There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
To determine the effects of virtual reality application during trigger point injection on patients' pain, anxiety and comfort levels. This research was planned as a randomized controlled experimental type. The population of the research was planned to include patients who applied to the Algology polyclinic for trigger point injection. The sample of the research will consist of 150 patients who meet the sampling criteria and agree to participate in the research.Inclusion criteria: Trigger point injection applied for the first time, 18 years and over, understand and speak Turkish, understand verbal and written information given.Patients will be divided into two groups: experimental (virtual reality) and control groups.Data will be collected with the Case Report Form, State Anxiety Scale, General Comfort Scale and Visual Analog Scale.Patients' anxiety, comfort and pain levels will be evaluated before and after trigger point injection.
This study aims to examine the effect of narrative group counseling applied to nursing students studying at a public university on psychological resilience. The research was used a single-center, randomized, controlled experimental design. According to the power analysis results, it was included 70 people in the research sample. In the study, the assignment of students to the intervention and control groups were made by stratified randomization(gender, class). Personal information forms and Adult Resilience Scale were used to obtain research data. The data collection process will be carried out in three stages: pre-test, post-test, and 6-month follow-up test.
The goal of this cross-sectional study is to learn about autonomic cardiac profile changes in children with self-limiting focal epilepsy using levetiracetam and carbamazepine in children with self-limiting focal epilepsy syndrome. The main questions is it aims to answer are: 1. Are heart rate variability and autonomic tone different among healthy controls and children with epilepsy? 2. Does Levetiracetam and carbamazepine affect autonomic tone differently among children with self-limiting focal epilepsy?
This study was conducted as a randomized controlled trial. This study was conducted to determine the effect of music on nonstress test and pregnant woman's satisfaction. The study was conducted with pregnant women who applied for non-stress testing at a hospital in Samsun, Turkey, between September 2021 and September 2022. Pregnant women who met the research criteria were divided into two groups: physical and control groups. The research was completed experimentally with a total of 111 pregnant women, 56 experimental and 55 control. The researcher had a face-to-face interview with all the pregnant women and filled out the "Pregnant Introduction Form". Then, the vital signs of the pregnant women were taken and the pregnant women were placed in the left side-lying position. Fundus height, situs and position were determined using Leopold maneuvers. During the non-stress test shooting, the music group was allowed to listen to music for at least 20 minutes during the NST period. No intervention was made to the control group. After the non-stress test is completed, the "Satisfaction Evaluation Scale" is taken by the pregnant woman herself. The "Nonstress Test Monitoring Form" was filled out by the researcher through notification. The data of the study were evaluated using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences program. All data were first analyzed by Kolmogorov-Smirnov for conformity with normal distribution. were evaluated and then analyzed according to their suitability for normal distribution. For descriptive statistics, percentage across the board, arithmetic mean±standard deviation for those with normal distribution, median and minimum-maximum values for those that did not fit were used. In the analysis of the data, student t test and ANOVA test were used for those that were suitable for normal distribution, and Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests were used for those that were not suitable for normal distribution. Type 1 error level was taken as 0.05.
The purpose of this observational study is to identify the dental and periodontal health issues, oral hygiene practices, and potential relationships between them by assessing the variables that may have an impact on them. The main questions its aims to answer are: Is there a relationship between compliance with the Mediterranean diet and periodontal status? Is there a relationship between physical activity and periodontal status?
The investigators sought to compare the effectiveness of postoperative pain control between the standard intravenous multimodal analgesia procedure used in managing patients undergoing total knee surgery, who experience severe postoperative analgesia needs, and multimodal analgesia procedures that incorporate ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks (Fascia Iliaca Compartment Block or iPACK Block) during postoperative follow-up. The aim is to determine which procedure is more effective.
Postoperative sore throat (POST) is a common outcome of general anesthesia in patients who undergo endotracheal intubation, and the estimated risk varies between 14.4% and 62%. It is one of the most undesirable postoperative anesthesia complications and has a negative impact on patient satisfaction and quality. Mucosal damage, inflammation, and erosion caused by endotracheal intubation all contribute to the development of POST. Therefore, POST is a condition that requires prevention and improvement. In the study, patients will be divided into two groups. The investigators will include 100 patients undergoing surgery under general anesthesia. The first group will receive 40 mg of lidocaine HCl solution 5 minutes before endotracheal intubation, while the second group will receive standard anesthesia management as the control group. Throat pain assessment will be conducted in patients at 2, 6, 12, and 24 hours after surgery.
The primary aim of this study is to determine the transcranial direct current stimulation and transcutaneous spinal direct current stimulation in addition to robot-assisted walking training in individuals with Multiple sclerosis; to examine the effects on motor functions against each other and sham application. Secondary aim of this study is to show the relation of these effects with tDCS and ts-DCS through fatigue and quality of life evaluations.
The aim of this study is to reveal the effect of mindfulness on self-efficacy and risky behaviors in adolescents.
Fibroids are the most commonly encountered tumors in the female reproductive system. In patients, fibroids most often lead to abnormal uterine bleeding and the resulting anemia. In some cases, they can cause infertility or habitual abortions. Another complaint caused by fibroids is pain due to pressure and effects on adjacent organs. Very large fibroids can lead to abdominal swelling. Therefore, if a patient becomes symptomatic due to fibroids, myomectomy or, if necessary, hysterectomy is required. Because fibroids have a significant blood supply, there is a high risk of intraoperative bleeding and related complications. Additionally, the most common complication in these patients after the operation is bleeding. In many of these patients, intraoperative or postoperative blood transfusions are performed. If bleeding cannot be intervened early in these patients, hemodynamic instability, shock, coagulopathy, and, in the final stage, death can occur due to hemorrhage. Therefore, both intraoperative and postoperative bleeding control is of vital importance in patients undergoing myomectomy.
