There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The study aimed to investigate the effects of breast milk sniffing and breast milk tasting and sniffing on sucking success and early feeding cues in term newborns who were started to breastfeed for the first time.
The aim of the study is to determine the effect of individual breastfeeding support on the lactation process. The research is a randomized controlled experimental study. The sample of the study consisted of pregnant women who applied to the Obstetrics Polyclinic of a university hospital (intervention=51, control=51). In the study, individual breastfeeding education was given to the intervention group during the antenatal period, and a training booklet was given to the control group. In the postpartum period, home visits and phone follow-ups were carried out for both groups between the fifth day and the sixth month. The effect of breastfeeding counseling on the lactation process; The duration of exclusive breastfeeding, breast problems and breastfeeding success was evaluated with. The data of the study were collected using the Pregnant, Postpartum-Newborn Information Form, Breastfeeding Questionnaire, Breast Problems Diagnosis Form, LATCH Breastfeeding Diagnostic Tool and Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale.
Aim This randomized controlled trial was conducted to evaluate the effect of acupressure application on gastrointestinal functions and pain after abdominal hysterectomy. Materials and methods After undergoing hysterectomy, 39 women were randomised into acupressure (n=19), and control groups (n=20). Women in the acupressure group received acupressure on the mide meridian (ST36), the heart meridian (HT7), large intestine meridian (LI4), intersection of the spleen, liver and kidney meridians 6(SP6) and pericardium meridian (PC6) acupoints 30 min after admission to the clinic, for a period of 15 min, whereas those in the sham group received acupressure on locations 1-1.5 cm away from these points. The control group received standard treatment. The patient information form, Visual analog scale, the Rhodes Index of Nausea, Vomiting and Retching, and daily follow-up form were used for data collection.
The conventional method used for dental anesthesia in children is the administration of a local anesthetic solution by injection. Although this process successfully eliminates pain during the procedure, it continues to be a problem for many children in terms of dental anxiety before and during anesthesia administration. The aim of this study is to compare intraosseous anesthesia with SleeperOne® 5, a computer-assisted local anesthesia system, with conventional local anesthesia techniques in terms of pain and anxiety.
This study evaluates postoperative pain and radiographic healing of asymptomatic posterior teeth with chronic apical periodontitis following root-canal treatment performed using EndoActivator for irrigation activation.
The concept of self-compassion is a concept that has been frequently the subject of research lately and has gained importance along with positive psychology. It is also referred to as self-understanding and self-compassion in the literature. The concept of self-compassion used in our study represents the concept of self-compassion in its original form as used in foreign sources. Compassion is classified according to the source to which it is directed or received. It is suggested that there are three different flows: the feeling of compassion that the individual directs from himself to others, the feeling of compassion he receives from others, and the feeling of compassion that he directs directly to his own self. It means showing oneself the same compassion and understanding one does to others, accepting and being open to one's own pain, and being accepting of oneself without being judgmental. Individuals with self-compassion believe that the difficulties, flaws and shortcomings they experience are normal. At the same time, they are aware that being human has characteristics and that everyone can experience these situations. Individuals may be less compassionate towards themselves than they are towards others. Individuals with self-compassion are as understanding, forgiving and loving towards themselves as they are towards other people.
Palliative care; It was started by Dame Cicely Saunders in the 1960s as a hospice for community-based provision. Today, palliative care is defined as care that begins with the patient's diagnosis, symptom management is carried out effectively, and a comprehensive, supportive, humanistic approach is based on the individual and his family. When the literature was examined, no study was found that evaluated the effectiveness of the training given by the Pecha Kuka method to caregivers caring for palliative care patients about percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy. In addition, it is thought that the results of this research will shed light on identifying problems related to feeding practices in patients fed with PEG tubes and identifying misinformation and practices of caregivers. Determining the knowledge level and initiatives of caregivers regarding percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube feeding practices will contribute to the development of educational activities and effective strategies. Study results may provide important data regarding improving the quality of care given to patients and caregivers after discharge and controlling complication rates.
A cross-sectional study design was employed, involving 56 premenopausal participants with ages ranging from 20 to 49 years. Serum samples were collected during the early follicular phase, and levels of some biochemicals parameters analyzed.
Although many measurement techniques have been tried for intra-abdominal pressure, the Kron technique is currently the gold standard method. However, the search for other methods continues due to its long application time, the need for more equipment, and impracticality. Consequently, the investigators sought to investigate a quicker and more accessible method suitable for successful intra-abdominal pressure measurement in the emergency department. This study aimed to compare intra-abdominal pressure measurements in patients diagnosed with ileus using a digital manometer and the Kron Technique.
The goal of this evaluate the effect of pelvic floor muscle exercises on sexual function in women of reproductive age. A randomized controlled trial was conducted in a sample of women of reproductive age, 77 women were randomly assigned to control (n=39) and training (n=38) groups. A form including questions regarding socio-demographic characteristics and the Female Sexual Function Index was applied to all women included in the study. Pelvic floor exercise training was given to the women in the training group and the Female Sexual Function Index was applied to both groups in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd months. The differences between those who received and those who did not receive training and the effects of regular pelvic exercise on sexual function were evaluated by month. Research Hypotheses H1: Sexual function scores of women of reproductive age who regularly perform pelvic floor muscle exercises are higher than those who do not exercise. H2: Sexual function scores are higher for those who regularly exercise their pelvic floor muscles for at least two months
