There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study aimed to determine the effect of the Facilitating Self-Transcendence Psychoeducation Program, which will be applied to mothers of children with special needs, on well-being, self-transcendence, self-reflection, and insight.
The goal of this clinical trial is to compare analhesia effects of adductor canal blockade versus distal adductur canal blockade added anterior cutaneus nerve block in total knee arthroplasty. The main questions it aims to answer are: - question 1: does distal adductor canal blockade + anterior cutaneus nerve blokade superior analgesia then adductor canal block for undergoing TKP? - question 2: does distal adductor canal blockade + anterior cutaneus nerve blokade decrease drain place pain on anterolateral face of knee?
The aim of the study, planned in a randomized, pre-test, post-test, control group and single-blind research design, is to examine the effect of empowerment training given to inpatients diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) on the patients' self-efficacy, health locus of control and perception of nursing care quality. The population of the research will consist of patients (N=6000) diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) who are receiving inpatient treatment in any two chest diseases services of a training and research hospital (EAH) that provides tertiary healthcare services on the European side of Istanbul. Two pulmonology services will be selected by lottery among a total of 9 pulmonology services. Among two chest diseases services, patients will be randomly assigned, one in the experimental group and the other in the control group. Patients' data will be collected with the Introductory Information Form, COPD Information Survey, Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale, Multidimensional Health Locus of Control Scale Form A and Care Behavior Scale-24. The data of the study will be analyzed using descriptive tests, intergroup comparison tests and correlation analysis. Key Words: Patient, empowerment education, self-efficacy, health locus of control, nursing care quality.
Comparison of complete decongestive treatment and complete decongestive treatment + cycling ergometry treatment in patients with gynecologic cancer-related lower extremity lymphedema in terms of quality of life, lower extremity functionality and lower extremity volume measurement
This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of peanut ball application on labor process, birth pain, and birth comfort. The data of the study were collected between July 2021 and July 2022 in a Training and Research Hospital in Istanbul. 115 pregnant women who met the inclusion criteria of the study were included in the sampling, and the study was completed with 102 (experimental n: 51; control n: 51) pregnant women. Data were collected with an introductory information form, visual and verbal pain scales, Birth Comfort Scale, and birth follow-up form.
In the literature, there are separate studies on massage, comfort, anxiety, and physiological parameters for massage practice, but there are no studies that measure the physiological parameters of comfort, pain, anxiety, blood pressure, pulse, fever, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate in the early postpartum period. In this study, the effect of back massage applied to mothers in the early postpartum period on comfort, pain, anxiety and physiological parameters will be examined. If it is determined that the massage application, which is easy to apply and effective, has a positive effect on physiological parameters such as comfort, pain, anxiety and blood pressure, pulse, fever, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, as well as other parameters measured in the postpartum period, it can be used in the field of application. This is where the originality of our work comes from. For this reason, it is aimed to contribute to the literature with this study.
The investigators aimed to reveal the relationship between serum markers of pyroptosis, GVHD biomarkers and endothelial damage markers in patients who were planned for allogeneic stem cell transplantation for AML and developed GVHD during follow-up. Secondary outcomes of the study were to demonstrate the role of pyroptosis in the pathophysiology of GVHD and transplantation-associated endothelial injury using serum plasma samples; the efficacy of GVHD biomarkers used to demonstrate organ-specific involvement; and the efficacy of GVHD biomarkers and endothelial injury markers in predicting the development of GVHD, transplantation-associated endothelial injury and non-relapse mortality.
Test with standard whole wheat bread (germ and CMP added); Its effect on glycemic response and antioxidant capacity in healthy adults will be examined. For this purpose, adult individuals; will be carried out with 20 volunteer individuals between the ages of 19-35 years, who do not have acute or chronic diseases and whose Body Mass Index (BMI) value is between 18.5-24.9 kg/m2. Exclusion criteria will include using prescription drugs and/or nutritional supplements, being pregnant or lactating, excessive alcohol consumption (>2 drinks/day)/smoking, being in the menstrual period for female individuals, and being allergic to the foods to be used in the study. Individuals participating in the study will come to the research center twice in total, one week apart, to consume the bread produced. After eating their usual dinner the night before the test, individuals will be able to fast for 10-12 hours and drink only water during this period. Basal/fasting blood samples will be taken from individuals who come to the research center following fasting. The bread will be consumed within 10 minutes and venous blood samples will be taken by the nurse in charge at 30, 60, 120, and 180 minutes. During these three hours, individuals will be ensured not to leave the research center or consume any other food. Blood Glucose, Total Antioxidant Level (TAS), and Total Oxidant Level (TOS) values will be checked in the blood samples. Blood Glucose, Total Antioxidant Level (TAS), and Total Oxidant Level (TOS) values will be statistically evaluated in the blood samples of individuals who consume standard whole wheat bread and the test whole wheat bread developed by us. If the results are found to be statistically significant, consuming the bread produced will play an important role in preventing chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. On the other hand; by adding CMP and germ, which are not currently evaluated, to the bread formulation, this study not only contributes to the prevention of food waste and sustainability by using low-cost food industry by-products but also enables the development of a bread-type with high nutritional value in terms of antioxidant-rich active ingredients, vitamins and dietary fiber.
The study is being done to see if ziltivekimab can be used to treat participants living with heart failure and inflammation. Participants will either get ziltivekimab (active medicine) or placebo (inactive substance that looks like the study medicine but does not contain any medicine). The treatment participants get is decided by chance. Participant's chance of getting ziltivekimab or placebo is the same. Ziltivekimab is not yet approved in any country or region in the world. It is a new medicine that doctors cannot prescribe. The study is expected to last for up to 1 year and 4 months.
With our study, we aimed to determine whether there is a correlation between zonulin, which plays a crucial role in intestinal barrier function and is implicated in the etiopathogenesis of many chronic and autoimmune diseases, and scattered white spots lesions associated with lymphatic stasis and inflammation in the duodenum.
