NCT ID: NCT05834972 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Tracheostomy Complication

Ultrasound-guided Versus Landmark-guided Percutaneous Dilational Tracheostomy in Pediatric Patients

Start date: June 25, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Percutaneous dilatational tracheostomy is one of the most common procedures performed in pediatric intensive care units. The investigators aimed to compare traditional landmark-guided percutaneous dilatational tracheostomy (PDT) and ultrasound-guided percutaneous dilatational tracheostomy in pediatric patients in terms of location, duration, and potential complications related to the procedure.

NCT ID: NCT05834608 Completed - Oxygen Deficiency Clinical Trials

Cerebral Regional Oxygenation With Manual Versus AutoFlow Ventilation

Start date: June 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Anesthesia induction is associated with hemodynamic imbalances that can affect the blood flow to major organs. Moreover it can result in deoxygenation as well. During standard anesthesia induction the patient is manually ventilated with a circle-valve-mask system until the effect of muscle relaxant shows of. Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) is a modification of a well-known peripheral pulse oxymetry that is used in the detection of the regional oxygen saturation (rSO2) in organs, including brain, liver, muscle, and intestines. In this study we will compare the regional oxygenation status of the patients during anesthesia induction in which either standard manual ventilation or mechanical ventilator-assisted ventilation was performed. AutoFlow(R) mode of Draeger-Perseus mechanical ventilator will be used for the ventilator-assisted ventilation.

NCT ID: NCT05834439 Completed - Anxiety Clinical Trials

Flower Print Activity Applied to the Elderly in the Nursing Home

Start date: March 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This research will be carried out in order to determine the effect of the flower pressure activity applied to the elderly in the nursing home on the anxiety levels of the elderly.

NCT ID: NCT05834179 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Postoperative Sore Throat

Effect of Colding of Endotracheal Tubes on Sore Throat

Start date: March 15, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Postoperative sore throat (POST) is a common and undesirable postoperative symptom that causes patient dissatisfaction. Cold application is a non-invasive, non-pharmacological, cost-effective and effort-effective therapy for pain management. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether colding of ETT can reduce sore throat, dysphagia and dysphonia after endotracheal intubation.

NCT ID: NCT05833854 Completed - Clinical trials for Intramuscular Injection

The Effect of Two Different Methods Applied During Intramuscular Injection on the Level of Pain and Fear in Children

Start date: December 11, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study was planned to determine the effects of using virtual reality glasses and manual pressure during intramuscular injection on the level of pain and fear in children. The study will consist of children aged 6-10 years who come to the Pediatric Emergency Service injection room for prescription penicillin injection and meet the inclusion criteria. One of the main purposes of nursing care is to relieve the child's pain and improve the quality of life. In this context, it has been suggested that two different methods used by the researcher can positively affect the levels of pain and fear. For this reason, it is aimed to determine the efficiency level of two different methods.

NCT ID: NCT05833750 Completed - Fatigue Clinical Trials

Effects of Reflexology in Transplant Patients

Start date: December 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Abstract Objective: The aim of this study is to examine the effect of reflexology on fatigue in kidney transplant patients. Design: The study will be conducted as randomized, controlled and experimental. Method: The data of the research will be collected in the transplant clinic of a foundation university practice and research hospital between 07.12.2020 - 18.06.2021. While the population of the study consisted of 254 patients who underwent kidney transplantation in the transplant unit, 68 patients were included in the sample. The patients included in the study were divided into reflexology (n=34) and control (n=34) groups with the help of a program. Data will be collected using Questionnaire and Piper Fatigue Scale. Chi-square test, Student's t test, Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis test, correlation, generalized estimation equation and Least Significant Difference tests will be used in the evaluation of the data. Keywords: kidney transplantation, reflexology, fatigue, nursing.

NCT ID: NCT05833646 Completed - Clinical trials for Subcutaneous Injection

Comparison of the Effects of ShotBlocker, Virtual Reality Glasses and Cold Application in Subcutaneous Heparin Injection

Start date: March 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to compare the effects of ShotBlocker, virtual reality glasses and cold application on pain and patient satisfaction in patients who were applied subcutaneous low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) injection in adult patients.

NCT ID: NCT05833451 Completed - Renal Dialysis Clinical Trials

Reiki in Symptom Management of Hemodialysis Patients

Start date: March 7, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to investigate the effect of Reiki applied to individuals receiving hemodialysis treatment on hemodialysis-related symptoms and hematological indicators.

NCT ID: NCT05833425 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis

Is Respiratory Muscle Strength, Peripheral Muscle Strength and Postural Control Affected in Scoliosis?

Start date: June 10, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The vertebral column is a structure that transfers the weight of the head and torso to the lower extremity, provides trunk movements and protects the spinal cord.A three dimensional deformity involving lateral flexion of the vertebrae in the frontal plane at 10 ° and above, including axial rotation and physiologic flexion (hypokyphosis) components in the sagittal plane, is defined as scoliosis. Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is a type of idiopathic scoliosis that occurs in the period from the onset of puberty (up to 10 years) until the closure of growth plates. Scoliosis is caused by postural, balance and neuromotor disorders as a primary cause of impaired sensory integrity, proprioceptive feedback deficits, secondary lung problems, organ disorders and pain. Children with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis have inadequate respiratory function. At the same time, these children show muscle weakness in certain parts of the body. The aim of this study is to compare young adolescents with scoliosis with their healthy peers and examine whether respiratory muscle strength, peripheral muscle strength and postural control are affected.

NCT ID: NCT05833347 Completed - Clinical trials for Intubation; Difficult or Failed

Evaluation of Difficult Laryngoscopy With Ultrasonography in Pediatric Patients

Start date: May 10, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Pediatric patients pose challenges in airway management due to anatomical and physiological changes. Using recommended predictive tests for predicting difficult airway can be improved by combining them with ultrasound measurement of the anterior soft tissues of the neck. In this study, the investigators aim to evaluate the ultrasound measurement of anterior neck soft tissues in paediatric patients before anesthesia induction, to anticipate difficult laryngoscopy.
