There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The study aims to compare renal oxygenation levels in retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) and ureteroscopy (URS) procedures with a control group. Additionally, it seeks to determine if there is a connection between postoperative infection parameters and intraoperative renal oxygenation measurements.
The ability to perform a cognitive task while walking simultaneously is essential in real daily life. However, the psychometric properties of dual-task walking tests have not been well established in patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty (TKA). The aim of study assess the test-retest reliability and validity of dual conditions TUG, 3MBWT, 8FWT nad 4SST in patients with TKA.
Geriatric problems develop with aging in individuals over 60 years of age. These problems include muscle weakness, balance disorders and changes in quality of life. The aim of our study is to examine the effects of BAPNE (BMe) and qi gong (QG) exercises on balance and quality of life in individuals over the age of 60. In this study, parameters such as fall risk, muscle testing, balance, functional capacity, cognitive functions, depression and sleep quality were evaluated. 56 participants were included in the study. All cases were evaluated for the first time before they were included in the study. In the initial evaluation, Itaki fall risk questionnaire, 6-minute walk test, Berg balance scale, Pittsburg sleep quality index, World Health Organization quality of life scale elderly module, Beck depression scale, mini mental state test, object flipping test, word fluency test, stroop test, muscle strength with Jtech brand myometer and balance on Libra balance board were measured. Participants were divided into groups of 2-6 people, and second assessments were made after a total of 20 sessions of BMe exercises for 6 weeks. After a 2-week rest period, the participants were included in the third assessment and included a total of 20 sessions of QG exercise over 6 weeks. At the end of 6 weeks, the fourth evaluation was made.
Determining the factors affecting hand function after upper limb injuries is very important for maintaining independence in daily living activities. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between core stability and hand function in patients undergoing rotator cuff surgery and to compare the results with healthy patients of a similar age. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between core stability and hand function in patients undergoing artroscopic cuff surgery.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic the use of masks has been made mandatory to prevent contagion. Individuals concluded that the use of masks has a negative effect on temporomandibular joint functions. In our literature search, we did not find any study on this subject. The aim of our study is to investigate the effect of mask use on temporomandibular joint function. Female individuals between the ages of 18-45 will be included in the research. Before participating in the study, individuals will be informed about the study and informed consent will be obtained. Evaluations will be made twice a day, in the morning without the use of a mask, in the morning when using a mask, and in the evening (with the use of a mask for 6 hours, approximately 6 hours after the first assessment). Each individual to be measured will use the same brand and size N95 mask to be provided by us. Evaluations: Individuals' m. masseter muscle activity with surface EMG, pain intensity felt in the jaw area, the pain threshold on m. masseter and m.temporalis will be evaluated. The questionnaire created by investigators also will be helded.
Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) surgery is a common procedure performed to reduce pain, improve function, and enhance the quality of life in patients with end-stage knee osteoarthritis. As with other knee-related injuries and surgeries, TKA surgery can lead to inhibition of the quadriceps muscle, resulting in a decrease in the muscle's capacity to generate maximum voluntary force. This issue can negatively affect post-injury rehabilitation and function. The long-term persistent neuromuscular muscle inhibition in the quadriceps, one of the most important anti-gravity muscles in our body, leads to muscle atrophy and strength loss, which is more determinant in the development of functional limitations compared to joint range of motion and knee pain. There have been no studies found that assess the quadriceps muscle inhibition occurring during the hospitalization of patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty surgery and examine its impact on post-discharge functional status. The aim of this study is to evaluate the severity of arthrogenic inhibition in the quadriceps muscle of patients following total knee arthroplasty surgery, which is widely practiced in our country and considered the gold standard for the treatment of end-stage knee osteoarthritis. Additionally, the study aims to investigate its impact on post-discharge functional recovery. The data obtained from this study will provide guidance in monitoring patients' early functional recovery post-surgery and in better planning post-surgical rehabilitation. The study will include patients aged 50-75 who have undergone total knee arthroplasty surgery due to knee osteoarthritis. Demographic information such as age, height, weight, and body mass index will be recorded. Pain will be assessed using a visual analog scale, and edema will be measured during hospitalization, at the 2nd and 6th-week follow-up visits. In addition to all the evaluations, functional status will be assessed at the 2nd and 6th-week follow-up visits using the 5-repetition sit-to-stand test, 10-meter walking test, and 2-minute walking tests, as well as knee function evaluated through the WOMAC and KOS-ADLS questionnaires.
The purpose of this study is see how effective is JNJ-77242113 in participants with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis.
The purpose of the study is to see how effective JNJ-77242113 is in participants with plaque psoriasis affecting special areas (scalp, genital, and/or palms of the hands and the soles of the feet).
In this study, we aimed to examine the association between personality traits and amount of anesthetic drug consumption,of the patients who will receive sedoanalgesia for the oocyte retrieval procedure. As well as determining the anxiety scores in the preoperative period, the time to reach the desired sedation level, hemodynamic parameters in the perioperative period, peripheral oxygen saturation, EtCO2 value, postoperative pain, postanesthetic recovery, analgesic drug need, unconscious movement, and patient satisfaction.
This Phase 3 study is a randomized, observer-blind study of aQIV (an MF59-adjuvanted quadrivalent influenza vaccine) compared with a non-adjuvanted quadrivalent influenza vaccine (QIV) in adults ≥65 years of age. The aim of the study is to evaluate aQIV compared with QIV in the prevention of reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR)-confirmed influenza A and/or B in subjects ≥65 years of age.
