There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Our aim is to contribute to the literature by comparatively examining the effects of DNS exercises and chiropractic HVLA manipulation on pain, pain-related functional impairment (disability), physical competence level, dynamic fitness level of core muscles and postural deviations in patients with chronic nonspecific low back pain.
The aim of our study was to raise awareness among visually impaired women, who are in the vulnerable group, about breast cancer, which ranks first among female cancers, and to teach breast self-examination.
Aim: The purpose of this study is to compare serum magnesium levels between patients with migraine and a control group and to examine the relationship between the frequency and duration of attacks in patients with migraine and mean serum magnesium levels. Material-Method: Patients diagnosed presenting to the Balıkesir University Medical Faculty pediatric neurology clinic between 01.09.2019 and 01.04.2023 and diagnosed with migraine were enrolled retrospectively. Patients diagnosed with migraine were included as the study group and healthy children presenting to the pediatric neurology clinic in the same period as the control group. The demographic characteristics (age, sex, and body mass index) of the patient group and their clinical (attack durations and frequencies, symptoms during attacks, and treatments) and laboratory (hemoglobin, hematocrit, platelet, glucose, calcium, magnesium, vitamin D, folate and ferritin levels) characteristics were recorded.
Kolcaba's comfort theory is a theory used by nurses to increase the comfort of patients. There are limited studies determining that nursing care provided according to this theory contributes to the increase in patients' comfort levels in various patient groups. This study will be carried out in the hemodialysis center of a public hospital located in the city center of Bingöl. Patients in the intervention group receiving hemodialysis treatment will be given nursing care by the researcher for 12 sessions during the sessions in which the patient receives hemodialysis treatment. In order to provide nursing care, nursing diagnoses suitable for the patient group will be determined in advance and the care the patient needs will be given according to these diagnoses.. If necessary, the researcher will add additional diagnoses to the preliminary diagnosis form and provide care. In this research, the individual nursing care needs of the researcher patient will be determined. Individualized caregiving is unique to this study. Individually provided care is expected to increase patient comfort and satisfaction. Increased comfort will help the patient cope more easily with the disease and hemodialysis treatment symptoms. In addition, the results of individual care provided can guide nurses in their care behaviors. By adding this research to the literature, the groundwork will be laid for studies that will provide individual care to patients. It is expected that the results of this research will guide the planning of the research and the provision of individualized care in all patient groups, especially patients receiving hemodialysis treatment.
To compare desaturation and respiratory complications by applying oxygen therapy with double nasal cannula to patients who are planned to undergo gastrointestinal endoscopy.
Preconception care is to optimize health, address modifiable risk factors, and eliminate or reduce health-threatening factors for the woman, fetus, and newborn by working with couples to achieve a healthy pregnancy. Preconception care is the best way to protect against risks in pregnancy and plan risk management. Preconception care offers women and their partners the opportunity to gain healthy lifestyle behaviors, make conscious choices, and gain awareness of factors that threaten health before, during and after pregnancy. However, the rate of receiving preconception care is only 12.3% in our country. The aim of this project is to examine the effect of online preconception counseling on information and care practices for couples planning pregnancy for healthy starts. Materials and Methods: The randomized controlled experimental study will be conducted between February 1, 2024 and February 1, 2026 in the provinces of Istanbul, Izmir, Kastamonu, Ankara and Van. The population of the research will consist of all couples who applied to the marriage offices in the above provinces between February 1, 2024 and February 1, 2026. In the sample calculation, it was calculated that at least 80 couples (experimental group: 40 couples, control group: 40 couples) should be included in the study. Couples that meet the sampling criteria will be assigned to the experimental or control group according to the random numbers table. Online preconception care counseling will be provided to couples in the experimental group 1 month after their wedding date. Preconception care counseling, consisting of 17 titles, was prepared in line with the relevant literature and standardized by the researchers. After the counseling, the couples will be introduced to the preconception care website, which they can use if they need it, and will be given login information. Data will be obtained before and in the 3rd month after counseling with the Introductory Information Form (TBF), Preconceptional Period Risk Assessment Form, Preconceptional Care Health Literacy Scale and Preconceptional Period Health Behavior Scale. The data will be transferred to the SPSS 22 program and evaluated by the researchers. Chi-square test, t-test, Mann Whitney-U Test, Wilcoxon test and paired simple t test will be used to analyze the data.
The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the effectiveness of two treatments for gingival recession. The main questions it aims to answer are: Which treatment method, Coronally Positioned Flap with Connective Tissue Graft or Modified Coronally Advanced Tunnel with connective tissue graft, is more effective in treating gum recession? How does the Anatomical Recession Rate, a new measurement technique, help in evaluating the success of these treatments? The patients will be treated with coronally advanced flap or modified coronally advanced tunnel + connective tissue graft to see which method is more effective in reducing gum recession, as measured by using anatomical recession rate.
In archery, the body morphological and anthropometric characteristics of the prominent athletes change. It is important to examine facial anthropometry, especially since the athlete's equipment touches the facial area, and there are no studies on this subject. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between facial anthropometric measurements and anthropometry-related parameters and sports performance in archery athletes.
Asthma is defined as a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways associated with an extreme increase in airway hyperresponsiveness leading to recurrent wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing attacks. The World Health Organization states that approximately 339 million individuals worldwide have asthma and more than 400 thousand deaths occur due to asthma every year. With effective and sustainable asthma management, it is possible to reduce disease-related complaints, admissions to emergency units and hospitalizations, limit the physiological and psychological effects of the disease, prevent dependence on healthcare professionals and caregivers, increase the quality of life and reduce the mortality of the disease. Patient education, which is within the educational role of professional nurses, is very important in asthma management. The research was planned in a single-center, randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The sample will consist of individuals who applied to the Allergy and Immunology clinic of Sureyyapasa Chest Diseases and Surgery Training and Research Hospital between May 2024 and January 2024, who have been diagnosed with asthma for at least one year and who accept the study [25 intervention group - 25 control group]. Groups will be determined using the random numbers table from the simple random sampling method. A web-based asthma education module will be created in line with the literature, and participants in the intervention group will be given synchronous training in 5 modules. After meeting the individuals in the intervention and control groups and obtaining verbal and written consent, they will be asked to fill out the Patient Information Form, Patient Empowerment Scale and Asthma Control Test prepared via Google Forms. A 30-minute training session will be given to the intervention group every week and there will be short evaluations after each training. When the 5th Module is completed, the intervention group will be asked to fill out the Patient Empowerment Scale and Asthma Control Test Scale. No intervention will be applied to the control group. 5. At the end of the module, the Patient Empowerment Scale and Asthma Control Test will be completed by individuals in the control group. It is thought that web-based asthma education that individuals will receive will positively affect their empowerment levels and increase their disease control.
