There are about 3709 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Thailand. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study will assess the effect of anemia correction with NeoRecormon on cardiac structure and function in patients with early diabetic nephropathy. The anticipated time on study treatment is 1-2 years and the target sample size is 100-500 individuals.
Patients with partial seizures currently taking 1-3 antiepileptic medications will have a 50:50 chance to receive Lyrica 300 mg per day or placebo (no active ingredients) added on to their current medications for 3 months. Neither the study doctor nor the patient will know the medication assignment. Vision testing will be performed prior to receiving the study treatment and at the end of the study to see if there are any changes.
An open-label, dose-adjustment, extension study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of eltrombopag for the treatment of subjects with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) who have previously been enrolled in an eltrombopag trial. This study will allow adjustment of the eltrombopag dose to achieve an individualized dose and schedule for each subject. In addition, the ability to reduce the dose of concomitant ITP medications in the presence of eltrombopag, while maintaining platelet counts = 50,000/microL will be investigated.
A second botulism outbreak in Northern Thailand was reported in 2006. 192 people were exposed to raw meat and the gut of deer, 83 suffered from diarrhea. This study is being conducted to compare the efficacy and safety of pazopanib in combination with lapatinib with that of lapatinib alone in subjects with locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer whose tumors overexpress the ErbB2 protein.
Primary objective: To assess clinical efficacy of single bolus anticoagulation with Enoxaparin in chronic hemodialysis Secondary objective: To assess safety and tolerability by the number of spontaneously reported adverse events by patients
This protocol will study the clinical course of HIV-infection among volunteers who have received either a placebo injection or the experimental vaccine combination of ALVAC-HIV and AIDSVAX B/E prior to HIV-1 infection in reference to study NCT00223080 RV144. The study will assess whether those who received the experimental vaccine combination have a slower progression of HIV disease compared to those who received the placebo injection.
This is a multicenter, 6 months open label safety extension study for all patients who are willing and eligible to continue from the pivotal, double-blind S308.3.003 trial
This is a multicenter, randomized, double blind, parallel group study of 6 months' treatment with SLV308 as monotherapy in patients with early stage PD. An open label safety extension to this study is planned as a separate protocol for patients who are willing and eligible to participate.
The primary objective of this study will be to provide further evidence of the long-term safety and tolerability of levodopa-carbidopa intestinal gel (Duodopa®) over 12-months in participants with advanced Parkinson's disease (PD) and severe motor fluctuations.
