to be included in the study will be determined by power analysis. The study will include patients who are willing to participate, have no communication problems, are 18 years of age or older, and have no known allergy to lavender oil. Patients with allergies, drug addiction and refusal to participate in the study will not be included in the study. Before the study, patients will be divided into intervention and control groups using a simple random number table. At the beginning of the study, a form including socio-demographic and disease information, Richard Campbell Sleep Quality Scale and Piper Fatigue Scale will be evaluated. Two different options will be used to prevent findings. The first group will be treated with lavender oil and the second group will be treated with saline and 2 drops will be placed on the patient's shoulder 20 minutes before bedtime every night. The application will be started simultaneously with the chemotherapy and will continue until the end of chemotherapy treatment. Sleep and fatigue will be assessed daily using the Richard Campbell Sleep Quality Scale and Piper Fatigue Scale.
In our retrospective study, it was aimed to determine the frequency of anemia in non-emergency patients over the age of 18 who applied to the Anesthesiology and Reanimation Department of our hospital.
The aim of this study is to examine the effect of virtual reality application on fistula puncture-related pain (FPi-A) in hemodialysis patients. Hypotheses of the Research: H0-1: Virtual reality application has an effect on fistula puncture-related pain in HD patients. H1-2: Virtual reality application has no effect on fistula puncture-related pain in HD patients. In the study, virtual reality will be applied in the fistula puncture procedure in patients receiving hemodialysis treatment.
Oxygen therapy is the most common treatment modality for patients with hypoxemia in intensive care units, but target values for normoxemia are not clearly defined. Therefore, iatrogenic hyperoxemia is a very common situation. In intensive care units, FiO2 is usually adjusted according to hypoxia and hyperoxia is ignored in patients under mechanical ventilator support. Even though there are many side effects reported related to hyperoxemia and hyperoxemia is shown to be related to worse outcome than expected; clinicians still observe hyperoxemia frequently. Continuous ORi monitoring can be used for detecting and preventing hyperoxia. The ability to perform FiO2 titration with ORi may be an appropriate monitoring management to prevent the harmful effects of hyperoxia. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effectiveness of ORi-guided FiO2 titration in preventing hyperoxia in patients undergoing mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit and to determine the incidence of hyperoxia.
The goal of this observational study is to assess the accuracy of Artificial Intelligence (AI) software to assist ultrasound scanning prior to peripheral nerve blocks. 40 healthy volunteers are going to be accepted to this study in which ultrasound scanning will be performed for four different block types. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Can Nerveblox, the artificial intelligence software highlight and find the key anatomical landmarks on the provided nerve or plane block correctly? - Can the user obtain a correct view of provided nerve or plane block, when the AI software scan success reaches 100%? Participants will be evaluated under four nerve block regions to identify their key anatomical landmarks using ultrasound-guided artificial intelligence software. Three residents with different levels of Ultrasound-guided Regional Anesthesia(UGRA) experience but eligible to perform UGRA techniques will collect the ultrasound images when the artificial intelligence software scan success fed by ultrasound reached 100%. After collecting US images, each pair of US images(highlighted and raw ) will be evaluated by 2 experts for the accuracy of AI assistance, independently and blindly.
Basketball is an aerobic-based anaerobic sport that calls for both high-intensity movements like jumping (for rebounds, blocks, and shots), spins, dribbling, sprinting, and screening and low-intensity movements like walking, stopping, and running. This sport requires sudden and fast movements where jumping performance is often a decisive factor for sporting success and Whether crouching in a defensive situation or throwing a long pass, a player needs to have a sufficient level of flexibility for adequate efficiency. Fascia connects the structures of the body with muscles, nerves and blood vessels. Limitations may occur due to injury. These limitations can reduce flexibility, strength, endurance and coordination. Therefore, this study aims to compare the acute effects of manual and self-myofascial release on flexibility and jump performance in basketball players. The secondary aim was to examine the acute improvements in flexibility and jump performance after myofascial therapy.
This research will be carried out to determine the effects of technology-based cognitive and artistic therapeutic activities on the mental state of children receiving cancer treatment. The research will be conducted in a single-blind parallel group randomized controlled trial design. A program consisting of six two-week sessions will be implemented. The program will include many artistic activities such as therapeutic and drawing.
This research will be carried out to determine the effect of the relaxation program applied to the caregivers of children followed by the diagnosis of cancer on the levels of caregivers' anxiety and coping with stress. The research will be conducted in a single-blind parallel-group randomized controlled trial design. A relaxation program including progressive muscle relaxation exercises will be applied to caregivers. The application will be carried out by sending muscle relaxation videos and videos for relaxation to mothers. The relaxation program is planned to last approximately 6 weeks
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the use of clinical guidelines in kangaroo care (KB) practice on neonatal and maternal outcomes in premature infants. The study was a single-blind, parallel group (experimental-control), randomized controlled experimental design with pretest-posttest design. It was carried out in the neonatal intensive care unit of Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine Hospital in Konya province. Study data were collected from 40 premature newborns between September 2022 and November 2022. Premature infants in the intervention (n = 20) and control groups (n = 20) were determined by randomization method.
